I'm recovering from a near complete 'wipe out' of my Fs9 Installation; due, I think, from installing FSCopilot?During re-install, from Back Up DVD's, a mamouth problem has arisen. The Asia scenery is not installing automatically - I am required to install each file separately.......each file requires up to 5 DVD changes!! the way things are going It will take me until 2010!Has anyone any ideas for overcoming this problem, please? It occurred to me that I could 'cut and paste' from the FS 2004 CD's, but I cannot find an Asia folder!HELP!Ken

Hi There,I am wondering if anyone can help me , I use to be able to see the information about the AI in the air, and in the information was the origin and destination.Unfortunately I had to reinstall FS9 and now I cannot see that option under the AI for the setting. Does anyone know how to create a screensaver using the rotating aircraft image on the "Create a Flight" page in FS9?I think that we be a great screensaver! Any ideas?Kevin

Has anyone else had this problem? I find it impossible to make a true overcast layer. When I should be in the clouds I can see the ground! I've messed around with the display settings for weather and this hasn't changed anything.

Is there a way to stop the envmap reflections on bare metal aircraft (e.g. AA, CX Silver Bullet) spinning around during level flight? Or do I have to download a new envmap?btw I'm using the envmap from the freeware Real Environment Pro, available in the library.

Hello evryone,For the last 3 days I am struggling with a problem for which I can't seem to find a solution.Here's the setup...I have created a flight from KMSP to KDEN (KMSP GEP J114.DVV KDEN) with Flightsim Commander.For the flight (I have flown it 4 times now) I use the LEVELD 767 or the PMDG 737-800.I am using scenery from Imagine simulation (KDEN) and Blueprint (KMSP), Radar Contact and Active sky (6.5).I have also the complete mesh scenery of FsGenesis installed.For the fourth time in a row, when approaching DVV (about 45 miles out of Denver), the screen goes black (no OOM)and after a few seconds, the all to well-known message appears that Fs-9 encountered an error a…

My problem is while using PSS777 in FS9 I can't get the AUTOTHROTTLE to engage using the default (CTRL+SHIFT+G) I've also tried another free command but it did not work either (SHIFT+F12). Anyone else have this problem?Don

Have been having some issues as of late and thought I had them all squared away, then this appeared.Only happens at alt, usualy when the contrails kick in. More pronounced when viewing from the top/bottom aft.Just upgraded my graphic card drivers and have all 3 contrail files in the effects folder. have played with the Mip Mappingseting but no joy.Windows XP, Service pack 3Nvidia GeForce 8600 GTS4 gig of RamAny suggestions would be appreciated.Cheers,irish3

Couple of weeks ago I posted about Vista using less memory than XP. Well, here are the shots that speak for themselves. This flight took me from EFRO to EGLL, our BAV flyin, which I barely finished under Vista without FS9 crashing. The fact is, same fs9.cfg has been used, same settings, same fs9 installation, same startup flight, everything is IDENTICAL.

Hello,I've searched high and low for help on this issue to no avail so far...The issue: I've recently downloaded Eaglesoft's new CitationX 2.0 for FS9. It's fine and all, but the only problem I'm experiencing is that the throttles are stuck. Nothing I do makes any adjustment to the throttles. I start up the engines fine, the avionics initialize and start up fine, everything's fine until I need to move the throttles - which they don't. The autopilot is off and my controls for the throttles are all OK, but the throttles, under any circumstances, never ever move.In fact, they seen to be stuck in a high ground idle mode; if I release the brakes the aircraft will taxi up …

