Well i just decided to update my military fighters and have got some nice f-18,f-14,f-15 ,f-16 and some other really nice planes and decided to practice some mid-air fuelling with fsrecorder the cls dc-10 and some of my military aircraft. So i deployed the drogue from the dc-10 and started recording my aircraft flying. after 3 or so minutes i stopped and decided to slew back to where i started recording and load up my f-18 and "play as traffic" but my screen goes black and i get the "microsoft flight simulator 9 has encountered a problem and needs to close" error. Hi folks,after checking quite a lot of webspace for this problem with no results worth speaking of them, i post this problem once again:I have the PSS 330/340/320 and Boing 757 and FS9When flying with a time time-lapse more then 4x the pitch is doing, what in some forums is called : "dolphin-fly". I read it has to do with the slow Autopilot-Calculator, wich is not able to balance every small bump in the normal changing altitude (pressures?). It's clear so far. But: Why does that work on the standart planes of the FS9? Why can I fly with 16x without any pitch-problems and not in the PSS Models. Hello AllI have downloaded this program plus its three add on packs,i have looked at the install instructions and it seems that there are various other programs i have to download from MSoft as well PLUS there are the dreaded how to use manuals (hate dammed manuals).What i would like to know, is this an easy program to understand and use.?What i would like to do is add static ships(tankers and suchlike)to the busy waterways of the middle east.I do quite a lot of flights in this area and these waterways are empty and tankerless.What i would really like is a freeware add on package that does it all for me if any off you know of one i would be MAHOOSIVLY grateful.(lazy...AB…

Hey guys.I'm running XP under Bootcamp on my Macbook Pro so I can use FS2004. Just wondering if anyone has found the best resolution to run it at on a similar setup to me. (NVidia 8600GTM). Whatever resolution I pick tends to either be, too large for my 15" screen (some instruments outside the screen) or its not quite proportioned properly.Any help would be much appreciated.ThanksPatrick

A couple of weeks ago somebody uploaded a new tool to separate AI traffic that would be better than AI Smooth or AI Separator. It is called AI Traffic Controller v1. It required installation in a non-standard FS directory but in a directory that had been created for another add-on. That had something to do was night environment enhancing. I didn't see the link between the two, but ok.The author (I only know [email protected]) said he would come with an extensive manual soon. I am hoping someone has a clue.I update my AI traffic file using the MFC option. It worked like a charm. Better, easier and quicker than using Notepad. Until now.I am wondering if I have crossed a maximum size limit as since this file has grown to be over 16 Mb copying new AI schedules into it leads to only part of that information being pasted. It is copied as a whole, but pastes only about half. Trying again, results in it breaking off somewhere else.Only using Notepad again seems to help to overcome this, but than, having a 16 Mb file in Notepad results in very long processing times.Am i correct and has the file grown beyond its limits? Hello,I am using SBuilder and when creating Landclasses without Buildungs like fields and woods light is shining trough them at night. I installed Shockwave lights and the update 1.1 on a fresh FS9-setup with no addons. Now I experience with the default airplanes (Learjet and Beech King Air 350) having thegaugeXX=shockwave_lights!SW Lights_gear, 1,1,1,1 //shockwave lightwritten in the PANEL.CFG that the landing lights attached to the UC legs just flicker for a blink and then go out automatically when lights are turned on. When I press the landing lights switch on the panel it shut down automatically as well.What's the matter? Is there a gauge conflict?I'd be happy if anybody has a solution.BestGlocke

Has anybody downloaded and used Daisuke Yamamoto's excellent Mitsubishi F-2A Model Version 2 Beta and added the separate third party afterburner and light effects? The panel .cfg on the F-2 aircraft is a lot different than the other two author's panel instructions that go with the afterburner and new lights effects Daisuke recommends in his .txt file, so the instructions don't seem correct for the F-2. If you did, how do you do it and get it to work?Kim

