Something is up with my weather.....I use real world weather when I fly. I noticed that the weather is always the same at my airport and does not match the conditions. When down loaded it's always same wind light clouds and light rain coming or going. However I'm pretty sure it's correct at other airports that I fly to. I use the update every 15 min. Any help or clarification let me know. Thanks Scooter

Hi All, I hope I'm posting in the correct forum, if not forgive my newness. I have FS2004 and am using Traffic2005. So I try and create a database and compile to my default traffic folder and I get an error message and the compile stops... "Line 1421 (error location shown in red): <actual fault line displayed> The aircraft name is limited to 100 characters". In the past I've gone to my Traffic2005 folder in Flight Simulator 9 and opened the aircraft.txt folder and edited the offending 'Line 1421' or even deleted it. I haven't seen this mentioned in any simming forum yet, but the latest Windows 10 update has caused problems in fs9 use. The specific problem involves slower load times and delays between view changes and other screen rendering. I notice that the "spinning circle" will be displayed during view changes and aircraft changes. Also affected are the use of the functions in the top menu bar. Choosing Settings will trigger the "spinning circle" for a few seconds while the selected function tries to load. Overall the sim functions fine and frame rates are the same but game play is not as fluid because of the frequent delays. I have experience no game crashes because of the pr…

After an absense of several years, i decided to get back into Flight Simulatiion...I pulled out my trusty copy of FS2004 and begin installing...All went well until Disc 4...When I examined it, I found many scratches, dings, etc...It just will not run...I have cleaned it and tried a couple of different HD drives...No luck...Is an image of Disc 4 available anywhere? (I don't want to do anything illegal)...Can one still buy a virgin copy of FS2004 anywhere without getting robbed? Any advice is appreciated!

Hi all, When i open FS9 normally some of my newly installed aircraft and scenery's are missing but when i open as administrator they are there but then others are missing that where there in normal mode. Any ideas??

hi, because my hardware pc im back to fs2004 to fly boeing in high fps is it possible to switch to cam sets like ezdok in fsx? i have allways to mouve inside vc .f.exp from main to overhead

FS2004 pour l'Alphajet de la Patrouille de France. I've added the above to a friend's FS9 but it's a dark cockpit job. I showed him how to start engines, & turn the power on, etc, but when he exits it, all his other aircraft are dead. I removed it from the aircraft folder, & they all appear powered with running engines, which is what he wants. Can anyone tell me how to exit this nice alpha jet with the power on so it can be left in the folder without effecting the other aircraft with dead cockpits? I can find no helpful tutorial in English.

To All My FS9 Friends, this is probably my last post on this forum. I recently installed the latest update to Windows 10. It has been an absolute disaster and led to massive problems with corrupted files in both FSX-SE and FS9. I've been advised that my only realistic solution is a complete reinstall of Windows and all of my programs. Over the past couple of years I have drifted away from FS9 to FSX-SE and only very occasionally use FS9. To invest the hundreds of hours I would need to reinstall and tweak FS9 back to something like the level I had is just not worth it. I always knew there would come a time when I would finally say goodbye to the simulator that has occ…

Does anyone have any ideas? I only have an area around my aircraft that appears normal and then the rest goes to mush. This has appeared out of nowhere globally. I have recently installed airports. To troubleshoot the problem I have replaced every folder and file in my FS installation with the default FS folders and files. No custom files were left in there at all. I additionally ran a default FS9.cfg, removed all nVidia graphics card settings for FS9 and the problem persisted. Does not appear to be any hardware issues on my PC. Got me stumped!

I know that military flying in FS isn't everyone's thing, but if you have the slightest interest in seeing some astonishing new AI models, check out the activity at MAIW. They remain a major supporter of FS9 and have now released a huge set of packages featuring the F-35 Lightning II - all versions of it, land and sea based with liveries for all of the aircraft purchased or ordered so far by 8 different nations. This screen-shot says it all. I'm running Holger's freeware Glacier Bay 2 and I've reinstalled it. The priority in the Scenery library is correct Alaska Glacier Bay scenery above landscape. I'd be grateful for advice on how to fix this. Thanks! P.S. Windows 7 x64.

