Has anyone ever seen this before.all of a sudden my nose wheel while taxiing start to act funnynow during rollout and taxi, my nose wheel deflects full right and left. I tried to recaibrate and it says it is ok. i tried to re assign but that did not work, i reinstalled my x52 driver, that did not work eitherim not sure what to do other than reinstalll fs9 , i also have a copy of fsx an this does not appear to be a problem in that program

First of all a big hi to all you guys. I'm all new to this pretty much or should I say very new to flight simming and begining to get sucked in.I have vista home premium installed on my new pc. The pc is specced with,Intel Quad Core Extreme CPU Q6850 @ 3.00GHz. Ram 4 Gig. Graphics Card: nvidia 8800GTXI am running FS9 which is patched to 9.1, I believe. I installed PMDG 737-800 first and then 747-400. I press ALT to bring up the menu bar. Then when I go to select options through the PMDG tab the screen goes black. Hi all, I have installed FS9 on a Vista system and have one small problem remaining. In full screen mode when I do 'Alt' or 'F10' , there is first a black screen before the menu bar or the FS flightplan appears. This problem does not exist in windowed mode. Is there something one can do about this? PS: "Disable desktop composition" is already set. Thanks in advance. Guy

I just switched over to VISTA (64-bit) and installed FS9. I then went ahead and installed FSUIPC. I launched FS9 and went and just launched a quick flight to see what would happen. Everything works great until i go and try to access the FSUIPC options. I click on the menu for FSUIPC and the whole screen goes black. My cursor will show up as if there is a menu there but i cannot see anything. I pressed escape and it takes me back to the cockpit. I went ahead and installed my PMDG products and the same thing occurs when i try to access the menu for PMDG. If i try to access the regular options, for instance display settings, the screen does not go black.Has anyone had this p…

I have been flying the Wilco/Feelthere A320 for a while now, but lately I have encountered a strange problem.During a normal flight everything is fine and as it should be, but the landing is truly strange.On the landing rollout, the spoilers come up, the thrust reversers deploy, but all of a sudden the engines rev so high that I cannot get the plane to stop, even with heavy breaking. I have even had to take off again! After doing a go-around I am able to land with no problems. I am also able to use the save flight feature of FS9 and pick up the landing portion of the flight and land normally. This is the only plane that I have this problem with and it only started recent…

Hi,With all the stunningly beautiful airports we got over the past few years (FSDreamTeam, Aerosoft, FlyTampa, Imaginesim), my current version of Honolulu Intl, made by LAGO, seems to be outdated.Any suggestions for a good alternative? I've looked in the AvSim library, but didn't find anything that matches up to todays standards.Regards,Frank

Hello there. I am taking a break from flying - I have been successfully practicing carrier landings with my favourite Sepecat Jaguar - boy it feels great when I can now do it 7 times out of 10! I have been having a look at some aircraft downloads and note that a few have a "brake chute" which can be deployed on landing (via spoilers and/or flaps). On looking at the aircraft/panel configs etc I cannot see how this "effect" is achieved. Does any know if there are effects/gauges available to download to add this feature ot how it can be done?Thanks in advance. :( John

This is my first post in the AVSIM forums and I thought that it should be placed where I frequent the most....the FS9 forum. I have been "trolling" for years on these forums and never had the urge to post anything - at least something that would have been constructive. Hi everybodyFor my FS9 'world', I already have ASV6.5, FE, GE Pro and FSGenesis mesh. Has anyone here got the Ultimate Terrain Alaska/Canada? Can't make my mind up whether to get this. I bought this piece of hardware to use with FS2002 and I am now trying to set it up to run FS2004 but I have misplaced the setup instructions. It has two differant sets of cables comming from its base. One is about 6 feet long and the other is about 15 inches long. They have the old "keyboard/mouse" type connectors on them. I cann't remember how to hook this piece of gear up to my computer. Could you please give me some help with this matter? Thanks, jerrycwo4

After recently successfully (or so I thought) merging these two great simulations, I am at a loss to say why the flaps are not extending on the 50 North model.Any ideas?Greg Wintle

I just have a general question that isn't solely related to any aircraft, but in aviation in general.Why is it that there are two types of flight numbers? Say I take an British Airways flight number, if I was to go to the airport and look at the screen as a passenger, it is BA283, which is BA's IATA code, followed by the flight number, yet if I was a pilot flying that aircraft, in the FMC I would put BAW283, BA's ICAO code.Just wondered why passengers see IATA, and FMCs use ICAO?Thanks,Kelvin

I find this so frustrating anf wonder why this seems to be the only company that can't do this properly. WHat I am referring to is when you update you have to either uninstall the old versin forst and you always have to reinstall the liveries. What a pain! Is their programming capabilites that lacking?

Hi all!I spent some time at Simmarket the other day and came across the Harrier by IRIS Simulations (former SIGMA / DSB).There are some screenies there but very small and the user reviews aren't very useful. So that's why I'd like to ask the AVSIM community:Would anyone who bought the jump jet be so kind and put some screenshots here? Hi,My FS9 was great and perfect until I had to replace 2 HDs and installed the system new.Now with the Water effects slider on Low I worldwide get jagged and blurred coastlines with the default scenery and which remain with UTE, UTUS , UTCA installed.With Water effects slider on None this becomes corrected but all the nice effects on water are gone, of course.All buildings, aircrafts, 3D objects in general are perfectly modelled without any jaggies and FPS with default scenery but demanding airliners are 60-100.I tried dozens of possible combinations with Terrain detail, MIP map settings, ATI CCC Mipmap, AA and AF settings, FS9.cfg tips, etc.But, I think, the relevant tex…

I lost my head yesterday, and reset my screen resolution in FS9 from its normal setting of 1600 X 1200 X 32, to a higher setting, which my monitor cannot handle. So now, when I start FS9, my monitor won't perform at all, and shows nothing. I entered the FS9 config. file, and manually made sure my screen resolution shows the original, ( reliable ), setting of 1600 X 1200 X 32, but anyway, every time I start FS9, the monitor still tries to reach the resolultion I last set, ( the last time I was actually in Flight Sim 2004 using it ), and my monitor won't perform at all. useing fs9 poskey 767 300 with active cam installed...there are no ving views as there is with the 757 200 300...anyone know if there is a fix for this in aircraft config so with active cam i can get the wing views in the 767 300

I like to use the great tool Traffic View Board to "follow" a flight from gate to gate and listen in to the ATC along the way. One annoying thing I've noticed is that there does not seem to be any yaw control on the AI plane you are following. The AI plane will fly along level for only a short time before it starts banking to the right or left and then suddenly it realizes that it is falling off course and corrects by banking hard in the opposite direction. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening? I would just like to see a plane flying level and only banking/turning when instructed to by ATC.Thanks in advance for any and all help! pb737

I have made some mesh terrain modifications in my Fs2004 and I'm facing the same problem like Richard Ludowise and Luis Fιliz-Tirado fixes with their modified terrain.cfg for FsX.Does anyone know how to fix this problem for Fs2004?RegardsNick
