From all the aircraft in FS9, default or add on, which one would you pick if you could only have one?Mine would be the Aerosoft de Havilland DHC-2 Beaver.

OK, so if FS9 aircraft are importable to FSX, then shouldnt FSX aircraft be able to go to FS2004? The reason I am asking is because I would very much like to use the default G1000 C172 of FSX in FS9. Yes, I know I can buy G1000 add ons for FS9 that you can put into a 2D panel, but I ONLY fly in the VC, its just what I do, and you cant just edit a VC easily and add a gauge into it, in fact, I have no clue how to do it! So, if anybody has any insight on this, please, let me know! Thank you very much.

fuel tank does not automaticly switch still, even with the auto fuel transfer in the setup utility. This is with the legacy 600 wilco

It seems that PAPIs are installed even at airports that actually have VASI systems in operation?

Just wanted to let everyone know that Historic Jetliners Group just put up a major update. We now are hosting the Vistaliners 727-100 along with Richard Probst's panel. The FDE for the 727-100 has been updated and includes two versions based on engine type. There are also a large number already of high quality textures of various airlines. The 727 also includes a new sound pack done by our own Mark Cranston. And if that's not enough, there are also new textures for the 707 and The BaE146. I tried to download Real Environment Pro for FS2004 from the file library, but it definitely does not work. The file name is 'reprosetup.zip', I found it, but each time I try to download it, it appears as a broken link. And I was unable to find this file anywhere else on the web.Can somebody help?Thanks in advance,Eric

I have all of a sudden lost the water in the Portland, OR. area. The Willamette and Columbia Rivers are just gone. I did nothing. This morning they were there and now they are not. I have looked at my scenery library but I am not sure where to start.Pat

Why are the pilots condolisa rice and some other senator? I dont know why I didnt notice this before? Is this a joke by PMDG, I dont want them as pilots, and Im new here.

I have recently been using the legacy, and I have a major inconvinence. While on a flight from KABQ-KPHX (short flight for that plane) i have encountered at problem that the fuel tanks do not switch when the other is low. ussually when the wieght gets below 100 lbs, i loose oil press and the engines quit, this happens on the left and right tanks. And i cant put all my fuel into those tanks, being they are too small for most flights. HELP!!! how to change the fuel tanks AUTOMATICLY!!! thnx-Capman23 :(

Or not at all sometimes, unless I pause the sim for an hour.I recently defragged my FS drive (a partition) with Auslogics free disk defragmenter and now textures are very very slow to load, much worse than before. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can fix this?Thanks,Jeff

Does ATC ever 'turn the airport around' during an FS9 session? For example at KMIA, runway 12 is now in use with winds 130 @ 6. Sounds about right. So say a little while later the winds change to 070 @ 8. Would ATC now change the runway assignments to 8L/8R/9 ? I had understood that while there were approaches already in progress, that the original rwy assignments would stay in place even though they now contradict the wind. Is that something we just live with or do we have to wait for all traffic to clear? At KMIA I doub that ever happens.

Been flying FS for about 20 years......have a dynamite setup....decided to stay with FS2004 because I've added all the bells and whistles over the years that make the visuals great....plus I have lots of GoFlight modules, Tracker IR...running Triplehead2go on 3 21" monitors...CH yoke, throttles and pedals. I primarily enjoy flying by the book and have now limited my planes to four: Carenado Cessna 182Q; Flight 1 Pilatus PC12; PMDG 1900C and Eaglesoft Cessna Citation X. I have just reinstalled FS9 on a new computer. When I want to change airports when creating a flight, many airports, although listed with ICAO code, are not recognised and I end up at a lat/lon close to 0/0. This happens with many airports but not all and the problem seems to be happening by regions (e.g. most of Germany seems to be inaccessible but Paris airports are OK).Of course, if I slew to the airport it is there all right.I have installed a few WOAI plans but I can't see the link.Is the mapping of airports to coordinates held in a single file that might be corrupted?Thanks for your help.Phil

I was too fast not reading closely enough...just noticed it's only the FS9 version and not the FSX version...sorry guys!! Please feel free to delete my post...Looks like this might be a very nice Christmas holiday, first the release of the Cessna Mustang and now the Citation X 2.0....wonder which of them is the best and which of them one should get...or maybe I end up getting both of them :(

Hello All,I've discovered that my Airline Call Sign window will no longer drop down to allow me to choose the call sign of the particular livery I want to file. Using process monitor I keep getting 'file not found' the file is fx_nicksmokeAI_sm_lear.fx.I do not have this file in my effects folder and, using search, I cannot find this effect in any aircraft folder or AI aircraft.does anyone have this effect or could point me to an aircraft that uses this effect?RegardsMike

Therefor I need some advise on a possible computer upgrade for FS9....Yeah yeah, I know, FSX is now the virtual place to be, but on my current rig it will not perform satisfactory enough and for the next 1 to 1,5 year I can not affort to buy myself a new high-end system.Besides that, over the year I've spend quite a lot of money on addons, which do not yet have a good FSX successor and I am not willing to give up on.Currently I have an AMD dual core FX-60 which is slightly overclocked to 2.8GHz.
