I am running into an issue where after I select my aircraft and airport, it freezes on the "Loading terrain data" progress bar.I am wondering where I would look as far as troubleshooting to figure out what might be causing it.My system is a Dual Core 3.0 MHZ with 2 GB ram, and 1.1 GB FSB.I am using a NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 video card.My hard drive is a 73GB Raptor 10000 Thanks for any input or suggestions.

does anybody have a file with the keystrokes for these two old favorites? Both start with the refueling probe extended on the ground. I would like to know how to retract it.Eric

Hi all,I have a problem with the new Alphasim Tornado for fs9.Whenever I load this plane I get blurry scenery textures. This effects ground textures and autogen. The textures on the plane itself remain fine.I've found that reloading the textures works for a second and then they revert to blurry again. Has anyone ever experienced this problem with scenery? There is a portion of the scenery in the distance that shows up darker than the rest of the scenery. It tends to fade in and out and shows up only at higher altitudes. I have all my display settings on default. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Bill

I can only retract the flaps fully using F5, not with any of the joystick axes. I experimented with the settings of the sensitivities under options (null-zone and sensitivity) of the axes, but it did not alter. Hi there all, Well I had some time last week and I did allot of reading up on nhancer and graphics settings for nvidia cards and I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to set and change the settings in nhancer and see an improvement in FS. Jaggies are no longer a problem and the quality of the image is much better and it has not affected my FPS too much. One thing that I have actually noticed is that in full screen mode the FPS now seems to be much better and in windowed mode (not that I ever use windowed mode) seems to be worse off since I have edited the settings. Hey guys :)I'm having some problems with FS9 and FSGlobal 2008. Around many airports with FSG installed, I get issues like this:I contacted FSG's support a week ago, but still no response. Does anybody know if there is a quick fix for this, or is the mesh just severely flawed and something I would have to live with?

I am in the middle of doing a complete reinstall to a seperate hardrive. I am understanding that FS9 can be completely installed outside the OS Drive on a drive of choice. (Win XP)Now as I come to the Rwy 12 install, I realize that in the documentation it specifically says to place the Rwy 12 Object folder, etc on the C: Drive. Am I safe to assume that I can substitute whatever my choice Fs9 install drive is. For example if I am installing FS9 on to my F: Drive, can I just follow the typical Rwy 12 installations instruction but substituting F: for C:??ThanksDarryl

G'day guys:I have recently encountered a very strange problem with FS9 following build up of a new PC. The problem is that the engine noise of the PMDG 737 starts to flutter and become distorted. This occurs primarily during climb to cruise, never on takeoff. I used the stock 737-400 as a lab constant, and the fluttering noises are still present but much less noticeable. The fluttering seems periodic even when FS9 is the only main program running.( no active sky, VATSIM, etc) The engine noises sound OK for awhile but then every 90 seconds or so start to flutter and distort. I was just wondering, most of the tweaks that you read about in these forums or for that matter all of the rest date back 2 or 3 years. If you have a a new system for Ex.a 3.16GHZ intel wolfdale, Running Vista 64bit with 8gb of Ram with Raptor drives and a up to date high end video card or cards is it still necessary to tweak your config. I would think that a new system would just tear through FS9 with no problems. Is this the case for some of you guy's...or do you still go through tweaking your config.

Hello,is there any possibility to make two runways in use at the same time. In FS only runways that have the same heading are able to be in use at the same time but not runways with a different heading. Is there any chance to make it possible?I am asking because in some Avsim Afcad files is written that f.e. LOWW both Runway are now able to be in use at the same time. I wonder how this is done.Thx for answers

If you have a HD that's partioned into C,D,E,F drives, and FS9 resides on E, then where is the optimum location for the page file.....C or E, where FS resides? Or does it not matter?Thanks!Rick

I've been trying to figure out what is wrong at JFK for months now, it seems that whenever I am on airport property (or on short final), I get a CTD, well actually, its more of a frozen screen, sometimes the screen goes black and if i click a few times it will come back only to CTD a few moments later. I tried several different scenarios, and the only times I found that the issue did not happen was either when I selected Winter time during the day, or when I turned AI Traffic off. This has led me to assume that my issue is with AI traffic. I use Ultimate Traffic (old) for my traffic and went into the timetables and tried to find traffic that was unique to JFK, I tried rem…

Hey guys. I dont get OOM a lot anymore now but that day i got it since a really long time. I am confusedHere is my specsWindow XP Pro 64 bit (formatted to this to read 4GB ram)Intel Core 2 DUO 6600 -- 2.40GHZ (power supply 600W)RAM = 4GBEN8800 GTS 640mbAnyway when i got OOM, the process was around 1100K (that was when approaching LHR by AEROSOFT)anyway i have pretty much the same add-ons as when i had it before on my old com which was not as powerful and strong but it never got OOM. Settigns were always max and this one i tried reducing settings also but still OOM. Dont know what to do. Please advise. Maybe go to VISTA 32 bit or anything..HELP PLEASE :(Thanks so much.

I end a flight & drop FS to the task bar but when going to resume I just get a black screen with a window in the middle of the aircraft. To carry on, I click Escape & No to carry on & then choose another aircraft. I then get my new aircraft screen vibrating on top of the last one which is also vibrating (no cracks pleae!!) & clicking Fly Now just gets the FS splash screen surrounded by black & nothing happens. I have to Escape & restart FS in order to resume my flight or to change aircraft.This is a new problem & I've not experienced it before. Help please if anyone can!!Thanks,