I'm presently on a paused flight along the North Coast of VOZ 1.8 at around 3,500 feet, flying a Cessna 182 high-wing. Today though, this flight is being conducted in a much different way than my normal full-screen mode.I have FS9 in Window mode and reduced to a 5X5 inch window. With this, and at full FPS setting on the Hardware Tab, I am getting a median of around 95 FPS on my P4 3.5 Ghz/ ATI 1950 Pro 256 vid hardware combination.I am observing with VIVID CLAIRITY...all the subtle elements of real-world flight that you are not getting at let's say 24-40 FPS. I have had FS9 since its release and although tempted, never updated my navdata files since there never seemed to be any conflicts with charts, etc. I just purchased the Wilco CRJ and tried entering the airport identifiers into the FMC. It took my departure airport KAVP with no problem, but the destination KUNV brought back a data error message that it was unable to find it. This airport (University Park - Penn State in Pennsylvania) is in the FS9 database and has never posed a problem before. I then decided to import the FS9 created flight plan directly through the FMC and it did, now recognizing the KUNV entry. However, on approach when I tried to select the ILS …

I've some queries re. a new machine. This will have two boot up options: Vista 64 (chosen for FSX and also because I want to run 4GB DDR2) and Linux Ubuntu for work-related tasks. Will FS9 run without problems in Vista 64? On my current machine I'm running it in XP Pro. I would like to avoid having to install XP Pro in my new machine if possibleI read on another thread that it is best not to partition HDDs running FS9 and/or FSX. Is this correct? Can I install FS9 and FSX on the same HDD without problems? My idea was to partition and install these programs on separate partitions but now I am not sure. My aismooth use to have a female voice. But I had to replace my motherboard and reinstall windows etc. Now I get the robot guy voice that is bad. I don't remember ever having this voice. Does anyone know how to get the over voice back?

I tried to remove FSX and just keep FS9 after uninstalling everthing Scenery and Airplanes and then FSX it rendered my FS9 useless I could not run PMDG 747 loaders VRS F-18 ACM and when I put my FS9 disk in it wanted to completely reinstall even though it was actually still on my drive. I did a restore to yesterday and everything is working again but I still want to delete FSX cause it's just taking up space. does anybody have any suggestions.

Hi All!Installed Mark Heimer's (grand_forks_afb.zip) scenery. I'm using the fp's provided with the package for project_ai's kc-135r model. My problem is only one tanker shows up tail#71440. I installed everything as per instructions,checked and rechecked but no luck. I also tried some tng's but these aircraft don't show up either. Uninstalled scenery, created parking spots and fps for stock airport but again nothing. I searched this and other forums for an answer but was unable to find anything. Perhaps someone here can help. Quite often, (though not at all always), I get the following problem upon landing (in big jets): I have cut off A/T, F/D, and finally AP before touchdown. Autobrakes are set and the spoilers are armed. Once I touch down, I engage reverse thrust (F2). All's fine until I cut engines to idle (F1), when FS9 immediately freezes up. The engine sounds still continue, but nothing moves. I just occasionally manage to free things up by one means or another, but usually I don't get to taxi to the stand, I just have to shut down FS. Very frustrating!Pressing F1 at other times is fine, the problem only ever occurs after touchdown.Anyone else ever had this happen? I've not seen it ment…

I downloaded Jon Murchison's Metroliner III model (met3pasr.zip). The program uses self-installers, one for the actual plane and the other for the panel. But after running both, making sure to specify the correct path for each, I noticed that there was no 'Panel' folder created. The panel installer only adds instruments to the 'Gauges' folder. Not surprisingly, no panel appears when selecting this plane to fly. I tried using the default King Air panel, but only about half or less of the instruments are functional. Does anybody have a decent panel they're using with this aircraft?Tawni

Hey guys!So right now i'm doing a flight from Ontario International to San Fransisco International and currently I'm at cruise. When I took off from Ontario I was really in the soup. Visibility was down to about 2 miles, which was real world judging from looking out my bedroom window. However, once I got about the broken layer and looked down, the ground was as clear as day. My question is why doesen't FS model the fog layer from above? I know that in real life from above the fog is indeed visible. Hi to all!I have a strange problem with FS2K4 and is not simply for me explain in english, be patient! The sim run ok, without stuttering or other problems, but I have a problem with buildings, trees and fences textures: all the texture of these objects seem that are in movement, when you fly or when you panning out of aircraft...
