Hi to all.As all of you know, what captain sim did to the 757 was a shame. I think that they spend 2 years on the visual model (its mind blowing!, just look at the default American repaint) and 1 week with the panel.I try to find a merge with the level-d panel, and cant find anything, so i did my own merge.After a week of testing i think its in good mod. I put parts of the default captain sim's panel (Animations panel, Cargo loader, yoke, Icons panel) into the leveld panel, so i can enjoy some of the eye-candy features of the captainsim while at the same time using the amazing level-d panel.i also leave the captainsim 757 vc untouch, so it has all the gauges. Recently after the inauguration bit, I had the urge to go back to Air Force One as a bird selection and fly some of the routes of the Presidents, past and present. This required a hunt in my archives and a reinstallation of my MelJet/Repainted 747-400's.My panel for these birds is the old Tony D'ambrosio contribution with the RealCRT gauges that originated several FS versions ago (FS98 I think). I also used a version of Tony's gauges in the 737's and other Twin Engine Commercials back when we had a few of those as well. Hi All: It takes my computer over 5 minutes to load FS9. (I now have a piano type keyboard next to my computer and am learning how to play it while waiting). :( OK, I probably have too many aircraft and paints and should cut back but I always worry that I'll take out something used by another plane. Looking at my FS9 folder, I find there are 23 scenery cfg files of various types. A new one every time I changed something. eg: Scenery_cfg_before_CH2Beaver_was_installed.cfg. Several after various changes to the AES cfg files. Some of these appear to be usable ie: They have the little blue notebook icon. Others are text files. eg: Scenery_cfg-before_Cloud9_Amste…

I posted this issue under my privious problem, but perhaps I need to post it again under it's own seperate issue.I have the CIVA INS downloaded to the Flight One 727. However, the only place I can view the control display unit for both INS systems is in the VC. No panel in the 2D cockpit has them. Is there any way I can get them into the 2D cocpit, perhaps with the wx radar since that is where they are located in the VC?Any help would be appreciated.Art

Just did a fresh install of Vista 64 SP1 and then clean installed FS9 + FS9.1 plus Wilco 737PIC, PMDG 737 & 747, ATRand Level-D.After disabling the annoying UAC and Windows Defender I have to say that I am very impressed with the overall performance and graphics improvement. However I have a couple of questions FS9 related.After installing the PSS777 & PSS757 when entering the flightdeck all the fonts seem to be missing fromthe gauges. Do I need to mod the FS9.exe with the editor like I did when setting the 3Gb switch mod on XP?Any advice much appreciated.Regards

Hi,I have recently installed AES with working credits for my airports. For some reason, when I load FS9, the jetways at Madrid 2008 disappear and I do not know why? What possible reason could there be for this to happen?Also, is there someway to fix this?I really would like to use AES :( !

Bought a new computer and trying to figure out how to install downloaded payware airports, aircraft, etc. The file transfer program I am using won't transfer the exe. programs to the new computer. What is the easiest way to do this? Could I burn the exe. to a CD and then install in the new computer or is there something even better? Thanks for any help.

Hi all, just wondering if anyone out there can help me! :( Am having problem with fs9 on loading up! When i set up a flight, i click on fly now and and loads, it just cuts off and windows returns to restarts. PLEASE HELP!!! :(

Hi,What about fps & performance in good old FS9 with multiple simultaneous addons? I'm planning a 600eur move from athlon 3500+, 6800gt, 1gb ram, to an e8500, 9800gt, 2gb ram. Although heavy tweaking (but without O/C), could I expect going from 8.5 fps (all sliders up, ultimate traffic 100%, leveld767, aerosoft madrid) to at least 25-30 fps? or more? Approaching in slide shows is not funny, and how to make sure I won't barely reach 15 fps in the heaviest environments?And as from what I read, I'm waiting until 2015 before I will run FSX all inclusive.Quentin

I downloaded and installed the CIVA INS from AVSIM ((ins4df727v2.51.zip). The readme file stated "package includes the excellent freeware IVSI embedded TCAS & Transponder by I.L. Hetherington in ALL non-EFIS variants, both 2D and virtual cockpit!" However I cannot get the TCAS to work. I have the TCAS active on the radio panel but no traffic indications, even off-line with a ton of AI traffic.Any ideas?Thanks!Art

