Having bought and installed UT Alaska/Canada, I find myself wondering if perhaps I'm doing something wrong in the installation or if it's just the nature of the beast, but I have lost a lot of lakes from the default in the Kenai Area and many large lakes are not even depicted. I've even lost several lakes that have seaplane bases (Salamatov comes immediately to mind) in them as well as the Kenai Municipal Airport float pond. Is UT Alaska/Canada really missing all these, or have I just botched the installation?

Hi!Sorry for my english :( I have both FS9 and FSX on my computer. The problem is the joystick axes in FS9 arent smooth enough. Let me explain. Even though I have a Saitek Aviator stick I still prefer to use an old Logitech Dual Action Gamepad (it looks like this http://img134.imageshack.us/img134/3637/lo...ongamepid0.gif). I assigned the head movements to the right "stick", it's not as good as Trackir but still very usefull. (totally awesome in my opinion to be honest! :D)So in FSX head movements are perfectly smooth, it's a real pleasure to look arround. In FS9 it's "choppy". Is there a way to "smoothen" or filter them so the joystick behavior is like in FSX?Thanks!

Hi peeps,Havent been long back into the whole FS thing after a 2 year break and need some help setting things up again.....Ive managed to get my head around most of it, but how do I set up some decent AI aircraft? I remember ages ago I spent a long time doing this, finding cool liveries from several airlines, playing about with them etc, esp the Frontier liveries with all the animals on the tail. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how to go about doing this again? Its a little vague i know...Many thanks

Hi,When piloting jets, seems you would have to elect to use either the FMC for flight planning, or have ATC direct you to your destination. Are both ever used together? Seems with the default ATC vectoring you 20 degrees to the left, then back 40 degrees to the right (rather frequently), versus the FMC with a predefined flight path, it would be counter-intuitive to use both at the same time. Hi guys!I want to download the new vidp afcad, however the avsim library says its only for fsX.I am using fs2004, Can i use this afcad file, though its actually meant for fsX?just a bit confused and thanks for the helpregardsabn

I have Ground Environment Pro, FS Genesis, and the Ultimate Terrain series, but only the Ultimate Terrain series shows up in my scenery library. There's nothing there that says, "Ground Environment Pro" and "FS Genesis." Should there be? Is there a way I can correct it if they are supposed to be there?Thanks,RH

A little help is needed.I want to fly from KGRR Rwy 35 to KMSP Rwy 30R. I am using the Feelthere Embraer 170. My flight plan is as follows:KGRR GRR ADALE BAE KMSPI don't believe that there is a vaild SID for my departure from Grand Rapids MI, but I know that there is a vaild STAR for Minneapolis. My question is what is the correct STAR and Approach that I need to select to arrive at Rwy 30R in Minneapolis. I believe that the STAR should be EAU8, but I am uncertain what the approach should be prior to 30R.ThanksTom

Hi all!I'm trying to add Rob Barendregt's GPWS gauge (rcbgp-33.zip here at AVSIM) to some panels. One of the gauges that has to be added to the panel.cfg is this one:gauge**=GPWS_Sound!dsd_xml_sound3, 0,0,,, ./sound/GPWS/Sound.iniI know that the gauge has to look in the FS main sound folder and then in the GPWS subfolder for the Sound.ini file. But what does ./ exactly mean? Does it mean ' go back one folder ' or ' go back to FS main folder ' ? If it means ' go back one folder ' is it possible to use ././ to go back two folders?Many thanks!J.R.

I just installed scenery for Ushuaia airport (SAWH) in Argentina. The scenery is very good, but my AI float about the apron. I have the JABBgl program that fixes that but never used it before. How do I know which BGL do I need to change to get the AI back down on the apron? If anyone has made this fix before could you post the new bgl number?The scenery is the one on flightsim (fuego9.zip) if anyone is interested.

Can any one help with installing the fsuipc into f/sim so it can be seen on the menu bar in flight sim.I tried reading the user guide, but its all jig saw puzzle. I be very thankful if you could help!!! :(

Hi all!I'm trying to set up the B738 from POSKY with the great panel from Paul Scarratt (setup.zip here at AVSIM).In the panel readme it says that the [LIGHT] section of the aircraft.cfg probably needs some changes to fit with the panel light switches. But I don't see what changes...Did anyone modify the [LIGHT] section with good results? If yes, please post it here.Many thanks!J.R.

Hi,Flying near CYZF all the lakes are raised in the most silly fashion. I know this is a well-known problem in FS9, but I haven't seen it this bad before, there are dozens and dozens of them. Does everyone have the same effect? If I remove HP917090.bgl from NAMW the lakes disappear - looks better without them, but is there any way of fixing the bgl and getting the lakes back? I dissembled it, but it results in an .asm file: I don't know how to edit these terrain data files.Thank you,Martin

I downloaded this program and have been trying it out. But I'm not having any luck. No matter what I try I am not able to see any GA traffic what so ever. In order to test this I have disabled GA traffic in FS9 itself leaving only airline traffic. I am under the impression that GA-Traffic will handle all GA traffic by itself with no help from the standard FS9 traffic. Is this not the case? Is there something else I need to do? I've tried it at 50%, 100% and 150% parking spaces used. According to the manual and FAQ people often complain of too many GA aircraft and ask how they can tone it down some. But I'm getting nothing! I have done many reinstalls of FS2004 but it has been a very long time since I have re-installed the Operating System (XP).One question for anyone who has done it recently - does the Install program offer an option to FORMAT the destination drive prior to starting the install? I just cannot remember.I need to reformat my HD - caught a nasty computer virus over the Holidays - and if the install program offers that option, it will save me hunting down a bootable utility disk.Thanks in advance. :(

Hi guys,I did a fresh install of Windows and FS9. My system crashes mid flight in different aircraft and different scenery areas. First the monitor turns off and seconds later I get a sound loop over and over again until I reset the machine and restart. Doesn't happen on all flights but happens on some specific flights and periodically on other flights. Had all of the hardware confirmed running properly. NCPRO was the last thing the machine was dealing with before it crashed. NCPRO is Natural Color Pro by Samsung. I installed it with my new build but it never installed properly or was not compatible so I uninstalled it. I think it may have left something behind causing my…

Hi all,I'm enjoying FS9 immensely, especially after picking up a pair of 3D shutter glasses. Stereoscopic flights are incredible, but the 3D experience causes PAPIs, VASIS, and other lighting systems to 'pop out' of the screen, as though they're not positioned correctly in their 3D world. Could anyone who uses shutter/anaglyph 3D glasses suggest a workaround?

My reason for this question is thar I was looking through a list of mt Serials for purchased Aircraft, Scenary etc. etc. and found a Serial number for this program but cannot find the program anywhere on my hard drives or on the web. Since others may also be interested-Go to Control Panel/display/appearance/advanced/item/active title bar.There you will find a palette of colours, type fonts & sizes.(This for Win XP)My choice for making these bars "disappear" is black or charcoal background with dark green letters.Alex Reid