I'm a glider pilot (real sailplanes), and am doing a flight planning project using mountain waves for cross country flights. The concept is simple enough - climb in mountain wave, and then glide to the next mountain wave and repeat.Mountain waves (and ridge lift) are static areas of lifting air. I would like to modify (or addon) FS 9 to do the following:1. Create static rising air fields over certain terrain areas.2. Hi everyone :)I've got a fairly large problem with FS9 right now.I'm able to load FS9 as normal, then select the default Cessna at SEA without changing anything and when the loading screen appears it gets stuck at 0%. It will eventually get going, but very very slowly and then in-game I get 1 or 2 fps instead of the usual 40 or 50 given my specs. Also happens straight after regenerating a new fs9.cfgSo I've tried the new FS9.cfgs several times, and even some old backups but to no avail. I decided to start this topic to seek advice in which AFCAD files I can download to make my FS more realistic as I am tired of being in airports without jetways, et al.I would like to add, that they do not need to have extra-detailed buildings or anything as I don't want to kill my computer. Something framerate friendly would be great :)Also I have to mention that I would like to know if the AFCADs will be alright for the AI I use (WOAI).- I mostly visit airports in the Centre and North American continent aswell as Europe, though I would not mind getting advice in another regions.Cheers! :)

I posted this in their support forum but it gets so little traffic. Anyway I have this problem here: This is off 28R at PDX and that hill isn't supposed to be there. I think the problem started after I installed, and subsequently uninstalled FlyTampa's Seattle scenery. I completely removed it and the hill remained. I then reinstalled PDX and it is still there. The only other add-on I have related to this is UT, but I already installed the compatability patch and no dice. Anyone know whats up?

I'm looking for some real sounding cockpit sounds for the Feelthere airbus line vol.1. So far I only have found two in the avsim library one is an old style robot sound, and the other sounds good but seems to be missing (retard retard retard). Any good ones out there guys. Dave

I just ran across a very disturbing thread at Flightsim regarding a potential serious issue with a new graphic display program called Adobe Air.It apparently can create serious issues with your .air files.This is apparently not a hoax.I recommend reading the entire thread:http://forums.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?t=186262It just may save you some grief.

I would like to do screen shots and videos with unique camera angles and I've never been able to get Active Camera to respond to any of it's advertised features in on my multi-monitor set up, running FS9 in windowed view. Is anyone out there running AC on multi mon with total satisfaction? I've had it for 2 years and I can't get it to do a bloody thing advertised. And now that the key issuance process for Walk and Follow is not trustworthy I feel like I have no alternatives. Is there something else out there that maybe I'm not aware of? I can record fine, but I just want to get different camera angles going.As always, thanks in advance.

i posted something along these lines recently but can't find the post so here it is again.not sure i understand how these planners work exactly but here's my concern. you have the default fs9 database ok? then when you use fs build or fs commander and they update the data base on a regular basis so you're going to have new fixes, intersections and such that i assume will not match the fs9 data base.so what happens when you plan a flight in one of the mentioned above planners and use fixes/waypoints that aren't in the default database.there's no way to know unless you crosscheck each fix to see if it's there.i must be overlooking something because both are popular flightpl…

I think that there needs to be a new iFDG Air France Airbus A320. I was looking through them and about half of them are A320-100's and the others are VERY bad quality. So! I'm in Baranquilla, Colombia. When I hear about Tropical Storm Gustav heading for the Gulf of Mexico by the Weekend. I decide to beat it back to Opalocka in Miami before The Wind gets really bad across my flight path. I decide to stop in for a Cup of Coffee at Kingston Jamaica (MKJP). Now the only addon I have for this Airport is an AFCAD by a Fella named Steve Pickle. The AFCAD program says the frequency for his ILS is 109.10. This is good, but it doesn't show it on the airport info in the Map. Neither does it show in the GPS airport info. It does show the green Arrow of the ILS.on the GPS display screen. Sorry didnt quite know where to post this one but hey here it is..I have Flight envronment for fs2004 by flight1 and in the screenshots on their website (there is a link on the product page to additional screenshots and i think its in part two) there is a pic of a cessna 172 flying into (I think) hong kong with hong kong on the horizon.Anyways I was wondering which settings do i select to get skies like these? My dawn and dusk each only have four options and they all give me quite subtle (but nice) looking skies but i want the firey red textures like in the screenshots.Any help?Richy
