Sorry, me again! I’m having great fun getting to grips with FS9 now and it totally fits the job for me atm. I’ve updated my airports and some textures etc already from suggestions here and I have my first VFR disk of Scotland and the Orkneys etc arriving tomorrow courtesy of eBay. V. Excited!! So, my question: I’m deliberating spending money on ultimate terrain, which I think I would still be able to use if I upgraded my sim and pc later. But is there a better option? FS Earth Tiles looks interesting from what I’ve seen on YouTube etc. but I’m worried about the security issues and legalities of using such a thing. The .ini file setup scares the pants o…

Hi all, After a disastrous experience of Flightgesr, I recently installed FS9 on my old Dell laptop (until I get a new one it won’t easily run fsx) and OMG I’m loving it!! I'm now trying to sift through the masses of info here to make it the best it can be. I currently get around 40fps so I’m assuming my questions below may impact this...? My aim is (silly I know) tour the UK and then the world in a light aircraft (either Beechcraft SKA 300 or small jet). Anyway, my key questions are: Is FS Earth ok to use as scenery or will photographic packages be better for realism (eBay has a good selection of UK versions) or is there an alternative? Bes…

Yeah, I know, why? I’ve been using FlightGear but as I’m new to flying I’ve found it hard going, although I can fly a Skyhawk pretty well now lol. Anyway, I had X-Plane on my iPad, which is good but expensive for PC and as my PC is just a Dell Inspron i3 I didn’t think FSX would work well and most people still say that FS9 is just as good and stable. As I just want to fly on my own, Fs9 for £8 on Amazon seemed a good deal! So here I am! Hello. I'm hoping someone might be able to answer a question for me regarding the FS9 Flightplans.txt files. I noticed I wasn't getting as much traffic as I should be at a particular airport and started to investigate. During that I found something I never noticed before. It seems that with my various AI traffic files the actual airport location varies slightly between them. For example, my AA file shows "KMEM,N35* 2.54',W89* 58.59',341" and my Delta file shows "KMEM,N35* 2.60',W89* 58.59',338". That's just one example but other airlines show something different still. Is this a problem?

Hi all, I've searched hi and low including Google and Freeflow's forum and cannot find a resolution. I love Freeflow Florida scenery for FS9 but I have a weird problem. I have duplicate roads everywhere. More to the point: Everywhere I look I have UTUsa clouds in tandem with the Freeflow roads. Does anyone, anyone, have an answer to this??? Many thanks, Mitch

I have looked through most of the available scenery object libraries for EZ-Scenery and have been unable to find the following: Any good aircraft libraries/objects with up to date liveries, as well as general aviation objects...Any modern terminal objects, not just the generic FS2004 terminals...Any large aircraft hangars of modern design...If anyone out there has any ideas for me to try, I would really appreciate your suggestions...There must be some modern scenery design objects suitable for FS2004 and EZ-Scenery! Is there a program available that will convert standard FS2004 aircraft into .bgl objects that would be place-able with a scenery program such as EZ-Scenery? Thanks....

Hi there, On the Ultimate Traffic Classic i.e. 1 Forums. Dan Pecher, aka dpecher, posted some screenshots, of AI repaints he had recently done. For Ultimate Traffic 1, of Airlines which didn't have a repaint for a particular AI Aircraft, that could be found on the internet. He said he was going to upload them, here on Avsim.com and Flightsim.com. I can only find one of his repaints, for Phuket Air, for a NAMC YS-11 here on Avsim. If they are not on this Website, does anyone know, which Website he has uploaded the others to, if at all that is ? I asked on that forum a couple of months back, but have had no reply. Hi there, Does anyone know, anywhere on the Internet, or even old Websites on web.archive.org, where you can get obscure repaints for Airlines, in Ultimate Traffic 1 ? I have found and installed lots of the missing repaints in Ultimate Traffic 1, from the old Project AI Website, on Web.Archive.org, and some from this website, and www.flightsim.com, but many I still can't find, I am wondering if some of the Airlines, are not spelt correctly. For example, I can't find an AI Aircraft Repaint for a Boeing 747 for an Airline called Redair, repaints for Trans Atlantic Airlines, and for a B747 of an Airline called Thai Pacific Airlines. Hi, Recently purchased the Drzewiecki Design Miami City 2012 scenery package. Noticed on the DD forum there was/is a Port update, however this does not appear to be available any longer (following the link I get a 404 error). I have created a scenery with FSEarthtiles and now is the hardcore process The are i made is LGPZ for FS9 . First of all how can i correct the airport to be fitted with the photoreal scenery and then how can i allign the photoreal scenery to be fitted with the default scenery of FS9area?

I fly FS9 since 2004. I've never before seen snow in Europe at mid summer. Now I see snow at various places, and that is not Always, just at unexpected places and moments. See the picture below and that is an example of such a place

A tool to brighten the day for everyone in the FS9 community who feels plagued by the effort involved in converting DDS textures to bitmap format for use in FS9. Installing new AI traffic textures is not such an onerous task with this tool. Go over to the AIG forum where the tool and explanation is available at this thread. Hey! I'm almost desperately searching for a good working weather program, like Activesky. This latter stopped working ubder Windows 10. So I'm searching for a similar result program, that wordks well for FS9 under Windows 10. I've tested several ones, but none works completely well. Without a weather engine FS9, this is what I"m still flying on, is only half as nice as with a good working weather engine program. Who knows what I should do? Greetz Jive1 - Bemgium
