Hi,I use default ATC, the way I make a flightplan in FS9 is to get a real-world route from either flightaware or vRoute. I then start deleting all intersections and VORs from the FS flightplan that are not listed in the real route, then I manually and sometimes painstakingly find every VOR and intersection on the map that is on my real flightplan and add them to my FS9 flightplan which works well. So far, even though FS9 is a little over 5 years old, I've not come across an intersection or VOR on my real flightplan that I couldn't find in the sim. Hi!Does anyone know what the maximum number of possible layers is in the scenery library and what happens when you hit that limit? I have reached 1094 and now when I add another scenery either it or a previously added one seems to disappear. Have I hit a limit?Thanks for any information,Bill

Never really had a problem reading the text, apart from when ATI's adaptive anti-aliasing was turned on. Then it and the GPS receiver became more difficult to read. It made the text bolder and less sharp. Anyway, never had adaptive AA on, so no issue.Recently got a new graphics card, NVIDIA this time, my first. Works like a charm, but it seems the unclear text problem is back. And I'm not sure how to get rid of it this time. Hey guysThere is probably other posts of this sort within these forums but wanted to know through you guys experience, as I think the two programs below have been out for a while now. My question is, what you would consider the best AI add-on program for FS9Ultimate Traffic 2007 or My Traffic X or any others I have not seen :)Also, is it possible to take out the ai planes in fs9 so they don't show at any airport when you have another AI program running within FS9?Apologise if in the wrong forum area.:-shy ThanksTerry

HiDuring my last flights between KEPH and CYXC I got a g2d.dll crash to desktop.The same flight during summer is OK.So I guess it must be a fall texture faulty / corrupted file.Can someone tell me how to narrow corrupted bmp files?Or tell me if some file are notoriously corrupted? Has anyone heard of AirSimmer's Airbus series? I am unfamiliar with the company. It looks like it has been in development at least 2 years. The visual model looks pretty good... hopefully it will also incorporate realistic systems and CTD-free performance *cough cough*.Judging by their message boards, this thing is running a little behind (seems like most FS stuff does) in development and that release could be before the new year. I have been away from simming for about 5 mths or so ever since my SATA RAPTOR CRASHED I am on the last stages of finishig a recuild/update.The biggest change is I am going form a E6600 t0 the E8500 with 4 gig RAM. I decided to keep XP and I own both FS9 and FSX ultimate but have helved the latter 2xs when it first came out.I have much dinero invested in FS8 as I know a lot of you do as well and I was just wondering since FSX has matured would ir be worth taking anothe crack at it. I prefer flying the heavies with all of the great addons I have for FS9 with all sliders maxed even with the E6600. How many recently have tried both again and turned back to FS9 and for what r…

I just read about and downloaded from the Avsim library the Maps2bgl program that allows you to import images from Google Earth or Virtual Earth, which then allows you to create photo-realistic scenery areas in FS9. Has anybody used this program, what were the results and how difficult was it to work out?Kim

While I used to fly real airplanes before my children were born, I have been a regular with Flight simming since FS first came out on ZX spectrum. Several years ago I taught several after schoool classes using the donated FS98, and these days I would like to recreate that successful program using the FS2002. When I fly above 20,000ft, fs9 starts to drop nearby scenery tiles as shown in this screenshot. Checking the extended terrain box fixes this problem but then it takes way too long to load scenery files. Anything that can be done about this?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/192708.jpg

I downloaded the Embraer Legacy 600 by Project Open Sky/Samy Fay, and I want to say that it's a fantastic aircraft. However I'm a bit confused. Sitting on the tarmac, cold dark cockpit, and I'm losing fuel. I loaded the fuel, went to file a flight plan using FSNavigator, put everything into Active Sky so it can process, and in the meantime checked a few emails. Came back to the cockpit switched on the battery/avionics, and I lost about 20 gals worth of fuel...how did this happen? Is there an APU that's tied with the main gas tanks for more realism? Also at night the cabin, and logo lights are on while everything is switched off (sort of annoying). Is there a fix for this,…

I have searched for an fde fix for the Dreamwings Dash 8 bounce and other issues, and can only find a fix for the Q400. Are there any fde fixes for the Q200. I did use the Avsim search function but didn't come up with anything...:( Thanks,Scott

Hello AllSome of my posky 737 700 800s have developed what seems to be a renegade strobe effect ie i get a pulsating white light along the body of the plane and engines(some sort of strobe gone wrong).This is VERY irritating and i don't know what is causing it.I have reinstalled the effects file that came with 737,but that has made no difference.I mainly use POSKY,PROJECT AIRBUS but it must be SOMETHING i downloaded because i have noticed that my marker sounds have changed as well(although i am not bothered about that).Any ideas Bonkers i am going I cant enjoy flights unless things are right.PS this does not affect my PAirbus planes.cheers Andy

Does anybody know if there are plans to release the Captain Sim 757 series for FS2004 on CD-ROM? I can no longer figure out how to contact them and nowadays you can't even find a contact link to a developer or vendor without registering in the first place, it seems.Appreciate any posts, thanks!JS
