I have a DXT program for doing the aircraft mod pics that I created to convert for FS 9. But my mods don't have gloss shine when I save them in my DXT platform. What program must I use to save so that my aircraft give a gloss shine and how?

When I have finished a flight and, sitting on the ground and select Flights,Flight Planner from the top toolbar, the sim crashes with the message that FS9 needs to close.This does not always happen but when it does I need to return to the Create a Flight screen in order to enter Flight Planner.I have the Sim on my C drive and My Documents is also on this drive so I don't think it is a communication problem as I first thought.It is most infuriating and always happens at the most inconvenient time.

Hi allI have recently started to use a freeware addon from Project Magenta which provides a variety of cockpit voice sounds, including TCAS and GPWS. Problem is only some of the voice sounds can be heard from the main cockpit view of my aircraft in this case the Tinmouse B737-200adv. Other sounds from the package can only be heard from the spot plane view and I haven't experimented to see where others might appear. My question is can this be changed so that all applicable sounds can be heard from the cockpit. I have not found a read me or specific Project Magenta forum to ask this question so here I am.Help as always greatly appreciated.Warren

Hello all,using the PMDG B747-400 in FS9 I try to understand the FMC.But some topics in the FMC main menue are not described in the manual: SAT-M SAT-S ACMS CMCThese keys are not simulated, but I'm interesting what functions are this in a real cockpit?Because every arline can modify the FMC menue I think these display may belong to a specific airline company?Thank you in advance for answers.FlugFan

After a decade of simming I find I am still prone to forgetting one critical item on every flight. I might forget to set something on the MCP/autopilot panel. Or I don't set the temperature correctly. Or I forget to bring up the gear after liftoff (a popular one!). Or I don't set the fuel correctly. Or I forget to set the airbrakes for deployment on touchdown.The old addage, "There's always SOMETHING!" applies very much to me in my sim world. Sigh! is there no cure for this? (I even forget to look at my checklists from time to time!)How about you?!JS

According to the manual for the F-86 'No file related to its content may be used in any venture for profit, and none may be removed, added to, or modified in any way except for personal use.' After reading that I had to modify the plane to work in FSX. It wasn't hard to get it installed, but the canopy reflections were not transparent. So, I modified them and the gun sight, which was not quite as straight forward as I thought it would be. Looking at getting a new rig in the next few months to run FS9 under Vista 64.There are a lot of posts regarding FSX running on Vista 64 but these do not really help me. Has anybody out here installed FS9 under Vista64 and if yes, could you please reply with any positive or negative experiences ?Thanks

Hello,in order to get as good performance as possible in the VC I want to delete the 2D Cockpit the 2D Cockpit influences the FPS although it operates in the background when flying in VC.I already tried different things to delete the 2D Cockpit but without success as the VC does not work as well when deleting f.e. the 2D Panel.cfg.All I want is to delete the 2D Cockpit gauges but how can I do it without loosing them in VC too?Many thanks.

In FS9, Gatwick (EGKK) airport ATIS does not appear in the ATC dialog box. Anybody know a fix?RegardsJohn

Hello All:I am looking for any info (tutorial, etc) that explains what AC config entry controls on ground stability and prevents an AC from tipping either left or right (depending on which way an on ground turn happens) so that a wing scrape does not happen while the AC is turning at around 10 kts taxi speed.I have checked out the FS2004 Aircraft container SDK but it does not provide an answer to my question. Ok, I know how to change the default flight for FS9; that is simple enough.But no matter what I do, a flight plan is not saved. What I want to do, is have a pre-created flight plan load when the default flight loads.Is this possible?My father in law is 86, and I introduced him to flight simming a few months ago. I know how to load a flight plan easy enough, but he doesn't. I am trying to make things as simple as I can for him.Thanks.Pete

That's not true . Its really a BOAT. After 10 years I finally found the link to "pilotable"(stearable) boats/ships. They have all kinds. You must see this one. the link is: http://www.fs-shipyards.org/ Go to "DOWNLOADS" (on the lefthand side of the page). Select "Comercial". The 2nd vessel down is the ANGREA GAIL from the movie "The Perfect Storm". This particular one is for FS2004 but they also have a lot of vessels for FSX. Down load it. It has an "installer" but it didn't work for me. Gents,I need your help. I find it quite difficult to taxi at a decent speed and to keep the aircraft on the center line. Are you guys using any add-on to control speed and to keep the aircraft right on the yellow lines?How are you guys doing it and also which view are you using to taxi ie. top down view or cockpit view?Any help would be appreciatedBest regards

I decided on a rare long-haul flight from London Heathrow to Singapore. I left it at 1.00am over central Asia having departed EGLL at 20.30. Aircraft was the Posky 777-200ER with Project Magenta controlling the a/p via WideFS.I wake up this morning to find FS9 has crashed with util.dll reported as the problem. At the time the aircraft was over NW India. Two reloads utilising Pete Dowson's AutoSave utility failed to prevent the problem recurring.I can never remember this type of crash before. I need some help with the new Bangkok scenery - I've gone through the forums and have tried some of the fixes, but still got probs! Anyway, tow major things - one is the old problem of planes sinking - on the whole I have no problems, but some times on landing and also on pushback my plane sinks - AI has no problems that I can see - I ahve tried the flattening code, and installing and re-installing.2nd problem is my AI is landing about half a mile short - looks a bit silly! Hello,I just saw that wav files are 10 times bigger compared to the same file but in MP3. Does the sound in general have an impact on FS' performance?If yes converting the sounds into mp3 files could give FS more power. Is this right?Thanks for information

Does anyone know the name of the texture that creates fog/haze? I am getting a solid green sky between dusk and around 1AM anytime visibility drops below 10 and its really annoying. After about 1AM, it seems to correct itself, no idea why this is.I would like to replace that texture if possible by going back to the origional textures. I have a lot of new textures in my folder, so I dont want to just overwrite everything by starting over.Anybody have any idea? Thanks.

Hello, I can't get in to my account at Simmarket. It keeps telling me that I am not accepting cookies. My setting are correct, I can post and download here, I'm not sure what the problem it. I would contact them directly but they only allow contact through your account. Without access to my account, there is no way I can see that I can contact them.Anyone have an idea?

HiI had a patch that fixed the problem of land appearing in rivers and coastal areas whilst using VFR photograhic scenery for 2004. Can anybody let me know the file I am looking for please... I'm sure there's a fix out there somewhere and that I had a copy.... but no can find..ThanksBruce
