Over the last 2 nights I have flown between between KRDU and SBGL, based off of US Airways flights they have applied for. Even though their flight will go out of KCLT, the distance between the two (CLT and RDU) is minminal. Anyway, based on what US Airways has posted on their web site for proposed times, on the trip down I was two hours late and on the way home I was 2 hours early. The times they have posted on their website are as follows:CLT-SBGL 22:30-9:00(+1) - I landed at 11aSBGL-CLT 21:05-6:00 - I landed at 4aIs this a function of on long flights that FS has a hard time keeping time? I have gone to Europe recently from the US and had no time issues.Any ideas?Thanks

Hi All !Just wondering if any kind soul out there can help me. I have successfully merged the Posky 777 with the PSS 777 panel (including VC gauges) using the merge here in the library and it all looks/works great!However, the aircraft cannot keep on the ILS during an automatic approach. It captures the localizer fine and begins the descent once the glideslope kicks in, but soon after it completely loses the glideslope and I have to manually take over. My landing speeds are correct and the plane is properly trimmed. This has happened on every appproach to any airport and I would love to be able to fix this.Any ideas ?Thanks in advanceJonny

I've just gottten back to my simming after being away for a while, and reloaded FS 2004 on a new computer. After flying a few legs, I rememberd how loose the autopilot was on th localizer capture. It wants to weave back and forth, and over shoots on less that a 30 degree intercept.Years ago, someone gave me a tweek to tighten up the localizer capture in FS-9. Unfortunately, I can't find the information, nor remember the change. However, I do believe the adjustment was in the FS9 config file. Anyone know a highly detailed panel for the 717? Freeware or payware, im not as concerned about exterior visuals as I am about the panel- fully functional/accurate overhead, glareshield panel, FMC, etc...I was very unimpressed with the vans co 717, many of the advertised featured were not included. I haven't flown FS9 since New Year's Day. I mainly fly in FSX now. Anyway, I fired up FS9 and got quite a suprise. There were red/pink streaks in the sky every 90 degrees culminating in a solid red color directly above my a/c. After take off, the ground and sky near the ground looked normal but the clouds. The clouds are YELLOW (see attachment). I updated my video drivers to the latest nVidea WHQL set and nothing changed. I've tried just about everything but it still looks like the scene from Sgt Pepper's Lonely Club Band Tour. Anyone have an idea here? FSX is normal, by the way. Hi there. I'm new to writing XML Gauges and I am having trouble with one. I don't know if I am trying to do the impossible, but the idea seems easy enough! I have an aircraft with a refuelling probe which toggles with the Water_Rudder. On start-up of FS9 with this aircraft, the model's default is to have the Probe extended. Getting tired of having to retract it (either with Shift+W or with a mouse-click on a Panel Gauge I have written) before each take off, I thought I would write a "monitor" gauge that would constantly check the Probe's status and the aircraft's status (eg alt & airspeed lets say) and retract it if neccessary. After my trial and setup of the program, here are my findings, and I thought they might be of use or interest to someone else.Please know that this is not meant to bad mouth Autostart in any fashion. Hi all,I'm trying to locate a website that will give me detailed information about where airlines park at a particular gate at all airports. I've located a couple of sites but they do not give detailed information about where or what gate each airline parks. The ones I found would say, for example: "Concourse A has gates A-2 through A-32 and serves Delta, Jet Blue, Continental, and US Air." That does not tell me which gate a particular airline parks. If 30 gates are served by 4 airlines, there's no way to determine which gate the airline is serving by the statement above. Is it not true that Delta, Jet Blue, Continental, and US Air would just park at any gate just because…

Hi all! :( I use Rob Barendregt's Carrier Operation Package V2.0 (rcbco-20.zip here in the library) with AerialFoundry's F/A-18 Hornet.In order to be able to have different settings for each plane I didn't copy the rcbco-20 gauges in the FS9 main gauges folder but in the panel folder of every single aircraft using rcbco-20. Everything but one thing is working perfectly.In the sim the carrier selection gauge doesn't find the 'dsd_arrester_zones.ini' and 'dsd_catapult_zones.ini' files and I get an error message like 'No Carrier selected'. I tried to click on the arrows to change the selection but nothing helps. I also made no changes to both .ini files. :( I suppose the c…

I have a modest spec PC,AMD Athlon X2 Dual 50002Gb Ram 512 video etcGet fantastic frame rates, with add on sceneries, detailed user and AI a/c but as soon as I switch to detailed cloud, BANG frame rates can literally half themselves. I have purchased Active Sky 6.5 and changedthe texture's on the cloud bitmap's to 128x128, this helps a little, but as soon as there is any real cloud 'density' I loose all flyability because of the frames...Any idea's Could my G-Force 8600 just not be up to some of the rendering?It's a shame because the simple clouds in fs2004 just dont cut it and are pretty dull, but the detailed ones (especially with AS6) are really really realistic

As some of you guys may have already helped me in my previous posts about my display problem, I guess its time to come to the pointon investing my money into some things that may just take care of this problem completely. Right now, I've had vista for about 6 months or so, and it has been okay. THe main reason I use this computer, is directly for Flight Simulator 2004, and Flight Simulator 2004 only. I know my specs are a bit cheap, but believe it or not, I only use my CPU for FS2004, along with some sceneries from Fly Tampa, FS Dream team, and aircraft from PMDG Simulations, Level-D, all these big names! I discovered a product that simulates PAR approaches called Real PAR by SkyTalkTeam. I'm curious to know if anyone can give a thumbs-up or thumbs-down to this product. The only product I know of that simulates this type of approach is the Aviano AB product that comes with GCA ground controlled approach. It also appears that this Real PAR has not been around that long but I cannot determine if it is compatible with FSX or not.Keith

Hi Everyone. ( Firstly sorry the hogging the Forums) When I am flying on medium/long haul trips, I find it impossible to constantly remain behind the computer for the required three/four hours. I generally climb to my cruising level whilst interacting with FS9's ATC (quite often ignoring their requests to increase altitude or change direction) as I try follow the SIDS to the letter so to speak. I then hit the autopilot and just to remind myself I am not a real pilot will tend to the garden, clean the car etc.Some hours later with chores done and in the descent, I re-establish communication with ATC who have long given up on me by hitting the nearest airport airport list …

Hi allI have a problem that I always had, but now I would like to know if there is any solution.I experince a dramatic drop in FPS in the area south west of Ezeiza Airport. Same thing happens with or without Addon scenery for the airport. To the north and east of the airport there are no problems. I wonder if there is some kind of bug with the textures. Its all contryside, so it should not be to "heavy". I have a good system and usually I have no FPS problems - except for this specific area.Any ideas to what it is or what to doComments/ideas very appreciatetthansk

I am unable to download from the file FS 9 file library 03/01/09 1630EST. Either from the main page of new files or by going to forums and new files. It will go to the file library and download page but then just sets there. It appears that everything is working until I try to download the file. This has been going on for me since ~ 0500 03/01/09 EST.Thanks, Lynn

The picture on the left, is what normally my flight simulator looks like when I start it up. (It looks sort of dark ey?)
