Of all the glitches, ctd's, etc that FS has to offer this is the one that has turned my off flight sim for a long time. I am just slowly getting back into it but I am being reminded why I stopped.This isn't a system specific problem since my last system, which was in every way different than my current system, gave me the same problems.I use 4 monitors. 2 vid cards (8800 Ultra and 7800 GTX) in which each vid card controls 2 monitors. When I use FS I start in whatever airport I intend to fly out of, pick the airplane I wish to fly, then hit ALT-ENTER to enter windowed mode. I bring up the overhead panel, move it to monitor 1. I downloaded updated WoAI airline packages. Do I need to remove the previous version before installing? Example: I have British Airways Winter 2007 installed and I want to install British Airways Winter 2008.Michael

Hi.Has anyone ever changed the colour of the panel for the B747-400 do you know.I love this aircraft, but the Brown is just horrible, and I wondered if anyone has ever managed to change it for something else.Just a thought.Thanks.

Hi,I sometimes fly free FDS T-38 Talon and I find it really cool. However, as I want to fly in VOR to VOR scheme, the navigation equipment of this aircraft seems to be not precise enough, i.e. every single click on hdg or crs knob results in 5 degree jump and the flight precision is far from being good. When the plane is on the ground or one flies it slow (below 200 kts) those knobs allow me to turn the left or right with a gradience of only 1 degree but when it gets faster, 5 degree jump returns.Is such situation normal in training jet planes? Or maybe should I correct the nav gauge with FS Panel Studio? Of course if it is possible to correct it and such correction makes…

Hello,Often I find myself poking around "Fuel and Payload" in FS9 menu, to calculate ZFW, Fuel, usual numbers needed for many FMCs. Is there a program which can read those on the fly, when the aircraft has already been loaded. Something like universal load display or so... shoot some ideas please! :)Thanks!

Hi folks,A true challenge for the AI die-hards over here :( I have been building this AFCAD for Balad Southeast (OR0N) and added a lot of AI traffic. Now I have this weird problem:Sometimes the AI aircraft perform a correct approach, but dissapear after they slowed down on the runway. I know there are obvious reasons for that, like no hold short nodes or insufficient parking spots. Well.. all obvious things seem to be ok. I've checked hold short nodes (and distance to the runway), normal nodes in proximity, there's plenty of parking space with correct designator and range (all aircraft show up on the right spots before departure). For some reason it seems my yellow taxi-way markings or texture is gone since today. Don't know how.It's universal to all of the airports...so it got to be a texture file.Does anyone know where the texture to look for or replace to fix this problem?Right now it just shows white blocks and lines just as in the screenshot.This is at TNCA:

Hello there,I know Altair Virtual Airline had a flight data recorder type system for use when completeing the trial flight, however, after searching all over the place (both here and on flightsim.com), I have been unable to find what I'm looking for. Basically, what I need is a utility that will record the aircraft's heading, altitude, etc. for the same pupose Altair uses it for. Hello AllOn a flt last night HECA-LTBA i was requested by ATC to descend to x and expect vectors ILS rwy 27 circle to land rwy 9.Now I have come across these circle to land apps before but rarely, it seems that 98 percent of FS apps are ILS or visual.I know what is required ie I approached as normal ILS 27 but carried on that course obviously not landing 27 but preparing to circle entering right traffic to land rwy9.I have been doing 'normal' ILS apps for years so i am no novice,but the one thing I have yet to do is a backcourse approach and my question is this.....Is this circle to land approach something to do with a backcourse approach?I did have a fiddle with the ba…

Hello,when FS9 ATC tells me to "climb on FL120, expecting FLXXX" ATC is too late to give me permission to go on climbing to the next given Flightlevel. FS9 ATC is verly late. It gives you permission only 300ft before reaching the prevoius given FL to climb to the next one.Example:I wanna climb to FL310. ATC tells me that I have to clim to 8000ft, exopecting further climb. But permission to climb above 8000ft comes as late as 7700ft, that too late for a jet.Any chance to chnage a file that is responsible for this value of 300ft?

For some reason, this flightplan (below, created by FSNav) won't load into FS9. Can anyone see why? Is it something to do with the fact that it crosses over the North Pole? Howdy,I occasionally run into the problem of being unable to re-link my throttles all together. It usually happens while taxiing high-fidelity taildraggers, b/c ya gotta use differential engine thrust to turn those babies, so I hit E1 (or E2) to get just one engine, then swap engines to stop the tight turn. Then the problem occurs - can't get them both linked back together so I can go back to my joystick throttle. Once upon a time, the little trick of hitting the keys for E, 1, and 2 all simultaneously would do it -- however, my PC has gotten too fast! Now, nothing fixes it but to reload the aircraft.Well, someone has authored a little program that slows down the timings…

Recently, I've been getting a "Creation Failed, Check if sound file is available with my Carriers just as I'm landing. I have arrcab 2.5 and 2.6 with Carriers 2006 Flightdecks 4 and 5, and Alphasim's Enterprise Big E. Has anyone run across this before? Help!Thanks Muchmking5155

Where are some good models of old learjets? I am talking the ones with the tip tanks. Also are there any good sound files for small turbojet engines? These files can be for FS2004 or FSX.

Here's my scenario:I am approaching KSFO 28 R in a Land 3 autoland. I have my holding pattern programmed in the FMC. Now, according to the Level D 767 Angle of Attack DVD, the GA mode is automatically armed when flaps 1 is selected - when the G/S is intercepted. However, on my scenario, when I select flaps 1, there is no indication that G/A is armed. Also, in my scenario, after I have selected flaps 1 and pressed the G/A mode does not commend the AFDS autothrottle into a 2000 fpm climb (it's more like a 200 fpm climb).So, in my given scenario, how to I perform a correct autoland (using the autopilot commands).Thanks,RH
