i have heard rumors its possible to port your cfs3 aircraft into fs9. i believe it was a major factor in my fs9 purchase. currently im scouring the internet for the "how to" and if "so" of it, and since AVSIM has the greatest info bearing system related to flight simming, im asking you here.thank you

Got a fresh install of FS9.1. Ran simply great for two weeks. Last night it simply would not start any more. The splash screen would appear along with the hourglass. After 10 seconds or so the hourglass would turn into a regular cursor and I could see in Task Manager that FS9 has stopped responding. Under Vista 64 I had turned off UAC. FS9 was installed in a separate folder.My other 3D application (Lock-On) runs just fine. Ran a 4-hour memory test - no errors. Reinstalled ATI drivers (HD4850 here). Turned off sound card.Recreated FS9.cfg.Reinstaled 9.1.Disabled all add-on sceneries by manually editing scenery.cfg.Tried starting in Windowed mode.Reverted to the default FS9…

Hello Everybody. I just wondering that does anybody know new add-on plans / projects? PMDG, Wilco, CLS, Flight1... It would be fantastic if somebody releases a high fidelity Bae146, Saab or Fokker.. Like PMDG 737NG...

I see people posting every now and then 2x2 shots - 4 shots in one picture. Is there an easy way to accomplish that? Is there some special program to make that?

Hi.I noticed this evening that I'm having trouble trying to use the radio in the MD11 when on VATSIM via Sqawkbox.All I get is the error sound when trying to transmit voice.I can tune to the controller, and hear them, but not transmit anything as comm1 seems to be playing up.It just goes straight to comm2 displaying the MIC button on comm2 as well.anyone else had this problem at all.Thanks for any info on this. I recently loaded FS9 and noticed the simulator was initializing new, or newly deleted scenery. When I fired up a flight at KCLT, I noticed white blocks in the place of trees and a blank, white sky. I loaded TNCM and the same issue. I then searched for KIAD and noticed it wasn't in the database. The only recent change I have made was to my FMCWP\NAVDATA because my PMDG 747 wasn't picking up the new 0901 AIRAC. Long story short, it's obvious I'm missing some default textures, or in this case even a few Activesky textures, but what would have caused this? And why is KIAD suddenly missing from my airport database?

After a recent format I have run into a large problem.I get TCAS2V7.dll CTD errors (dll is reported by FS9.exe as causing the error) on short final while flying the PMDG birds (737 or 747).Now what I want to ask is some of your settings here for people using the following......FSUIPC (latest version fully registered)TCAS2V7.dll (1.1.6.0)AI Smooth 1.20Up to date versions of the PMDG 737 and 747I'm wondering what you have from TCAS setting in the PMDG menus? Should I read it from FS2004 internal or FSUIPC TCAS? The PMDG 737 has a dome light so you can see the gauges in dull daylight conditions. Can you add a dome light, or something similar, to any other aircraft.VC gauges unusable in low winter light conditions I find.

Hello,I am wondering if there is any way to change the time that FS will use the night textures. My night lighting always seems to come on well after it gets dark. Can I adjust this to enable FS to think that night is earlier?

I thought this problem had been posted before (surely?) but none of the searches I have done have showed up a thread, so...Would anyone know why so often there is such a big difference between the altitude shown on my flight instruments (and in FSNavigator) and what shows up in the onscreen data (from Shift+Z). At the moment, according to my PMDG 737 panel (though it happens in all a/c) I am at 30000' - QNH showing 29.92 STD. FSNavigator agrees. But the onscreen data shows me almost 500' higher - and ATC will often (though oddly not always) pick up on this and tell me I am too high and to descend.Anyone know what is going on and if it's fixable?Martin

Hi,I'm unable to simply copy a textures folder into another aircraft folder, an easy task of course, untill today. I Never had any problems before, untill I attempted to add/transfer textures folder from & to a ' Rainer Mehlin ' A.I A380. The file from here is 'ai_a380_airbus.zip'. Are these files protected in any way? because I simply cannot copy or modify them in anyway!Any ideas?All I would like to do is add a model & my flight plan/s of an A380, I have plenty of others already & have added models countless time before. But I'm a little stuck with this at the moment.Thanks in advance for any advice!

Has anyone installed this airport (from http://teciyoo.tistory.com)? I downloaded the exe file and ran it to a dummy folder, and that seems fine, as far as it goes - I get the scenery and texture folders and the aiprort in FS9 when I move the folders to the right places... But (using Google translation tool - I can't speak Korean!) the site seems to say to download both available files, the second being "JejuScenery2.001"; but I have no idea what this 6MB file is supposed to do - it has no proper file extension and it's not a zip or exe file.Also not sure what the four "AF_RKPC" files are in a separate folder - other AFCADs? But without documentation it's all a bit confus…

HiI have just re-installed FS9 onto a new PC.Intel Dual E8600 ( 2X 3.33 Ghz)8GB RAMNVidia GEFORCE 1MB 9800GTVista 64bit Home Premium.When I tried flights at Seattle Tacoma, ruwnays had flashing strobe lights. Same at Atlanta, San Francisco, Los Angeles.Tried in UK at London Heathrow, Gatwick, Glasgow - none had strobe runway lights.I thought on my old PC this was because I could not have the sliders to the "right" Lights are now on 8.Is this correct? Hi everyone. Just a little problem, someone may know how to solve it. Flight1 Atr 72-500, DA Fokker 70-100, PSS 777 add-ons hae got on-board Weather radar. It's very useful and make it a bit more realistic. But I couldn't manage the set-up weather radar. probably, I don't know how does it work? I just keep turning knobs and buttons. No luck! can anyone teach me how to use weather radar? how should I read them? Especially ATR 72-500.. Weather radar not displaying any clouds at all... ?

I have Shockwaves P51D Installed in my FS9 and because I do not yet have a Yoke & Peddles, Toe Brakes I have a hell of a time when I try to taxi to parking. Does anyone know what to do to enable tailwheel steering on this bird please??? :(

A flight is setup and it includes complete flight instructions. Cool !! :(

:( Hello, I am trying to download the Tinmouse 737-200adv v2 but I am unable to find it. When I enter Tinmouse 737-200adv v2 into the search engine of AVsim, all it comes up with is the textures and then it states that you must have Tinmouse 737-200adv v2 installed which can be found here at AVsim. Well I cannot find it could someone please help?Thank you.