Hi there, I downloaded From www.web.archive.org 4652 Repaints for old Project AI AI Aircraft Models. And I want to install them all in one go. But the PAI Texture Manager Utility, only seems to let you install one .zip File at a time. Doing 4652, one at a time will take me ages to do hours potentially. I have two Payware Programs called Addit Pro ! for FS2004 and NXGNSIM's Livery Manager, and I have the same problem with them. Are there any Freeware or Payware AI Aircraft Texture Manager Programs, amongst others, that allow you to install many Texture.zip Files at once ? And if so what are they called ? and at which Websites, can you download them fro…

Hey guys I'm looking to find something that came out way back in 2006 called "NASCAR 04 Track Pack" which had every NASCAR track in its location across the country. I managed to track it down using the Wayback Machine at a site called FS Simcafe but sadly the download from the server no longer exists. If anyone has any access or info on this please let me know. ... and finally yes, annoyed flying only the amazing 747 PMDG since release day, I've bought PSS777 😄 Anyone can help me understand how to calculate and especially load the payload ? In the PSS> Boeing 777 folder there are two executables, one is the "fuel planning Utility", well done but I use VRoute that when planning also gives me the quantity of fuel to be loaded, the other application is called "Blackbox Config Tool B777 Professional" which, once you click on it, opens only a popup with a text "Boeing 777 Professional - Rebuild Aircraft.cfg Files?" ok, I click on "yes" and the cfg is modified but how ?? How can I understand the weight that loads…

I recently bought their Sandown airfield but unfortunately the installer only offered the FSX and P3D versions. I sent an e-mail to support and received a very prompt reply that they would correct the installer to include FS2004. However, that was a week ago and I've heard nothing further. I've also sent several e-mails but none of them have been acknowledged - absolutely zilch on that front. I tried downloading the installer again a few minutes ago but it hasn't been fixed. Does anyone have any ideas what might be going on here? David

Hello all, I have just visited the Ifly 737 (FS9) repaint forum and noticed that there have been 300 downloads of my design (BBJ3 VH-CAC) which was very well painted by Karzol Air Designs (Bartek or "Holo") I would just love to see some screenies from anyone flying the aircraft and maybe even some comments on whether you like the design and/or the repaint. Given that Bartek very generously painted the aircraft for nothing, and, in my opinion, did such a good job of it, I would again like to publicly thank him for his work and generosity. Hi all, I've been having issues with my REX weather updating with real weather. It was working fine on Monday. I tried today and it has stopped updating. Adding the exe to my firewall (software) helped resolve this on Monday but it has stopped working tonight again. Does anyone know the ports that REX uses for downloading real weather as I am convinced it is my router. I already run the exe's in administrator mode on Windows 7 x64 bit. I have a problem with a "clash" between a revised grass background texture to an airfield and an adjacent (new to fs9) town texture. In daylight everything is fine, but at night the lights etc of the town texture spread into the adjacent grass texture. I then changed the "ground_VTTP.bgl" which had both textures in it into two separate bgl's, "ground1_VTTP.bgl" and "ground2_VTTP.bgl" but this gave birth to a different problem in daylight. I tried with them both in the same scenery folder, and also in separate folders with different scenery library priorities, but the result was either a complete grass background with only a partial town, or a complete town and only partia…

Hi there, I am trying to create an AI Flightplan for myself for a 787-9 Dreamliner, of the new London Heathrow Airport to Perth Intl Airport (Australia) route. The Flight leaves Heathrow at 13:15 GMT and arrives into Perth at 13:00 Perth time. And leaves Perth at 18:45 Perth Time, and gets into London Heathrow at 5:05 GMT What Figures for times, do I need to input for both Flight legs ? in AI Flightplanner ? The Flights take around 17 Hours non stop. Any help would be much appreciated Regards Eddie Winch

Hi guys, A few months ago I started a topic about adjusting afcads in order to let the correct airlines visit the correct gates. I learned a lot since then and I changed lots of afcads. My airports now look more realistic and up-to-date. Nice! There is one thing I wanted to ask you guys. When I visit LAX in the morning the international gates at TBIT are filled with Fedex Cargo planes. Is there some way to get these planes out of there? Is there some way to exclude these planes from these gates? Does LAX really have that much Fedex planes visiting the airport on daily base? Thanks.

The read-me has 'you must have the freeware FPDA altitude callout gauge (fpda_boeing_callout.gau). available here at AVSIM'. I've searched but nothing comes up...........am I doing something wrong ?

I'me not having much luck with these callouts so thought I'd stop but have been asked to put some in a friend's FS2004 I've installed Jimmy Foong's complete 777 callouts (777_callouts.zip) . I put this in the panel cfg: gauge74=FPDA_Boeing_Callout, 10, 100 & the fpda_boeing_callout.gau from Opa in the gauges folder. The sound files are in the sounds folder. BUT the 2500, 1000, 500, & minimums are not being read but the others are. Can someone tell me why not & what I've done wrong ? Mr.Foong's readme says this is the whole deal but................
