hello, Im planning a flight from KCHO to KPIT, I want to download the weather through activesky, however when i will be conducting my flight i will not be connected to the internet as my fs hardware is in the basment and i bring my laptop down there to fly but there is no internet available there. I was just wondering if I submit a new route and enter KCHO to KPIT and then save the weather through active sky, will it save the weahter at departure airport and also arrival airport to load when i am ready for takeoff???Thanks Gerry

If I want to plan out a flight, I like to list all the pertinant frequencies I will need on a flight plan on my kneeboard. Is there a way to get all these in advance of a flight. Being a real pilot, I have all the charts and AFD to get these in real life, but the frequencies in FS9 don't seem to match real life charts. For example, what is the ATIS and Tower freq for KPHL?Also, if I use Vatsim, what frequencies are used there? Real life or FS9?Oh, to further clarify, I'm using the Saitek radio box to tune them in. That's why I don't just hit the ` symbol for a list of freq options.

hello all!@i want to do long flights with the dc-3 (default) and i just can't keep the alttitude i have to play with the pitch every 2 min..i want it to be vertical climb/descend like 0-5 [or 0-(-5)] feet per minute.any tips?is the dc-3 pilots back then did that?playing with the auto pilot every 2 min?thanks

I have recently noticed that the original autogen buildings have been replaced. They appear to be very small houses/cabins/huts and are spread all over the place. They do not line up anymore with cities/towns. I even find them in the middle of "farm" areas.I have no clue as to what might have caused this as I have not changed landclass or any other "basics". It must be some addon.Does anyone know the file on the original CDs which contains the autogen scenery? I have a print out of all file names and where they can be located. hey..i can have very nice graphic with the simulator but the broken lines annoys me very much..i could understand that i can use anti aliasing using the software nHancer but i am trying to use it and unsuccess:(would someone please explain how to use it or how to do it with other way...by the way i have something else..i have the ultimate weather addon and looking for better graphic. can i do something against it?thank you very much for helping!:D

I hear people speak of the .cfg file but I looked in mine and it was empty. Not sure if that's where I do it, but I'm trying to setup my typical mouse pics in FS9 so I don't have to choose them every time I start a new session. Items such as:- Weather - user defined- Aircraft - Flight1 add-on instead of default 172- Airport - Starting airpot KPHL, and starting location on rampAre these changeable or do I have to set them every time I enter FS9?What about in-flight pop-up window size and position for things such as GPS and over-head view?

I am a new member and would like to know if anyone knows whether or not I would be able to use a e-sky 0905a fms t/x to fly microsoft flight sim 2002. I am against using a typical pc joystick as they dont give a true feeling when flying a virtual plane, and cannot afford the hundreds of pounds it costs to purchase a proper yoke and pedals. Hi all,I was reading a few of the other threads regarding AI Traffic and it got me to thinking what others do to undermine, or cheat the less then perfect FS9 ATC and AI traffic actions. (AI smooth or similar programs help!)Here are a few of my tricks:For takeoffs at busy airports: Take KORD for example, when there are a bunch of arrivals and departures at the same runway, request takeoff clearance ASAP. As soon as an incoming plane crosses the runway threashold, line up and wait even if ATC doesnt tell you. It will force the other 87 aircraft in line to land, to go around, and clear you to takeoff as soon as the landing plane leaves the runway. This saves from havin…

In Ken Mitchell C-130 panel (www.flightsim.com > FS2004 Panels > C-130) when you go to feather the props, the engines fuel switches cut off and I am forced to restart engines all the time. Is this supposed to happen? If so, then how do I feather during flight descent? I even tried the assignment (Propeller (feather)).Is this supposed to happen on C-130 aircraft? I'm using one from RNZAF website. Search on google "New Zealand Airforce" > downloads etc etc etcPlease reply. Does this happen on the Captain Sim C-130?

Hi AllJust got this new computor,(see spec below) and have loaded FS9 and made adjustments to my system as recommended on the forums when using Vista. I have not loaded a single addon yet but on a test flight in the Cessna at KSEA I am only getting 12-15 FPS. I have a lot of addons to go on so this is worrying to say the least. Everthing went so well on my previous machine with XP, loads of addons and great FPS until it broke :( . Am I missing something here or is my new machine not as good as I thought it might be? FS9.1 is 'crashing' on a saved flight close to Seattle. Within 10 seconds of loading it the sim 'crashes' but unfortunately the error report cannot identify the file or event responsible.I'd heard of FileMon being helpful in these cases but it's no longer available. Process Monitor has now replaced it. I've installed it and have filtered for just FS9.1 events. I have a saved log which hopefully someone will help me with. I can't upload it unfortunately.Two entries that stands out are: -FAST IO DISALLOWED relating to a file in Username\Local Settings\Temp. BUFFER OVERFLOW with a Registry address shown.If, with someone's help, I can identify the files that are causing the p…

I have recently installed REP and when i try to run the program it says "unable to locate fs9" or something along those lines. It is installed in the c:\programfiles folder where it say it must be put, just wonderng if anyone knows what could be the problem or has run into this problem.Thanks Gerry

Lets take the JustFlight Duchess, Nice plane by all means, but when looking at the machine from the outside and then getting back "in" the VC cockpit, it takes some time to "read" the textures and become fully ok.Is there any way to fix that, tweaking someting etc?Best regardsPer
