Does anyone know the status of the CYYR Goose Bay scenery announced on the Flight Ontario website back in October? It was apparently only "days" from release, but I have seen nothing since.I hope it will still be released sometime...

Hi all. First post here at Avsim, although I have read and watched for the past 6 years. Anyway. I recently purchased the TSS (Turbine sound Studios) JT8-D sounds for my Dreamfleet 727. I installed the sounds and loaded the 727 cold and dark. To make a long story short, when I finally click the starter switch, 1-2 seconds of the start sound loops over and over until I finally reach 20% N2 and add fuel. I was told by support to "click the starter switch repeatedly." That doesn't work, and for $15 I don't think that should be necessary anyway. I know it's not hardware related, nor are my procedures messed up. I wondered if there was a work around in the Sound.cfg seei…

Hello,I just buy Saitek Pro Flight Switch Panel.It only works with original aircrafts of FS and not with add ons such as Pilot In command Boeing 737 (nothing works except gers and motors) and PMDG Boeing 737 800-900.Is it normal? Does a specific patch exist ?Thanks for your help !

I must be doing something wrong but I can't seem to calibrate the elevator axis on the PMDG 737-900. All axis were removed from FS 2004 joystick page and the joystick disabled. The aileron and rudder calibrate just fine but the elevator shows no change whatsoever in the set mode with no increase or decrease with the'in' and 'out' boxes when the elevator is moved. My joystick is the CH Products yoke, I've cleared and reassigned the flight control axis several times but with no help, any suggestions? Other 73's in the package work fine. I ultimately went back to FS 2004 joystick axis page and assigned it there and enable the joy stick, however I would prefer using just FSUI…

Hi guys, I have recently had a problem with my pc and had to fully format my system and start from scratch. I have finished the painful process of installing all of the FS2004 products and addons but now have a problem with frame rates. Im down 20fps and have installed all the latest drivers etc etc and still having a bit of trouble trying to even get to 20fps as it was running perfectly at 40 to 50+ before my system crashed. Has anyone else had this problem or could anyone tell me what i might have wrong?Cheers Adam

so i got the pmdg 747-400 queen of the skies....now when i load the plane everything is normal, and after a min or so the PFD/MFD/EICAS screens go black....i noticed that when i start from cold and dark, they dont light up either....i tried spinning the brightness but nothing...so i thought i was doing something wrong...but when i loaded the plane already running and everything i noticed what i mentioned earlier....so, can anyone help???

Hi allA strange problem, I don't really know when it started as I often fly without atc or use online services.I am able to open the ATC selection window, but can't select any of the available options. For example I press 1 to tune the radio or contact ATC services, but simply nothing happens.Things already checked:- keyboard physically ok- FS9 key assignments (select option 1-4) ok- atc is not disabled from FSUIPC- ATC sliders ok, pilot voice selected- avionics switch is onAny ideas? I'm stumped :(

I have recently moved to a new computer. I have a fresh install of FS, and I copied the relevant folders from my other computer in tact. I have a new video card with an NVidia 6600 GT chipset, dual SLI. In addition to the complete absence of any antialiasing what so ever, sometimes, it can take several minutes for my aircraft's textures to reappear after I switch views. Otherwise, the improvement in performance over my ATI X850Pro is great. The frames have doubled.Does anyone have experience tuning the card so that the textures load faster, or know how to get some antialiasing back?

I need help in programming for CH Products Throttle Quadrant. I've got Cook's tutorial and it doesn't work for me and Peter Dowson's manual for FSPUIC instructions are even more confusing. I'm trying to get throttles, reversers on PMDG's 747-400 to work properly but so far only engines 1 & 3 show the proper response. Does anyone have SIMPLE method to get the throttle quad to work properly?

Hello.I fly from the 2D-cockpit only. When I fly Cessnas I use the brilliant Carenado software together with Flight1's panel from their Cessna Skyhawk 172R. My problem is that there is no weather when I look outside from the cockpit apart from the forward view. I can see the rain or snow when I am looking forward, but when i switch the view to forward/right, forward/left, left, right, rear/left, rear/right or rear, the weather is gone. When I switch to spot view the weather is visible. Also, when I switch to VC-view (which I don't like to use in flight), the weather is visible in all directions.This problem occurs only with the plane and panel mentioned.Can any of you thi…

Apparently I damaged something by installing new aircraft. After a VOR ferquency is entered in to Nav1, I sould see the distance from the station. I'm not behind a mountain. It works correctly on my other computer. I don't want to reinstallI'll loose all my scenery and aircraft. Does anyone know how to fix it?

Can someone please explain in plain English what the backcourse mode is for? I primarily use LDS-767 in Fs2004, not that it matters. But, in what situations do pilots use the backcourse mode? How important is it?RH

Ive got a slight problem and im not sure what im doing wrong, i reinstalled ground environment after losing my harddrive, I've installed selected textures but when i go into fs9 the new textures arent there, it is the same old fs9, am i suppose to check something in settings or am i forgetting to do something.Any help will be appreciatedThanks again.

Hey guys, just downloaded Roland Laborie's great Chance-Vought F8 Crusader and i'm surprised to learn it doesn't come with a soundset. Can anyone help? I have a B-52 P&W J57-P soundset so far, will that do? I know the F8 had J57-P-20A's so is there anything more specific, or anything in development, or will the B-52 J57-P's suffice?Also, what is the best Mirage 2000 soundset out? I have and old CFS2 converted FS2002 one.Please get back to me if you can help, thanks.

Hi friends,I just installed the pmdg 737 NG + 700/800 pack including all updates.But now my fs9 won't start anymore. I only get the spash screen and it quits. When i delete the fs9.cfg file it will start bu all my settings are gone.Anyone an idea to fix this with all my setting still available?thanks
