In the Simulator, when the text is displayed above aircraft with things like distance, altitude, and airline, How do I get that to display the AI aircraft's speed and route? I have looked and looked in for the Aircraft.cfg main file and can't find it. Went into each individual aircraft's aircraft.cfg and didn't find what I needed. Please Help,Thanks,Robert

Even though I use FSX on a regular basis, I still so much enjoy coming home to FS9. Yesterday, I took a silky-smooth 25 locked FPS flight from Detroit to Chicago. The weather yesterday was perfect for eye-candy as well as the chop and cross-wind landing on 09R.FS9 will not be removed from my 'pute, for there really is no good reason to do so. With hard drive capacity at an all-time 'cheap'...why would I?!? Too much FPS performance to 'click away....' :)Cheers!Mitch

I was going through my FS2004 and I noticed that I have the SSW A310. I love flying this aircraft. I have one problem. I can't seem to engage the autothrottle. For example, I enter say 250 knots and press the a/thr button on the panel. The button lights up but I have to manually move the throttles to increase/decrease or maintain. No matter what speed I enter on the panel, I can't seem to get the autothrottle to engage and automatically maintain the airspeed. Is there something that I am missing?Glenn

It's great to see that FS9 is still being used by so many!My questions have to do with the flap retraction schedule.My take off reference is the following:V1 = 126Vr = 134V2 = 143The flap retraction schedule says:Vref30 + 20.....set flaps 5Vref30 + 40.....set flaps 1Vref30 + 60.....set flaps 0In reference to flap retraction, what does Vref mean?What specific airspeeds then do I need to use for the above situation?Thanks in advance! Hello, I want to start my AI over again with a clean slate. I've had so many problems getting the custom packages to show. I wiped out all addon AI aircraft, plans and cfgs. I deleted and re-downloaded the WOAI installer with Traffic Tools with it. I reopened Traffic Tools and it still showed the previously deleted text files. I went to the scenery/world/scenery folder and deleted the bgl's there for the addon AI. Can I delete the default AI text files too? Help is greatly appreciated. I want to reinstall my WOAI packages so they show again. Thanks.

I am trying to find out a way of changing the location of static ships. For instance, some are located in regions I do not fly regularly to, but I would like to move them to be positioned in areas I fly to.Any ideas of how to do it?Many thanks for any hints.

gday guys just about to make the switch fo fsx, installed programs on fs9 are voz scenry active sky 6.5 pmdg 737-6-7-8-9 and 744 and 744f and leveld767to uninstall i did 744f then 744 then downloaded a uninstall program from pmdg website to delete the 737's then uninstaalled leveld then active sky then uninstalled fs2004 it self then deleted the fs9 folder as voz doesnt have a uninstall file also some pmdg and leveld icons where still on my desktop so i deleted those,does that cover it all? have i missed anything? also fsbuild i just uninstalled and it left its icon.thanks guys

Is it possible to make a video of a flight using the video maker with in Fs2004 and copy it to a CD or DVD to show to a friend? If possible, how? Thanks jerrycwo4

Hi I am looking for a way of viewing *.fx files prior to poss selcting them for use in a aircraft.cfg file.I.E. Select file with explorer in effects directory and view what it displays like. At present I need to change a file within a aircraft.cfg, then run FS2004 to see what it look like and this is so slow!! So I am hoping someone has invented a browser to view these files (*.fx) and that someone here knows where to find it if it exists. Regards JohnMac

Does anyone know if there is an update for this aircraft. I have had it for a couple of years and have NEVER been able to get the GPS to hold a trackline. It has a lighted, green toggle switch that says, "toggle NAV/GPS" and it makes a clicking sound but there is never, never an indication that it has switched from NAV to GPS. Does anyone have this aircraft and can make the NAV/GPS switch work? I bought it from Aerosoft. Thanks jerrycwo4

For some strange reason some of my World-of-AI packages are not showing in FS2004. For example i have every package that they offer but when i go to Gatwick there are no Easyjets. At Stansted there are no Easyjets or Ryanair!! They were there before so why would they suddenly dissapear. I have checked that the package exists in Traffic Tools and the scenery folder is in the correct place. I have even made sure the aircraft exist in the correct folders. Why would this be?? Help much appreciated.

Hey guys, I tried to get rid of the default AI planes and just use addon packages. Now the default AI are still there, but my addons are gone. I've compiled and recompiled the addon flight plans, the ai planes are in the aircraft folder, etc... I use WOAI, Fruitstand, AI Aardvark and such. I've checked the aircraft folders for the proper calls under "sim=", and all is good. I might have a problem with the default flight plan file, since I took it out, but put it back. Thanks for the help. By the way, is there a way to use custom addon AI and not the default AI? Thanks.

Can somebody please help me out? I think I have seen something before but cant find it in the search, but at the Singapore airport there are two locations on the taxiways where you crash into a building when there are no buidings with in hundreds of feet. One is on the west side by the cargo area, and the other is on the south east side. Really annoying and unfulfilling way to end a very long flight!!Is there a way to fix this?Thanks!

I hope this is the appropriate place to post my question. My PSS aircraft (B757) wing lights are way too bright/big. 'Wonder if someone knows the appropriate way to adjust these lights to make them more realistic since they have their own .config and aren't set through the FS9/Effects settings. Thanks.

Hello I have searched this forum about adding the reverser spray effects, but they refer to FSX or ships. I'm using a Poskey 777v2 and it has a smoke section already. I've read and followed the read me file for this addon but I think my problem is with me editing the aircraft.cfg or panel cfg. See below. (opt1) I just added the txt to the smokesystem and it didn't work. (opt2)The second smokesystem, I removed the first two orignal entries and It still didn't work. (panel.cfg) Is how I added the guage 12 revspray to my panel cfg. Can anyone get me on track.