Excellent lighting, objects (both at the airport and in the approach path over the city), and seasonal textures. Can't remember any winter textures as good as the ones around the runways and apron. Hello to you flight sim loversI was wondering about real weather downloads and dead places.For example: I download real weather from MS for Earkson Air Base in the Aleutian islands, one of the worst weather spots on the globe and it is clear weather all the time.Also, another place I noticed the weather go dead and completely calm was on a flight that took me way out in the Gulf of Mexico.Is it because of no weather reporting stations for certain remote areas.?On that above mentioned Gulf of Mexico flight, as soon as I got near land, (maybe within 50 miles or so) all my real WX came back (head wind, altimeter setting, etc) in flight.If this has been covered before in anot…

is there a way , or a tool out there that will allow someone to track down a suspect .bgl file that they may think might be currupt? I have a comercial scerenery mesh product and i think that one of the bgl flies is crashing the simulator when it tries to load a flight that one would set up in the create a flight mode. I was thinking it could be easier if there was suh a thing, vs going through all 47 files by hand.Thanks

I've just bought an NEC 24 WMGX widescreen monitor at great cost. It has digital and analogue inputs. I run FS9 in XP Pro with a 7800GTX which has two digital (DVI-I) outputs. I run the two monitors in dual view - the NEC as primary, the CRT for FSNav, ATC, GPS etc.When I use an analogue input into the monitor I can set the NEC primary display to 1600 x 1200 and the CRT to 1280 x 1024. This gives a good wide cockpit 2D view on the main monitor with easily readable gauges etc on the secondary. In contrast, when I use a digital input into the NEC widescreen the highest resolution I can get is 1024 x 768. This produces a horrible, grainy, elongated image. I have tried ev…

Apologies if this has been answered in other posts although I could not find a definitive solution. How do people fly IFR whilst using SIDs and STARs without ATC vectoring you away from the published approaches and departures. I have found that you can retune to the next ATC station and just not make contact to avoid losing IFR following. However, whenabouts should I resume ATC communication to get landing clearance without being vectored around? Should this be when established and on final approach or earlier? Thanks!

I recently had my main 220 Gb HD reformatted by a friend. After the reformat he reduced the number of Partitions from 3 to 2; he renamed them 'C' Partition and 'E' Partition.'C' Drive was intended for Fs9 and General. 'E' Partition to be used for Downloads and Storeage.FS 2004 was installed without any problems, and is fully functional. Then the bombshell! My 'guru' then told me that I could not, under any circumstances use any of the Backups, that I had committed to DVD's!! Because he had changed the Partition Idents. Fellow SimmersIn the process of obtaining better performance w/FS9 I've beefed up everything.AMD Core2 Processor 3.1Ghz, 3GB Ram ATI Radeon 3800 w/512 and 4Gig of Swap file on second hard drive.I remember reading here somewhere about moving scenery files to improve performance, but can't find it.My only other 3rd party programs running during FS9 are F2Crew and FsPassenger.I love my ATR72-500, but am determined to improve this performance delimma.ThanksJerry

I'm noticing on my various installed airports, if I'm taxying with the external spot view, the ground at the bottom of the screen is constantly flickering.. like the default ground keeps flashing through the installed airport ground.Tried a few. Freeware, Simflyers, Aerosoft. All seem to do it the same.Apart from a few add-on airports I have FS Global 2005 installed.Any ideas on whats causing this??

I have fs2004+traffic 2005 + british airports Eastern england. After a complete reinstall i noticed that landing a/c were landing ok but departing traffic took off on the grass and taxing a/c were not on taxi ways.Why landing a/c ok but not departing a/c.?????????????Not being a computer tec but i had a go at solving my problem. What is the trick to get antialiasing to work properly in FS9? On my new system based on an E8600 cpu, Asus P5Q-E mb and a 9800GT (factory OC) video card and 4Gig ram I can only get AA to work in full screen mode and then only if I enable it in game. I can't get AA to work any other way - not in windowed mode and not by enabling it through through nhancer or the nvidia control panel. I have tried the 175.31 drivers and the 181.20 drivers a get the same hassle. Also the same with a fresh FS9 install and in winXP and Vista64. This is a major frustration as I use a dual monitor setup and need FS9 in windowed mode for this to work properly. Am I missing something obvious…

I installled the Aeroworx B200 King Air v2.0.1. It's great addition to my hangar, but the ADI in the Analog panels and the the torque meters in both analog and digital panels are inop. I reinstalled but that had no effect. Any sugggestions? Thanks.

i have just bought de ultimate water fx effects for fs9 and for them to work i have to have the water effects slider to high which is no t a porblem because i have a good machine and everything else works fine at the max....well when i move the slider to high and i put ok...its just go baksto low..anyonne please ghelp im frreaking outtt
