Downloaded this aircraft file and installed. It's listed as a complete package but there're no gauge files. There's a download listed in the readme files, rcbco-11.zip,which are some gauges and sound for carrier landings.Is there any original guages for this aircraft?? :(

I cant go to airports around Cuba, Virgin islands. Looks like I'm good to a little south of key west, north Venezuela. I suspect its some terrain issue. I dont believe I have ever loaded any add-on terrain here, on purpose, as I usually fly (for years) in the USA. On some airports near this area, it will load to 10% and then hang. On the ones such as TIST, it just says 0% and hangs. I have to ctrl/alt/del to see MSFS "not responding".So what do you think? Repairable in any way? Or just forget about that area and stay in the good ol USA? If somebody knows what name area this is I might could try un-checking s0me scenery files in the library.Thanks,,GLB

Hi,whenever the engines spool up or down on any of my installed aircraft, the sound is lagging behind and comes in chunky "stages" rather than the normal smooth transitioning. In other words the sound gets stuck for maybe one second at a certain level of the engine spool sound spectrum, and then makes a jump from there to a much higher/lower level as if it was trying to "catch up" by cutting some corners along the way, if that makes sense. It's incredibly annoying and of course unrealistic.I've tried removing all add-on sceneries and switching off all my AI traffic, thinking FS9 had somehow become overloaded, but that hasn't solved the problem.Has anyone experienced somet…

Hey guys, just a quick question, can you run multiple WideFS clients simultaneously? I am just curious. I already have one WideFS box running ASA and FSEarth. I now want to take a second box for PFE and FDC. Reason being the first wideFS box is used during the day so I do not want to re-route all my sound to my FS box for PFE and FDC. Hence the desire to use a second WideFS box with audio out dedicated to my FS box for those apps... Anyone know if this will work?Thanks in advance.-Paul

I appear to have lost fs9.cfg. If I go to Documents and Settings\<User>\ I do not have an Application Data folder. Can anyone help please?

I am tempted to buy Wilco Airbus Vol 1 but I see that in order to use the aircraft properly, Wilco says that you must deactivate some things on the registered version of FSUIPC (which is what I use). This includes FSUIPC boxes pertaining to autopilot usage, trim, vertical speed, and something for proper autothrottle usage. That is quite a list and I don't like it.This doesn't look promising to me. I run a vast FS9 set-up with huge fleet and all has been stable for a very long time now with FSUIPC set perfectly a long time ago. It controls various amounts of my hardware too. I used RC in FS2002 but was wondering whether it would work in FS9. Has anyone ever managed to install and use it with FS9?Airbus

Hi all, got FS9 running brilliantly! Absolutely amazing with PMDG and FS2crew Active Sky FS Passengers Track IR 4 etc etc etc...immersion complete. Full stop. Time to learn and fly!Well almost, one minor thing. A few minor stutters here and there. Now Im thinking maybe this is My AI causing this? Only really happens around complex airports with lots of AI?Just really want to know, those with similar systems to mine and running everthing maxed out with all the latest addons, what CFG tweaks you using? I'm trying to Edit a .wav file, this file is in my aircraft/Sound file. There is, or should be, a speed restriction which I want to change.Is there a way of opening this .wav file?Ken

Hallo guys!I have tried today to add a ATIS frequency to a airport. I have choosen a airport without ATIS providing and opened the file with AFCAD.There i found no ATIS frequency and i added one then. I choose a very common frequency and i safed the file. I also checked later on if my ATIS is still available at the AFCAD programm and i dont have any other file of the same airport running on my FS9.But i cannot hear anything. When i tune the frequency i dont get a ATIS voice even it is shown on the AFCAD.Can somebody help me to proper add a ATIS to airports?Many thanx guys...Klaus

This problem has three parts:Part 1 Vista 64Part 2 FS9Part 3 Saitek Yoke and Rudder PeddlesI have loaded FSX onto Vista 64 and it is working perfectly, my Saitek Yoke works flawlessly along with the Rudder Peddles. I loaded FS9 onto Vista 64 and it works fine except I can not set the Mixture and Prop quadrant assignments. I have tried everything I can think of. I know it will work because I had it installed and running fine before I had a drive crash and had to reinstall everything. Hi everybody,Having tried many crosswind-landing techniques and knowing the theory about them (crab-angle approaches, wing-low method etc.) and having watched real-life videos as well, I wonder how realstically FS9 can allow us to fly such approaches. What I have noticed is that even though one may approach in a crab angle the runway with the aircraft path-over-ground perfectly aligned with the RWY centerline, once the FS pilot applies opposite rudder prior to touching-down to align the aircraft NOSE with the centerline, the aircraft drifts UPWIND!!! (INTO the crosswind component!!!) even before any upwind aileron is applied! Eventually the aircraft, ofcourse, will start …

I have, finally, built my new computer and installed FS9. I seem to remember a guide posted somewhere on optimizing the config file. Does anyone recall where this can be found?Dave

Apologies if this is a repeat but I have been having logon problems.When I go to Flight Planner to load an existing flight plan, as soon as I click on "Flight Planner" the hour glass appears and the sim closes with the usual message that "it needs to close" etc.I have tried all the options I can think of, any ideas?

I was running FS9 on this system smooth as silk for 2 years. This happened to me once before, some time last year, and frankly I don't recall what, if anything, I did to fix it. It happens sort of intermittently, and I can't for the life of me figure out what is causing it. Sometimes when I start a flight and the little progress bar is telling me what is being loaded etc, the sim will crash when it gets to 77% - Loading Weather. When this happens, I can restart the sim, and if I load a flight with "clear skies" the sim loads just fine and I am able to fly. But if I add any sort of weather - either through ActiveSky 6.5 - or default weather of any kind, the sim will crash. Again, this only happens intermittently. I remember it…

So I've been away from FS world for a while, mostly due to having a PC from the stoneage. So I'm building a new box with i7 in it and some other goodies. Just wanted to check if a lot of you still choose FS9 over FSX with high end PC's? I have an option of going with either one, just can't make up my mind, never flew in FSX and I still hear negative opinions about it. Is it worth the frustration?To be honest I never even experienced FS9 to the fullest due to lack of proper hardware and I'm leaning more towards sticking with it.

The other day I believe that I came across a program here at AVSIM that would add waypoints to the FS map. It was a link in a past posting. I remember dowloading it, I think, but can't find it and I don't remember the file name. It's supposed to be a simple program to use, nothing complicated.Does anyone know about such a program? OK I installed my new 9800GT 512mb last night. My previous card was an old, old ATI X850 Pro.As per the instructions listed in a few threads on this forum I booted in safe mode, ran driver sweeper to purge all old video drivers from my system, then rebooted again, installed drivers for new card, restarted again, installed nhancer, rebooted again, ran the sim.What I'm running in to is this: at large airports like FSDreamteam's KORD, where there would be 100+ AI airliners milling around the airport, textures are being drawn so slowly as to make the plane (even the default cessna) unflyable.
