Hi allI have just recently tried my hand at flight plan compiling since David "Opa" Marshall posted a few links in a previous post, when I wanted to change the number of flights in to a certain AP. Since then the bug has sort of taken over from most other stuff. My knowledge of real world airline operations and in particular at this moment in time, flight schedules is very limited, so..... to aid me in my quest to compile a real world airline flight plan, could someone explain what "Stops" in a schedule relates to.My first thoughts were that if for example, the schedule showed "No Stops" then does this mean that this would be a layover till the following day ? or a strai…

I've noticed that an increasing number of add-on scenery developers advise storing scenery files outside Fs9 / Fs 2K2, and creating a seperate add-on sceneryfolder on the hard drive.Can anybody tell me why this is and what the benefits [ if any ] are ?Thank you in anticipation.Stuart....UK

Good on you, folks.I've been playing around with Flight Unlimited 3 for a couple of years & just moved over to FS9 (new graphics card won't do old FU3, existing mobo probably won't do FSX). Gads! wot a difference. Ten times the detail and, bizarrely, a five-fold improvement in framerate too. I wuz so happi. Some months ago I had a big system crash, during the reinstall of programs I decided to miss out fs2004.

Since runway 12L/30R at MSP is closed in real life for repairs I decided go for the realism and close the runway with AFCAD in FS2004. Now I got AI traffic only landing on runway 12R/30L and I get 50 airplanes trying to land at once on a single runway. I wind up seeing AI planes disappear in midair and having to go around 5 times before I land. Is there a way to open up runway 17/35 for use of all times and sometimes runway 4/22. I also get a lot of traffic incursions on the ground where AI traffic will halt on the taxiway until its removed by FS. I have Blueprint's KMSP installed.

HiJust wanting some input on good payware, Panels or Aircraft 767, 747, 777, 737, A320 any links or positive feedback welcomed. I'm wanting to move away from the free ones and try some pay ones. :( :( CheersKazperNZL

First off I didnt know which forum section to put this in so if it is in the wrong forum section mods please move it. I was just curious on this program Called atc simulator2?I was just wondering if anyone has tried this program and what are your thoughts on it. I am very interrested in it but heard some pretty awful stuff about other atc simulations and havent really seen any subject that I can remember about ATC simulator2?So all in all what are your thoughts, Would you say it is worth the money or not?Thanks

Hi everybodyJust been allowed to upgrade my PC (only for FS9, God bless it), I've bought an E8400 with 2GB 800MHz ram and a 9800GT card. My FS9 runs all the usual addons (ASV6.5, FE, GEPro etc), I'm flying PMDG iron into major cities and would like sliders maxed. I'm guessing this new machine will run well, but I can't find any direct comments on this configuation.Soooo, how do you think she'll go with FS9? Apologies if this should have been in the hardware forum, but since I only run FS9 and FSX seems to be dominant these days I thought I'd hear from us FS9 die-hards. :)Cheers, SLuggy

I've been away from Flight Simming for awhile. I tried to stay Current, but after the AVSIM file was hacked and trashed, I wandered to other things. I came back Today. Of course I had to retrieve my login name and password before I could begin. Looking at the newest downloads I see most of the new scenery is for FSX. I know we FX9 users fought long and hard to preserve the status quo. Has anything happened since I've been away to change our stick in the Mud stance? Old Bill :(

Hi. I'd be most grateful if someone could advise re. troubleshooting bad stuttering I sometimes get in FS9(.1). It is proving very hard to pin down what might be the cause. As I taxi along towards the runway (and it can be any aiport, with any aircraft), I get a fairly smooth ride for some seconds, with maybe 20fps, then for 3 or 4 seconds the frame rates drop, can be as low as 5fps, and I get stuttering. After a few seconds, back to fairly smooth taxiing and the frame rates go back up, but then again, after 5 more seconds or so, more stuttering and poor fps, then after a few seconds things are OK again. And so the cycle repeats... Even when frame rate show as good, say 2…

