This is not my lucky FS period: After loosing (and re establishing thanks to AVSIM readers's help) my FS9 weather, now it looks like I may have a major problem with my HD. Here is the sequence of events:1/ One of my GF module did not work because it was not detected by my GF config. software, I resolved that problem. Hello everyone,Having purchased a new computer I'm almost ready to reinstall FS9 as per Opa's instructions (UAC off, separate folder etc.) He also pointed to a workaround for a problem with Windows 7 when installing addon scenery. I fly Aeroworx' excellent King Air B200. My controllers are a CH Products Yoke and Pedals and a single Saitek Pro Flight Throttle Quadrant. All axes and buttons are set up and controlled through FSUIPC. I am finding that I am not getting any change in sound as I move the prop lever, and in particular when the props are feathered. I originally used the default Aeroworx sound package, and I don't recall whether I could hear a sound change when feathering - but I stopped using these sounds as the engine sounds were linked to RPM instead of torque. Hello,This is happening now systematically when flying online or with ai traffic, I am loosing the task bar of FS9, when there is too many traffic. FSUIPC is set to 25 miles, and SB3 to 25 miles, and under PMDG menu, TCAS is set to FSUIPC and not FS2004, as I am flying mainly online. Note that I am flying in window mode. Clicking on the ALT tab have for effect to have the task bar appearing again, but it is unusable, including with the short cuts.While this is happening, the task bar being on top of the window, the picture on the screen is moved up and on the bottom of the window, I have a balck space wich is exactly the space the task bar would have.Is there any other ha…

Hi guys, for some time I fly in FS9 again (after a long periode of FSX) and I´ve setted the FPS on 40 FPS. It sticks to that value most of the time (No wonder, the system is good enough to work with FSX.). Sometimes it goes down a bit, e.g. at major airpoprts a loss of 4-5 FPS. I´ve heard that is isn´t that useful if you set the FPS too high. This will strain the CPU more then enough. So I´m wondering at wich value I should set it?

Am currently running FS9 with a HP 2.3ghz duel core with 3 gig DDR3 and a builtin Radon HD4250. I know the Video card is my weak point but my question is will increasing my Ram to 6gig DDR3 help at all. Icurrently fly mostly the IFly 737 and can stay at around 20 fps with GEPro, AES, Fly Tampa Airports , Ultimate Terrien and FSGlobal. My problems come in when hit some weather with Active Sky. Any Heavy Cumulos clouds just kill my FPS to single didgits. Just wondering If the ram would help. Thanks

I just arrived in Portugal and installed my PC that followed me, fired up FS9 and... CTD, CTD, CTD, and more CTD! Whereas my FS9 performed perfectly well in Switzerland a few weeks ago, I am now unable to even start a flight regardless of the country or airport choosen. In such cases one must go through the list of the latest installed products so as to determine which one is the culprit.So here it is: Cloud 9 KLAX, REX Overdrive and a bunch of meshes from FS Genesis (many of them). I unselected KLAX from the scenery cfg. list and I still got my CTD, could any of the other products (i.e. REX Overdrive and FS Genesis) cause such a problem? One last piece of information, I …

Few days ao i have bought my new EVGA GTX570 Overlocked video card. But after that i start FS2004 and what i see is some strange lines in the sky ( check screenshot) But biggest problem is when i fly in the night. Does soembody els also having the same problem ? ANd what can i do to solve this graphic problem. Before i whas using the GTX480 en 470 i had no graphic problems.

I am having a serious problem. The aircraft banks just 50 ft above the runway and one time 1000 ft while it was on auto land. And another time just after take off. It happened with Wilco a320, LH maddog, and recently with Ifly 737. it doesn't always happen. But it is a pain to end my otherwise perfect flight.Has anyone experienced that or knows what might be the cause? thanks in advance.

Hi guys,I cannot get the F2 key to engage the reverse thrust function of FS9, regardless of aircraft used. Have uninstalled FS9 and reinstalled it, no joy. I can engage it manually on the aircrafts using the mouse, in all airciraft, but the keyboard is useless, at least this key. All other keys work as advertised.This just happened. Before that it was working like a charm. Any ideas?Yorktown42

I haven't made the move to FSX and have stayed with FS9, but built a new machine and heading that way. I just found out FSNavigator isn't supported anymore and has never been converted to FSX. I know I must have had my head in the sand......I love FSNavigator and after reviewing other flight planning options I don't see anyone that is integrated into FSX like FSNavigator did with FS9. Any way I guess I will still build my flight plans in FS9 and then export them to FSX. Has anyone found a simple way to convert and Export FSNavigator flight plans to FSX?Thank you

If you are like me and after seeing that the Majestic Software Dash 8-300 is on sale, rushed to buy it, let me give you a heads up. If you are a Win7 X64 user like me (this is probably true for all Win7 versions and Vista) do NOT left click on the installation button. RIGHT CLICK and it will bring up a dialogue box. Select "Install as administrator." If you do this, you will save yourself the 24 hours of frustration I have just gone through trying to get it to work.But once you do have it installed, it really is as good as people have said it isCheersIan

Just bought three Lionheart creation aircraft yesterday. I installed the better performing textures to boost performance but only one aircraft performs the way all my other FS9 aircraft does (the Quest Kodiak). I can't get the Epic and new WT-9 Dynamic to run smooth for anything. It's the the glass gauges are coded badly or something. My question is first are others seeing this and second is there a fix or work around for these poor performing models. I have a beefy enough system to run any add-on I've thrown at FS9 over the years and by comparison the Kodiak runs fine (which I've very glad about for my Alaska Cargo runs), what the heck is wrong with the older two bi…

HiI downloaded great freeware scenery of Linz LOWL from http://www.puerstinger.net/FS/FS_DE.htmThe problem is with lot of texture shimmering.I tried to convert textures with Imagetool to dxt3 with mips.After that no shimmering, but after that size of texture folder increased for 30% and texture loading time increased.What should be the best combination, better image and smaller impact on performance.ThanksEdin

Hi Everyone, It has been a while since I have flown from Almaty (UAAA). Feeling in the mood for a long haul trip, I loaded up a flight and found myself sitting on the tarmac ready to go.The problem is, as you can see from the screen shots, is that the taxiways appear to be bleached out. I am convinced that there are some missing textures. I opened up my texture folder in the Add-On scenery folder under Almaty 9 and found asphalt 2.bmp, asphalt2_lm.bmp and asphalt_lm.bmp. Scrolling further down I found taxia.bmp, taxia_lm.bmp, taxib.bmp and taxiab_lm.bmp. In my scenery folder I have a file _asphalt1.bglThese are files that I would normally attribute to taxiways. Hi guys,this afternoon I was checking out some sceneries I´ve recently added. One of these was LGAV (Athens). Nothing spectacular but better than default. In its neighbourhood I found the old Athens airport (LGAT) which is overgrown by autogen houses and so on due to a better landclass file. However this airport is out of service since 2001 and I want to refect the RW and delete it from the scenery. How can I do this?
