I've been sim flying and real world flying for a long time. Maybe too long! I was first lured from FS9 to FSX because of generally better graphics and slick promotions. I lost some neat aspects of AI which I liked in FS9, but overall, the vastly improved scenery and addon weather programs made the trade off worthwhile for me; albeit it was an expensive transition. I was lured to P3D by clever advertising when FSX was no longer under development. The story was that FSX was going nowhere, and by implication anyone who used it was going nowhere too! Will FS2004 run on Windows 10? It ran well on 8.1.

I've been playing around with editvoicepack, and I'm trying to get wind gusts announced in ATIS/ASOS and in takeoff/landing clearances. I see there's a <wind_add_gusts> and a <wind_add_gusts_no>, but can't seem to find a <wind_add_gusts_yes>.I suspect this may be why I have gotten winds, but not gusts to work. If it doesn't exist, is it possible to add it? What tokens would be needed?

Hi guys, I have a question about the AIA 737 Max. The ai planes that I use have 2 files. A lightmap and a texture-file. The AIA 737 Max uses three files and when I run the Texture-Doctor it gives me the warning that it has a incorrect texture. Can anyone explain what it is? The most Max traffic is fine but there is one AI-plane that shows up grey without textures. I dont understand why this is. I checked the name of the texture and it is correct. I hope you understand my question.

Hello, I am new concerning Flight Simulator 2004 or FlightSimulator 9. I wanted to use the virtual cockpit and installed the F1View.exe. My questions: 1. Do you need an addon for the cockpit or does it work with the standard cockpit in FS2004? I have a mouse with scroll wheel and if I click in the standard cockpit now with the right mouse button on Virtual Cockpit and then hold the scroll key and move the mouse then I still can not see the cockpit from the inside :-( Can you help me please. I have set my snap to panel view as I used to do in fsx, however unlike in fsx I have to hold the selected button down otherwise the view goes back to previous view when I release it, instead of staying on the panel view like it does in fsx. Can some one help with how to set up a snap to panel view so that when I release the button the view stays on the panel please? or I am missing something with the settings. Thanks M

Hello, all. I'm trying to help someone diagnose a problem on a Win 7 box and am looking for a little help. It seems all of a sudden when launching FS9 the process appears in the Task Manager but the program itself doesn't actually start. The first time. When trying to launch again then it starts and seems to run okay. If when launching initially, and nothing happens, you can end the process in the Task Manager and try to launch again and the same thing will happen. Nothing. All of my engine sounds, Jon's Aircraft Sounds have been forcibly removed from fspilotshop.com due to being acused of taking TSS Jet engine sounds and trying to sell them, and I have not done no such thing, Also no emails from TSS telling me that I had used their sounds. I do not even have any software from TSS that I could even use to do such a task. I have always respected other peoples property. I got my sounds from Airports and Aircraft Maintenance shops. I have a very close friend that is a mechanic at DIA and he is always there when I need sounds. I have spent the last 12 years perfecting my sounds into perfect stereo quality. Hi all, I'm trying to get in touch with 2x people who have made various edits to the FSX default 737-800 gauges in order to ask for permission to include their work in an upcoming freeware release of my own. I've not been able to get in touch with them through the details provided on their respective readme.txt files - the email bounced. Their names are Gary Davies and Csaba Saghi. I have tried the FSX forums with no luck but someone pointed out that Csaba was active in the FS2004 community and that it might be worth a shot reaching out in the FS2004 forums. Hi all, I'm having an issue that started perhaps a week or two ago. When starting FS9, my CPU usage spikes to 100%, and remains there even after I exit FS9. This affects performance within in the sim (framerates are lower than normal, etc). I've done no changes to my system (no new programs, added nothing to FS9 in terms of scenery, etc). I've removed the fs9 cfg file, and allowed FS9 to rebuild a fresh one from scratch, but no change. I've tried system restore to a time before the issue popped up, but no luck. Hi All I still use an old trackir 2 for FS9. I am using windows 7 32bit purely so I can use this device. I am contemplating buying a used PC which will have win 7 64bit. I have read that you can get a 64 bit driver for trackir 2 and the file should be TrackIR_4.1.028.Final.exe. This is no longer on the trackir website if by any magic at all anyone here has this file would they please be kind and share it. Also I understand I need the software for track ir 3 so again if anyone has that I would be immensely grateful.

Ok, I'm very new to FsEarthTiles but I have been looking at the various youtube tutorials. I selected an area around KPHX to download but I always get this result once I have added the folder to the scenery library. Any ideas? Tried using different download resolutions, and different area snaps. Using the latest Google Maps entry from the .ini that was posted on here. I will apologise now for what is probably going to be a silly mistake somewhere on my behalf. Hello Everyone, I have the PMDG B747-400 (for MS2004) that I love to fly. However, I have seen that there is an expansion pack to update the Queen of the Skies aircraft to a -800. Guys. Just got FS9, GE Pro 2, UT, FS9 patch etc. Soon I'll begin rolling over the airplanes and scenery. So question. On airport scenery like Imaginesim and FSDreamteam. Do I need to deactivate them on old computer and reactivate? Or can I just re-install on the new and activate with my old software keys? thanks.
