Hi, I have noticed that all of a sudden I my textures are really smooth and dont have that bump to them, like grass even with this file "detail1.bmp" added to the Scenery\World\texture folderit was from this zip file: photograss.zipAny idea why all of a sudden my ground textures are not so detailed? I have not messed with settings.Thanks

For some reason my FS9 will not load...I thought there was some way to reload FS w/o uninstalling, however I cannot figure out the way to do it.Any help?tks

I am familiar with K events, but is there a way to simulate the pressing of keys on the keyboard, like Shft + V, with XML code in a click event in a gauge?Not capturing keystrokes, but causing an action that keystrokes would cause, with XML.

For some reason when I am in Full Screen mode, I can see the Nav/Strobes through my fuselage! I have never had this issue before. In windowed mode, they are correct and cant bee seen through the fuse. Any ideas as to what is going on here???

Is there anyway to improve the resolution of airport grass textures? I know that this is certainly possible with add-on scenery, but what about for standard airports? I bothers me that the resolution is so low - fine when at 30,000 feet, but absolutely horrid on the ground. Might this be the problem? - that the same ground textures are used for airports as are used for other ground scenery that is generally viewed from higher up?Cheers,Alden

Hi all,Well I just installed Vancouver+ and, while the downtown core looks great, the rest of the city area looks off, basically green with trees and roads, is this normal???I've attached screenshots of my scenery library and the scenery itself, I don't have a whole lot installed in terms of add ons, just Vancouver+, CYYC Demo version, Zvartnots 2008 and Real CDG in terms of airport add ons, as per the scenery library below.I checked page 22 of the manual and seems like everything is in order...?Any help would be greatly appreciated as I live in Vancouver right now and would love to see its beauty in Flight Sim :-)

OK, I've given up on FSX for now.I've installed FS2004, and ramped all the settings up and I'm loving it, but I have to admit, FSX does some things better.I would like to know how I can stop the atc window popping up constantly when atc talk to all the AI planes. Like FSX, I want the atc window to open only when atc address me... Is this possible?Also, is there a view/track pan option in fs2004 so I can do some plane spotting from control towers?Thanks=)EDIT: Also, i've applied 4x Anti-Aliasing in my ATI control panel, but for some reason the buildings in the scenery still look a bit blocky... How can I get them to look smoother.

I do not know why this has happened again. Last time these went missing I reinstalled FS( forcing me to also reinstall everything else I had previously installed as well. I really do not want to have to go through that again and am hoping someone may have a suggestion or two to help fix this problem.I have checked on the forums for help topics to no avail

Recently I uninstalled FSX on my sim rig. On that XP machine, I also have FS9 installed with Active Camera. After the FSX uninstall, Active Camera came up as unregistered. I reentered the registration code but AC stopped functioning. Hi Allhoping someone can shed some light on this problem.When i use FS2004 i run it with timesync. I have set it up for the southern/Eastern hemisphere as I live in Sydney Australia.The problem is this:The date and time is correct however it says the wrong season eg:todays date 18th of December gives me the season FALL when in Australia it is infact SUMMER!Also when I do a long flight say from Australia to Japan, I should be leaving Australia in Summer and Arriving in Winter. But this is not the case.Basically the Seasons doesnt match the Date in my flightsim..... does anyone now a patch or mod to fix this?Thanks

Hi,Somewhere along the line I managed to mess up the lights, specifically the strobe and beacon lights, in all a/c. The panel and landing lights are ,oddly, mostly still intact. I reinstalled the effects file from the Game1 FS9 CD but that didn't work, nor did reinstalling the original effects files from the a/c downloads.I'm not sure where to go now. Searching the FS2004 files offered little. Can anyone suggest a solution ?Thanks,Jack

FS9 occasionally crashes on me during a flight and I am stumped as to why. My computer setup is as follows.AMD Athlon XP 2500+2 gigs RamATI Sapphire Radeon X1600 Pro (512 MB)I understand that this setup is approx 3 years old but I think I should be able to run the game with all sliders full. Shouldn't I? With the exception of traffic. I usually only run at 50%.It's weird, at times I can go for weeks with no computer crashes and some days (like today) it crashes mid flight. So annoying! I have installed several fans to combat the AMD over heating thinking that was the problem.I am running Real Environment Pro and many AI's through PAI. Other than that no other software.If …

Since I was flying Brown I didn't notice it, but flying for Fed Ex now, I was curious about the scenery anomoly located approximately 10nm SW of KMEM. It appears to be a square chunk of scenery that is elevated to 500 feet. I installed Blueprint KMEM recently but that did not fix the anomoly. Does anyone know where a fix is?ThanksMudhendriver

Does anyone have the key to the various fields in a .pln file? When I open the file in Notepad, I can figure out most of what's in there, but some of the fields delimited by commas aren't obvious. For instance, theres a value right after the equals sign on the waypoint line; I've seen values of K5 and K6. And the waypoints ID's are listed twice - why? So if you can shed any light on the file structure for me, I would greatly appreciate it. The web didn't seem to have an answer.

I was just wondering since I am about to have to do it again, how often does everyone have to do a reinstallation? Seems when I do it it takes longer each time! :( Currently it is about 5 per year and 2 hour ordeal for myself.

i can't get a response from anyone at FSD. have sent a few emails and left phone messages but get nothing. i'm wondering if my emails got through or not or if theirs didn't get to me. does anyone know if they're around or what. i did get their seneca v so something is working over there.this is getting a bit frustrating.william

Hi there!!I just installed World of AI and am loving it so far.Here's my question. It seems that each airline I install doesn't produce many aircraft eventhough my dynamic scenery is set is to maximum.For instance I installed the Westjet package based out of Calgary and when I went to Calgary to check it out I only saw one Westjet aircraft when I know there should be more since I worked there for a year lolIs there a setting I am missing where you can increase or decrease the number of aircraft in activity per airline?Thanks a bunch for the help,William :)
