Hello kind peopleI'm used to FS9 and its sporadic CTDs (normally texture-related) but this is a new one on me.When I start FS - the splash screen loads, then the screen goes full-screen and black, and the programme stops. No error messages.Sometimes, the desktop resolution is also changed to its lowest setting.If I try to restart the sim - there is an error message on loading along the lines of "you have duplicate copies of FSUIPC" - I click ok - and the sim crashes without an error message.I have recently installed some updates to installed sceneries, but otherwise have done nothing else.A system restore to when the sim was functioning normally has not resolved.If anyone…

Hi Folks :) As you possibly know, every aircraft in FS has a model radius. Small aircraft have small radius values, heavies have larger radius values. Without airline parking codes provided by downloadable AFCADs, small aircraft will preferably use 'GATE SMALL', medium aircraft 'GATE MEDIUM' and heavies would go to 'GATE HEAVY'. There is no general standard, but many different radius values amongst all the different aircraft models. The PAI AFCAD division has developed a radius scheme years ago. PAI radiused all its downloadable models available with their airline-packages according to the scheme, and PAI AFCAD designers created their AFCADs also according to the scheme. …

Hi,Wanted to see if anyone had any ideas on this.At VHHH (Hong Kong) when landing on rwy 7R, many of the landing aircraft taxi off the runway toward the right into the south cargo parking, though their gates are to the left in the main terminal areas. This involves them having to taxi back across rwy 7R the often get held up there by other arriving/departing aircraft. Is there a way to control how the AI's taxi? There are plenty of runway exits to the left, but they still prefer to taxi right to the south. taxi flow can get a little tricky so just a question on controlling it. thanks

Somehow I missed this. Cloud Nine's Los Angeles (KLAX) is now for sale. You can download a 7 minute "trail" of it, then it defaults to your default KLAX. I have been waiting for a long time for this, but as of right now, Aerosoft has NOT made it availabe for its AES program but I think they are working on it. Hi folks,Had this warning come when I switched on this morning:Trojan horse PSW.Generic6.ABC FS9/104_uninstall.exeAVG gave the warning and I used 'heal' to put it in the virus vault,I'm sure I have seen a post before re false alarms with AVG althoughI came up with nothing on a search here.File is commercial item and I have had no such warnings before, item has been installed for sometime now.Any thoughts on this would be most welcome, thanks in advance.Steve

Well i am now an owner of a very large expenisve collection of amazing military aircraft and lomac and falcon4 and ofcourse fs2004 and fsx.But i want to fly online and teach my cousin firstly on military aircraft using fs2004 and then move onto lomac and falcon4.But we dont both have mics so i was wondering are there any good online sites/servers etc. for fs2004 , lomac and /or falcon 4 allied force.I know this is fs2004 forum but i might aswell save time and space and just make the one post.Thanks for the tips Richy

Recently, while flying my 757 at FL390, I suddenly noticed that there were no vapor trails. I made a note of it, and dismissed it as something wrong with that particular airplane that I needed to look into.However, I soon discovered that none of my planes give off vapor anymore!What happened?? Was some file inadvertently deleted or uninstalled?I'm at my wits' end, and any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks!

Good Day, new to flight simms, but learning. Can anyone explain if you can copy disc #4 into your system so you dont have it always in the disc drive. Its starting to show wear and I know you cant make a copy of the disc itself even for your own use. any ideas? ThankyouBill C.

I'm just adding some freeware scenery to the New York City area. I've installed the Freeflow New England scenery and notice the coastlines in a few areas are messed up. Presumably the defualt coastlines are still showing where the water has been changed by the new scenery. Anyone know an easy way to fix things?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/192203.jpg

I was looking through the nhancer menu, although I have nothing activated as i do not want to lose any oerformance, i was looking at one selection under "compatibility" In that section there is a option for "CPU multi core support" Should I turn that on if I have a multi core machine?I ask because i know fs9 cannot take advantage of multi core machines, but this selection peaked my interrest.Thank you

I have 2 absolutely identical PCs. Flying FS 2004. I installed FS Global 2008 on both PCs. No installation problems. In one PC the 7 FS Global entries show up in the scenery library. In the other PC, I do not see any entries in the library. However, the fsg2008 folder with the 7 subfolders are there on the C drive of each PC. I am totally at a loss what to do from here. Hi All.I have just tried to install a texture for the British Jet MD 80 by Scott Andrew.But the aircraft shows up in FS9.1 as either all shiny silver or grey type texture.I was wondering if anyone could give me a few pointers on why this might be happening please.I installed as per these instructions >Install:Set both .bmp files into C:/Program Files/FS9/Flight One Software/Text-O-Matic/Templates Then open text-o-matic and followthe instructions. HelloI have 737PIC, Level-D 767 and now PMDG 747, well, the PMDG keeps clocking up memory useage and no doubt if I fly for a few hours it might all run out, whcy is this and is there a solution?It starts at around 330k, with other planes it stays around that figure, with PMDG it hits 600k within 30 mins.I have MCE 2005I have just installed KIS 2009, just upgraded from 7, I don't think its the virus scanner as it only affects PMDG.krishan

I want to do some chopper flying in FS9. It's an aspect of the sim I've yet to explore. I wondering if those of you familiar with what available could point me to a few of the downloads that are generally considered to be "top of the line" as far as freeware goes. I'm particularly interested in good flight dynamics, and a great VC for sightseeing. Have any heli models been built using the "RealAir"-type super-smooth 3d guages in the VC?

Not sure if FSUIPC is the problem, I am hoping that someone can help. I upgraded to 3.82 and now I have problems with the A/P.While on approach to any airport with FS-9.1 auto pilot flying the plane right before touch down the plane will pitch down and I crash. Then one time same setup the A/P just turns off and will not respond at all. The worst of it this does not happen all of the time.The above happens with pay ware, Freeware, or FS-9 planes.Eddie

Hi I'm having a major problem that seems to affecting all my aircraft.When I am flying an approach with the autopilot on and with app mode engaged, I turn the autopilot off at about 300ft to hand fly the remainder of the approach. At about 100-50ft, the trim starts to wind out to full nose down!!! Battling like mad I can sometimes save it, sometimes loose it. This only happens if I use the app mode to fly the aircraft. If I use the autopilot in navlock etc but not app the aircraft performs normaly. The problem occurs with 1 or 2 autopilts connected.I have the PMDG 737-600/700, Wilco 737-300/400/500, Wilco Airbus series 1 pro and Level D 767 on DVD and Dreamfleet 727 downl…
