Hi folks! I recently came across Reshade (http://reshade.me) and imo it works great with FS9. It's basically is a collection of post-processing shaders. You'll need to configure your AA a little diffently though and it'll only work in full screen mode. First, you have to turn AA ON inside FS9, that's different to what we're used to. Then, set your Nvidia Inspector profile to "Enhance the Application Setting". With my GTX970 I find 16xS (Antialiasing Setting) and 8xSupersampling (Antialiasing - Transparency Supersampling) to work best. No stutters in heavy clouds either. Hello everyone, I may be mad or too old on the flight sim area... I think I found an interesting trick but I may be completely wrong here. If so, please let me know. The idea came from thinking about the old versions of flight sim. For those who knew FS5.0 or even FS98, the coulds were modeled as piles of big white cubes. It was horrible but it was realstic in a way because they were volumes, so when you entered into a cloud, you could see nothing outside except the white of the clouds. When the textured clouds appeared (in FS2002 I think), the cloud rendering was much nicer but I never had this feeling of volumic clouds again, it was impossible to fly into…

would anyone know in which line of the aircraft.cfg I need to change to decrease the response time of the aircraft engine? example; I give full power and about 2 seconds later the engine accelerates, this problem is only with an aircraft. Thankful!

Today i purchased Pilots FSGRW for fs9. After installing the prerequisite files and installing the program i discovered i had no AI traffic in the sim. All aircraft folders are where they should be, all bgl files are where they should be. I have restarted my computer, uninstalled FSGRW and still no AI traffic.Am i going to have to uninstall all WOAI and start again, not looking forward to that exercise. Hi guys, I found a new site for ai traffic repaints. Kyle Meeks is a known person but he rcently opened his own website to post fresh repaints. Hello I have a couple of AFCAD's with xwind runways. On KLAS the ai aircraft are being assigned to the xwind runways (10m long runways). I have looked at the runway list and they have x next to them. Will any one be able to advise. I tried searching the forum and could not find anything. Many thanks

For anyone still running FS9, I notice that Dryzewiecki Design have released a Polish Airports package including no less than 19 of their FS9 airports for only €18 at SimMarket! If you have previously purchased at least one of a number of specified airports then you can get the package for just €6. I bought a few of these in my FS9 days and they generally were of pretty good quality and at less than €1 an airport they are a great opportunity to add most of the major airports in Poland to a setup. Mods I have not posted this in the Bargain Hunters Forum because, although it definitely seems like a bargain, this is not a sale price. Bill

Hello all. I'm having an nerving issue with Captain Keith's Adventure Bundle scenery in my FS9 which is version 9.1 btw. The island airports, airstrips and some buildings in Vol 1 are laying on top or in the ocean water. And some of the other airports in Vol 2 and Vol 3 that are in the mountains of Panama and Columbia are in a deep hole or totally in closed by a mountain wall. I understand that the mesh I'm using might have something to do with this problem so I unchecked my Panama mesh and South America mesh but nothing changed with these airports. So my question is at least with the airports in Vol 1 on water is this a vector issue? And how would I fix this or is Capta…

I went to download, some Freeware Airport Sceneries, from the website, beluxvacc.org. After reading Freeware Airport recomendations, on this Forum for Antwerp and Brussels South etc. But when I download them, it says the .zip file is corrupt, and or can't be opened or something like that. Do you have to be subscribed to the website, to be able to download them properly ? I have tried different methods, of downloading i.e save target as, open File etc, and the problem remains. Any help and info would be appreciated. Eddie

Hi all, just signed up and my first post. Been using fs2004 for a very long time now and completed lots of flights IFR flying VOR to VOR. I now would like to fly real world routes using airways and have found these airways using skyvector or similar programs but once inside fs2004 flight planner I can't see the airways that have been listed from sky vector to use? How comes within the flight planner not all airways are shown? Is it because the program is now very old? Any help in how to create a real world flight plan within fs2004 would be much appreciated.

I am running FS9 under Windows 10, after installing the patch. The program launches and runs as expected. However, the system will not recognize scenery files, whether add-on or original. When attempting to open scenery files (c:\Program Files (X86)\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\(Add-On Scenery) or (Scenery)) the folders show as empty. Apparently FS9 is not recognizing the files, even though they are present. What am I missing? Thanks for your help.

Does anyone still use the Glasair III? I was thinking of getting it - it's still being sold - but read in a review that the plane exterior is not showing in the VC view. Can someone please confirm? Thank you!

Hi there, I have looked for the above Utility Program on the web.archive.org website, and all links to this program, don't work when I try and click on them for the .zip File download. Is there a current FlightSim Website, that has this Program, available to download ? According to File descriptions on Avsim, it says it is excellent, and you can install all AI Aircraft textures, in just a few clicks. Which is what I would like to do, it is important to me, because I have downloaded 4000+ From Project AI from the web.archive.org, and would like to install them all quickly. The Original Project AI Texture Manager, only lets you install, one texture at a time…

I know this is old, but I just had success fixing FS9's flickering GPS and other flickering gauges. What worked for me and this Radeon R5 220 graphics card was to lock the frame rate to 60fps and the flickering ceased.

In a moment of weakness I recently purchased the FS9 version of FS Flying School. After using it a few times, I am wondering why. Perhaps I am not yet fully engaged with the features that it offers. As I respect the experience and knowledge of others on this forum, I am interested in the opinions about this add-on and maybe some advise about how to better utilize it.

Not a support request but a little bit of experience and what I've learnt of how to see AI in FS9. I have installed 14 AI airlines from Alpha-India Group. I also have installed 1gb worth of AI model base packs and liveries combined. I used AIFPv3 My sim is set to 15% traffic and see plenty of aircraft.. Start with a small airline because huge airlines require a bunch of models and liveries and can take all day if you're missing many! I'm almost halfway through writing up the Technical and Operational Procedures Manual and following that a tutorial flight from LIPZ to LOWI. In the mean time I thought to upload a teaser showing the new widescreen panel (it took all day to upload!). The upgrade now has some 700 gauges compared to the original 140! The cockpit enviroment has completely changed with the accompanying engine sounds as realistic as is possible.
