Hello,:) Does anybody know which version of windows will allow you to get the most out of fs2004?My current cpu is the intel dou core e6850.What should the page file be set at if you have 2gigs of memory ?Finally, I have the new ATI 4870x2 2gig video card. I noticed that the default catalyst control center, will not :( produce a clear image as per say the program used for the nvidia cards called nhancer does. Is there another option for the ATI based cards to set up 3d?If anyone can answer 1,2 or all questions it would be very helpful and thanks in advance. :-wave

About a month ago I had problems with my FS. Taking off from EHAM (the NL2000) and heading towards England, once I reach a certain point my FS would crash. I decided to uninstall Flight Sim and reinstall it and after I install it, it fails to load the game. I've done this a few times. First it said it can't find FSPassengers.dll (i had it before but its deleted) and now It says it can't find FSSound.dll I checked and the FS9.cfg is empty. (Moderator: Posting this under the Hardware Forum as well since that's where I first read about the advantages of a 64 bit OS): Using FS9, XP Pro 64. All sliders right, AI at 70%, all other addons identical.I've been having more than my fair share of OOMs and CTDs in XP Pro 32 so I've done a clean install of XP Pro 64 bit edition on a new Seagate 500 GB 32 MB Cache drive, and then a clean install of FS9 and at FS Dream Team's KORD I get 7-9 FPS with the 64 bit OS whereas if I boot back into the 32 bit XP Pro I will get 21-24 FPS.Over clock settings are identical, I don't change them in the BIOS. I've been running FS9 for some time now but lately I've been having trouble viewing airports until I'm only a couple miles away. Used to be I could see them from some distance away, but now there is nothing there, then suddenly they magically appear as I mentioned 2-3 miles away. I have all the settings on ultra high and I'm not sure what would cause this???

Just a quick one, I've already modified the relevant traffic bgls in my WOAI packages to get the traffic at VHHX. Now I have an airport full of traffic and its great. However if I download and update for a package, lets say Dragon Air will it overwrite the modification I have already made and will I have to go and do it all over?Any help thanked in advanceGeorge

I fly the MDMAX md-80 series and I'm having trouble with 2 items. I've posted on their website but gotten no response.#1-When you use time acceleration, the fuel flow will not speed up. This is the only aircraft I have seen where this does not happen in FS2004. Anyone know how to modify aircraft config, airfile or model config to get this to speed up when using acceleration 4x.#2-FMS-Updated the fms with planepath and now the FMS will not show runways, departure, or destination airports. Good day all. I recently downloaded the "concall.zip" Concorde package by Libardo Guzman. I followed all the instructions in the readme file in regard to downloading FRANCISCO SILVA's panel and installing the guages etc., but I cannot get the reheat effect to work properly. With the throttles firewalled there is no reheat effect, hitting Shift-F4 while firewalled produces no reheat effect... BUT if I press "L" I get the reheat effect whether the throttle is firewalled or at idle. Has anyone else had any problems, or better yet solutions with this issue?Thank you.

okay so i had this one texture problem on an ifdg a320, and i sent it to my friend who has photo shop, but he uses mac, and i asked him to fix this texture file for me. and he did. he sent it back to me via email, still in BMP format, and i added it to my aircraft texture folder. then i launched flight simulator and it kept crashing right when i selected that aircraft. i then added a different texture file, and selected it on FS and it worked just fine. does anyone know how i can fix this?or whats wrong?

For the last few months, I have been getting a periodic pop-up dialog appearing just after I launch FS9. It occurs at three-four day intervals. Hello. I was hoping someone might be able to help me out here.I am checking out the Alphasim Connie and am using a panel that I think is much better that what it comes with. However, The virtual cockpit is still in place from the original panel so I actually see both when using any view other than looking straight ahead. Can anyone tell me if it's possible to remove the original virtual cockpit and if so how?Thanks very much!

I have these problems since day one with my (not so) new laptop (specs at the signature):1) When I press Alt in order to bring on the menu, there is some kind of pause, where the image disappears, or a screenshot of the last thing displayed before returning to flight appears. For example: I entered FSUIPC settings and went back to flight. When I press Alt again, I see a screenshot of the FSUIPC settings window (obviously not functional).2) When pressing F10 to enter the kneeboard, nothing appears. Dear allI have this combination and I have the feeling the autogen that came with FVFR riviera isn't showing - there are no building in the town of nice - totally flat - the AGN textures are all there but no buildings.I also have the simwings/aerosoft France 1 add-on but I don't thing it is causing a problem.Was wondering does anyone have that combination, could it be GEpro causing a conflict ?for info I also have UTeurope and FS global, honestly don't know what does what but got the riviera pack to make my approaches into LFMN more realistic.I havn't yet received my account activiation from FVFR so I am unable to get hold of anyone on their forum.would appreciate advice …

Hi allIf the default afcad is replaced by another then should you rename the default and if so, could you tell me were to find the afcads for any given airport within fs9. I've looked loads but can't find them.The reason for my question is that I have added a freeware airport exactly as stated but just have the feeling that something is not quite right. I.E. the taxi way coloured dotted line does not follow the centre line of the route to the nominated runway and the ai a/c does not follw the centre line on the taxi ways. I have installed the AFG King Air into FS9 and also installed the King Air panel from friendlypanels. I have a situation that the landing gear will not go down and give me three green unless the airspeed is 225 knot or less. I have tested this with the default panel AFG includes as well as the default King Air 350 with the friendlypanels and gear goes down at correct speeds. I have also tested the friendlypanel with the AFG King Air in FSX and the landing gear works fine. I'm just a little confused as to how a panel can affect the flight parameters of an aircraft. Is their a way to fix this as I really like the AFG King Air but not the panel and would like to get the frie…

Hello everyone,I have a question regarding the DJC A320 model. Firstly a little background of my AI aircraft. Until recently my A320 family has been FSP, due to newer paints and mergers I have swithced to the DJC models. I tested the A319 and A321 since they have less repaints than the A320. It worked fine since I just copied all of fltsim.XX entries from one to another. So I tried the A320 and nothing! I've checked the aircraft.cfg, my aicraft.txt file for AI, and I have ensure the texture file extension were correct. Anyone have any other idea as to how this problem could be solved since I have followed the exact same procedure as I did for the A319 and A321? Thanks,JL
