I see a lot of discussion surrounding the merging of the POSKY and PMDG 747. My question is why do this? The PMDG 747 has always worked fine for me, so I wonder why anyone would want to merge any aspect of it with the POSKY version. Can someone shed some light on this tactic for me? Am I missing out on something?

After a long time using FSUIPC w/o problems it has stopped working and I can't see any apparent fix.The problem: Start FS9, click "Modules/FSUIPC" in order to do joystick calibration, and the screen turns black and locks up. No response to keyboard, mouse, or yoke/pedals. FS9 has to be killed manually w/task manager.Using FS9 with FSUIPC 3.9.9.1 (registered copy) & 737PIC. I reinstalled FSUIPC and checked for video card driver updates (NVIDIA GeForce 8500GT - most recent drivers already installed).Has anyone seen this before? I don't know what else to do short of complete reinstall of FS9. Thanks for any help.

Hi All, does anybody have any luck getting the Skysim DC-9 autopilot altitude hold to work?I center the vert. speed wheel and always get 100-200 FPM climbs or descents and have to constantly manage.ThanksStan

Hello, forum noob here. I recently downloaded the Project Open Sky 747-400LCF addon. The aircraft appears to function and fly normally, but no matter what I do, the tail will not open. The Aircraft.cfg file says that the 'Tail hook deploy' command will open the tail, but this didn't help. Help?

I am currently using the WOAI packages which I really like. My question is are there more current flt plans (mainly interested in SWA and United) and how do they work with my WOAI aircraft. Do I have to manually change every flt in the plans to work with my WOAI Aircraft? Any easy way to do it? Thanks for any help.Brad

Having invested in the latest Norton Anti virus, I was annoyed to find that my Computer was attacked by some wierd viral infection. No idea what it was, too angry to find out at the time! Just re-installing all my FS Addons in Windows 7 only to find that the excellent PMDG and Level D 767 don't work. As I bought these in 2006, I think I cant find any purchase details. Apart from buying new licences is there any way around this, feel embarrased about writing to them to say I cant fidn the origianal emails.Is there any way to run FS9 without these addons? As FS9 wont run and CTD's?Thanks again! Best Regards,Chris

When I start my flight via selecting it in FS9 Configurator when the flight loads the 2D panel (of iFly's B738) is always shrunk and does not reach the upper side of the screen. I have to manually drag it to the top to fill the whole area. And no matter what I try to do with it (stretch, save etc.) next time I start my fs9 flt situation I have the same problem. But if I enter via normal fs9 shortcut the panel apears ok in the game @1280x960. Is this anything to do with fsuipc, fs9.cfg? Any ideas?Thanks,Dirk.

Hi,Did anyone install the newly released Aerosoft Zurich scenery for FS2004 yet?I wonder how it stands out against the version of FS DreamTeam which I currently have installed.It must be much better before I consider to buy/install it.Egbert

Hello:I just started flying around Portugal and decided to install two very interesting sceneries. I installed Project Lisbon photoreal(plpv4.1) by Pedro Oliveira and the now freeware PT_Terrain which contains scenery and landclass for all of Portugal. I placed plpv4.1 scenery above the PT_Terrain scenery in my scenery.cfg file. Below is a screenshot of my PMDG Air France parked at (above) gate A14 LPPT. Has anyone experienced this problem and how can it be fixed? Thanks for any help or suggestions!Airbus

The attached pic shows a top down view of Ireland and an unwanted "blocked" area of water and terrain. Where it came from, how it occurs and what files are missing/causing this anomaly, I have no idea. I have UT Europe and FS Genesis. Deactivating these programs does not eliminate the "blocked" area. I have selectively deactivated my World/scenery/EurW files with the same results. I have deactivated addon sceneries of Ireland from the defunct ISFD group. No change. Any thoughts /suggestions are most welcome.Thanks

