Hi.I was wondering if anyone had heard anything anywhere about the Alphasim C17 Globemaster at all.The last I heard was that they were checking and testing the gauges etc, but this was ages ago.Thanks.

Hi there all,Recently cannot get ATC to assign takeoff from EGCC on RWY 23L. Keeps assigning 5L. Have recently d/l a new AFCAD file - have checked that correct boxes are ticked for t/off and landing. I have tried manipulating the wind directions within weather to see if that would change the assignment but to no avail.Also run with AS 6.5Can anyone think what else could be wrong.Thanks,Al.

There is a site that Iused to have in my favorites that showed archived timetables from the past for Braniif, National, Pan Am, Eastern, etc but can't find it now to save my neck. I can find sites that show images of the outer cover of the old timetables, but not the schedules themselves. I'm primarily looking for National Airlines and Eastern Airlines of the 70's and 80's. Anyone know which site I'm talking about?Thanks

Hi allI think I am getting to old and don't know hot to get STARS into the PMDG 737 NG FMC.I get my flight plan in and routes but getting things right with the STARS is a probAt the departure page if I go to the departure the airport is there but how do I get an star in and also an approach.Do I need to download STARS? and if so where can I get them.I would be thankful for all suggestions. i want to master this but as I said at the top maybe I am getting to old.Thx AllIan

It doesn't happen all the time, just once in a while. Sometimes when I fly my Flight 1 Piper Meridian at the same altitude for an extended period of time, the outside aircraft view keeps creeping closer and closer until the wing begins to disappear underneath my feet. I have to keep pressing the minus key until it runs out of travel. Eventually to the point of looking through a fish eye lens and the view will not recover.Anyone else experience this too? It happens in other aircraft as well but it appears to be more pronounced in the Meridian.Mark

Hi all ,l am running fs9 under Vista(presently) , and trying to include a free vertical take off in my aircraft , but so far whichever vertical take off aircraft l have downloaded andinstalled , once l select it , the program collapses trying to load "objects" and restarts without running the selected aircraft .Can someone help pls .Thanks in advance

Hello Simmers,Sofar I managed to let a floatplane land on water and let it taxi to a parking spot.T he problem is to let it start on water. As soon as it is time to start, the plane disappears.The AFCAD manual says:

Hi All,I have just reinstalled FS9 and some of my add ons such as Wilco 737 and PMDG. Configuring for flight (FMS etc) is no problem and everything interacts as it should. Sometime between the take off roll or in flight the engines cut out for no reason and the AP disconnects. Tried Wilco and PMDG 737's and makes no difference. Tried reinstalling FSUIP and Aerosoft products also no difference. Has anybody else experienced this and if so what was the solution. Thanks in advance.

Is it possible to add Rnav 4 sided stars waypoints to the GPS ? If so, where would be a database to do that?Paul

Guys,The question is about a possible setting for the 2D cockpit view in fs9. We all know we can either press SHIFT+ENTER or SHIFT+BACKSPACE to move the viewpoint up or down. For some reason, it works smooth on a fresh install,after some addons aircrafts, pressing SHIFT+ENTER makes big steps, so that it's not possible to adjust the viewpoint as I would like to. I've been browsing the fs9.cfg in search of that value to be changed to default without any luck.I know about the PAN_IN_COCKPIT_MODE entry and it could have been useful, but it causes the PMDG MD11 to CTD for me, so I cant use this.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Rgds

I'm just using the stock FS9 Cessna 172. Flights are great, except when I'm right above the numbers, chop the throttle and flare to a full stall landing...all I can see is instrument panel and sky for 10 seconds as I'm slowing down and pulling the nose up. I'm a private pilot so I'm just trying to duplicate my real world technique. I do have trackIR so I can look to the sides, but that doesn't help holding centerline. What's the trick? Only thing I can think of is to quick switch to a view without a panel, but that's not very realistic. Any tips?

After doing all of Nick N's tweaks for the OS and FS9 and nhancer I have my system running pretty good (well for a 4year old P4 2.4 ghz Gateway E4100 machine can).4 GB memory (3.3 GB recognized by Win XP 32bit) - Nvidia Geforce 7600GS 512 mb video cardIn chase (outside) view I can get up to 30 fps (locked at 30) flying around and at regular sized airports. Some larger ones and payware ones it will drop as one would expect but not terribly low.My only problem now seems to be in cockpit view (2d) that I can get 30fps in outside view but switch to 2d cockpit view and my fps is almost always below 10.This holds true for any downloaded aircraft from avsim etc, payware aircraf…

Hi all!I realize much has been said about stutters and I understand well what they are and how to avoid them. But in my own case I'm simply out of ideas and several hours of web searching brought no result.As the topic name suggest, I've got stutters but ONLY when in windowed mode. They come up in very stable period. About every 4 secs the simulation freezes for quarter of a second. Any aircraft, any place on Earth. Full screen mode runs very smooth. If any would have any idea why this could happen, please help me out.I've got laptop, Core2Duo T7200, 2GB RAM. On the secondary video I've got TH2G providing 3 external views covering about 210

Sence i bought Cloud 9 Amsterdam version 1.04, the latest one, i was having some MAJOR problem with elevation/terrain, call it whatever you like. So, i wrote about the problem on their forum, and they keep telling me that everything is just fine and that is me who have problem, because i probably have or had NL2000 or Germany Scenery 3 from Aerosoft.Now, i don't have ANY of these two installed! I NEVER have them installed, a matter of fact. So i told tham that thing again, same story again. how do you tweak the traffic file (i have UT and some world of ai) - so that all EAST-WEST fly on even altitudes (FL340,360,380, etc), and WEST-EAST traffic fly on odd altitudes (FL330,350,370,etc)..?

Well i have another problem...Approaching Chicago on ILS, the Wilco A320 altitude hold didn't disengage when it was supposed to... so I had to fly it manual the rest of the way.. still landed pretty good but still i'd rather have had the ILS... This wasn't the first time it has happened and I don't know why it never disengages.. can anyone help?

Hi,My 737=400 "Friendly" panel is not so friendly when it comes to turning on the nav lights...there doesn't seem to be an on/off "switch" for them...that would be ok...but I also can't figure out what the key assignment is either...help me...please?Regards,Bob

I can't believe that I've been using FlyTampa's KMIA for as many years as I have without an update. It's getting kind of monotonous looking at the same construction every time that I'm at the airport and would like a change.Any recommendations...or does someone have an update to a more modern verison of FlyTampa KMIA?Mark

Recently a problem has developed with the Legacy 600 that I didn't have before. I've tried everything I know of to correct it. Maybe the AVSIM gurus have the answer.I am not able to get the thrust levers even in position nor in power settings when putting them into idle position. Number run only moves to 31% while #2 moves to 25%. I have two Saitek throttle units that worked the throttles perfectly before, assignments in FSUIPC along with calibration. I've tried reassigning levers and calibrating. I erased the profile in the FSUIPC.ini file and started over. I even downloaded the newest FSUIPC with the sync of the levers option and still no success. :( I'm not really sur…

Hello to all,I ran into a problem when I tried to download some scenarys. When I clicked on "save" in the download box, it shut down my Internet Explorer. It seems to do that with certain sites (very few) and not with others. The problem persists. Does anyone know what the cause might be? It must be me, but I can't think what it could be.