The title says it all, almost...Although I have been using FS9 for years with the same customised assignments on my AETI yoke 12 buttons, suddenly for reasons I cannot determine, each time I start FS9, default yoke assignments are loaded which have nothing to do at all with my original assignments. This is a very recent occurence and I cannot link it to any new product install or any change of hardware (none).I deleted my FS9 cfg file to rebuild it, to no avail. I uninstalled my yoke driver and reinstalled, no change! What is even stranger is that each time I start FS9, I go straight to the settings and assignment page, delete ALL assignments in the joystick column, close…

Hi all!I`ve got a really strange problem with my sim. I have a dedicated flightsim PC with XP on C-disk and FS2004 on D-disk with a lot of addons. In addition I have a Acronis image of that setup on an external disk (just in case scr.. up). I fly around with very high and smooth FPS (50-60) with slider locked at unlimited. I also do regular defrag using UD 2008.The problem I have is when I move the mouse (cursor comes visible) in 3d cockpit, the FPS drops and stutter occurs while the cursor is visible. When i dont touch it, it stays normal high and smooth. It occurs only in 3d cockpit with aircraft like wilco 737, pmdg 737 and 747. Not on small aircrafts or default ones. …

For years I have wanted to have a small monitor somewhere between 6-10 inches to "dock" my aircraft's GPS to. After years of looking for one I finally found what I was looking for at a company named, P.C. Connection. It was a small, 8 inch color LCD (analog) monitor and it is perfect ! It has it's own detachable stand so I just set it on top of my middle monitor. I fly with a 3, 26 inch monitor setup ( now 4 monitors). It is PERFECT for this purpose. I think my Fs2004 rig is finally complete. It is only $128 and is a beautiful little monitor. I have Mirage FMC installed on 2 a/c, all correct...don't worry about the installation process, I think I have that sorted. I can't put in anything in the FMC. For eg, start at KJFK: For the route page I try to place KJFK into DEP AIRPORT and ARR AIRPORT some other airport it just doesn't let me put anything into it. Not only that, I can't place anything! It just says "INVALID INPUT" when if it were some other FMC it would've been fine. And no. I don't wanna try vasFMC. So don't try to get me to try it...Cheers, please help. Where can I get "pw4077_soundset.zip" since it's not fully downloadable from avsim library. And, may I get a link for the original sound.dll module, torrents or anything. Everyone,I have been running FS9.0 ever since I loaded it onto my computer. I am also running the no-CD patch.I have recently become tired of seasonal CTDs. In addition, I would love to add some payware scenery which requires the FS9.1 version. I remember trying to upgrade a couple of times in the past with no success. I decided to give it another attempt. I am determined to overcome the difficulties that I previously experience.I downloaded the 9.1 patch this morning. I removed the FS9.exe (no-cd) from my FS9 main directory. I saved it to the desktop.I inserted the FS9.exe as found on Disk 1 of my original CDs into the main FS9 directory. I then inserted the fs9…

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this before (did not find it if they did) but I just downloaded and installed saab340_bepronw9.zip from the Premier Aircraft Design site.Not only is this aircraft beautiful to look at but for me it is a joy to fly and it comes complete with a very nice VC also. So, I just discovered something that has me a little puzzled.I have the Nvidia Control Panel options configured for FS9 to use it's settings instead of the FS9 application setting (this is how I've always understood is the better way) and I have the Anti-Aliasing check box unchecked in FS9 itself (again, this is how I've always understood is the better way). Can I use a 37 inch HDTV as a monitor for FS9?Is there any tradeoff or issues versus using a proper monitor?I am replacing the TV above and wondered if I could use it rather than "bin" it.

Hi,The aircraft as in the topic has fuel tank selector. One can switch it between the 1st and the 2nd one. Of course, no matter which one I choose, the engine works correctly, but the question is how should I change between them to perform like a real pilot? Should I let some fuel go from the one tank and then switch to another? How is it done in reality? I assume that it is impossible to consume fuel from both tanks an the same time.Thanks in advance for all answers.Regards,