Hello everyone,Recently I've reinstalled FS9 on a new computer (i7-2600 at 3.4 Ghz, 4GB RAM, Nvidia GT 420 1024 Mb, Windows 7 64 bit) and everything works fine, except for the Shockwave landinglights. They show up as a number of overlapping rotating squares (Tried to add a picture but got an error message, probably because it was in bmp format). Has anyone encountered this issue and is there a remedy? Thanks in advance for any input.Kind regards,René

Is FiftyNorth the best 737-300, 400, and 500 out now? Is there anything better? I have been using the FFX models and want to get something of higher quality. Is anyone else making a newer 737-300, 400, and 500 models?If I do get the FiftyNorth models does it come with a panel and sounds? I am reading the description on Simmarket and I can't find anything if it has or has no sound and panel.

Can anyone recommend a program which has all the elements of the checks the pilots go through via the checklists, etc. I am really looking for built-in aircraft checklist files in this too. Ideally this would be pre-flight, takeoff, etc.etc.ThanksShez

When pressing Y key to enter slew mode, a red-letter line appears at the uppermost of the FS screen containing position and speed info, right ?In my case it doesn't appear as usual since a few days ago. If I try using shift+Z 3-4 times it may come back, but it is important to find out why this is happening. I suspect some new updates for .NET Framework 2.0, 3.0, 3.5 & 4.0. Already uninstalled some of them but no hits for the moment.I had a look in FS9.cfg and FSUIPC.ini without having found any clue.Any ideas ?Sotiris.

I have windows 7 and ms 2004 and I need to find the config file for ms 2004. I used to know how to find it in my other os but have not had the occasion to look for it in 7. Can someone point me to it? Thank you Don

HiI am posting on here rather than the FSDT forum as they no longer provide tech support for older Cloud9 products. I have their excellent KDCA Ronald Reagan Airport but there's a problem with AI. All traffic is directed to a single runway 01/19 which causes horrendous backups of traffic on the ground and interminable waits for take off clearance. So I changed the AFCAD file using AFX so that it would use 01/19 for takeoffs and 04/22 for landings but although the file is correctly configured, the AI traffic are still directed to 01/19 just as if I hadn't changed a thing. It does not appear to be an ADE file - the original AF2 file is in the KDCA scenery folder and that's …

So I was landing at Malpensa today from Bern and just as touched down and started rolling down the runway, the runway started to like disappear. I could see grass at my position and runway in front of me (this is REALLY HARD to explain, so I apologize if I'm confusing anyone). I attached a picture so you can see what exactly my problem is. Any thoughts?

Hi there. I would like a good a ZSPD airport scenery.I have searched and come across a few i.e. ai china and on flightsim and avsim, but don't know which one is good. Also i came here for advice as i dont want to download heaps of scenery and have to try each one out...What ones do you use? Hello, I installed Ultimate Traffic 2007 for FS9 which didnt work, so I uninstalled it again and now there is no traffic in my game. All the preferences are checked (traffic is on, 100% etc). Other than a full install (I dont want to have to install ALL my planes again!) Im not sure what could be causing it. I know the UT makes game reg changes, could that be it?Thanks, Ross.

Hello,I'm running FS9 on Windows 7 x64 and a GTX470 and I have this issue that is driving me crazy. I've spent more time trying to solve this issue than I've spent flying! :( When I press ALT to access the menu the screen goes black for a second or two and then I'm able to see windows that I had opened and closed before.The menu bar stays on top of a black screen with "ghostwindows" and the FS9 view only returs after closing the menu bar either by choosing something from the menu or pressing ALT again.This is a bit tricky to explain so I'll post a screenshot.When I press "Fly Now" the screen also flickers a couple of times but I can live with this.I also had an issue wit…

I am considering purchasing Blueprints Dallas Love Field scenery. I know that is is not the same quality as others but it looks better than the default scenery. I would like to know if it is worth buying before i waste $13.50.
