Does anyone have a freeware or payware of KEWR that is frame friendly??? I have the imaginesim and i had a few freeware but when landing about 80 miles out the rate drops down to 1-5 freeze and on takeoff same thing. I also have 3-5 while at the gate

Hi to all, perhaps especially to these members who know the Boeing 727 from own experiences. Now, after I switched from a DC-6 to the B727 (Appliance, your Scotch...), some questions arise regarding the flying and handling behaviour of this type, not only in general but because I noticed differences between two available FS2004 models. I started with the B727-100 from HJG (essentially the Vistaliners model) and switched over now to the Dreamfleet 727-100. Now the questions: 1. I realized that with cruising speed (M 0.8 at FL370, N1 is at approximately 80%), the plane has constantly a certain angle of attack of perhaps 3-5 degrees. Is this the real behaviour …

Hi all, As some of you may know Imagine Sim has just released KCLT Charlotte Douglas for FS9 and, as my credit card has had a chance to cool down recently, I decided to go for it. First impressions are that it is a very good scenery addon although not quite up to the excellent standards of Fly Tampa or the other handful of other developers who are setting the gold standard for FS9 now. Nevertheless it is clear that Imagine Sim are upping their game and the resultant product is a very nice addition to FS9. Hi there! I am using Ultimate Terrain Europe and Ground Environment Pro and what bothers me is that in the summer whole Spain's vegetation looks like vegetation in, say, the Netherlands or UK - the terrain is green and there is no sign of the Spanish dry mediterranean climate - looks nothing like Spain. Is there any way to make Spain's terrain look like Spain?

Hello everyone, I recently installed the American Eagle (Skywest) repaint for the AI Malcontent CRJ-200 by Gideon Williams. It's an excellent repaint, but I'm 99% sure that it's the reason my sim keeps crashing every time I start in a city where it happens to be. Is there a way to fix this? Unfortunately, there aren't any other repaints of this plane available. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! George

Hi Folks. Does anybody know why on my FS2004, when I hit the full screen option, the cursor turns black and within 5 seconds the whole sim crashes to Desktop. Thanks John

Has anyone exprience a bried 1-2 second leg when touching down ( landing) at an ANY payware scenerey airport? For me it happens randomly, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. It happened with me today with PMDG 747-400F at a payware Santa Maria Airport (LPAZ) It didnt happend when landing on the same aiport with PMDG MD-11 and Level D 767.

I have a small but annoying problem with my FS2004. All my graphics are set to high, I have Ground Environment Pro, 1024 32 bit clouds, all the sweet things for this sim, is a joy to fly......BUT I have a problem with the clouds, they flicker on distance, I can't stand it anymore, my eyes are always pointing wherever the clouds ficker, it's like a natural attraction between my eyes and the stupid flickering clouds!!! Pls say that is a known cure for this!!! I have the horizont set to 60NM and cloud draw to 80NM, I'm using freeware HDEv2 cluods

Hi Folks. Does anybody know how to keep the GPS on top over an undocked 3D cockpit view. I undock my virtual cockpit to be able to wrap it round my three screens. But when I try to pull up the GPS, or any other gauges etc, for that matter, they are underneath the cockpit view and cannot be seen. If I get to the GPS and undock that, then as soon as I click on the screen anywhere it disappears underneath the cockpit view again. Is there a trick one can do to hold the GPS on top all the time please. Thanks John

Hi, After installing, and then removing SweetFX GUI from FS9, I am getting the following error message when booting up FS9: "Error while unpacking program, code LP6. Please error message to author." The following appears to be causing the crash in the event viewer: Faulting module path: C:\Windows\syswow64\ole32.dll After running a HotFix from Microsoft, I am not getting the ole32.dll error anymore, but I still get the LP6 error message. I don't know if SweetFX is to blame, but it happened after I installed and removed it (have tried the backup .exe I created before installing it, but it just crashes straight away without the error message). Anybody knows if it is possible to change an aircraft beacon from rotating to flashing modifying the respective .fx file ? I checked FS9 SDK, but found nothing relevant. Sotiris.

I'm looking for a good freeware P-51D hopefully with good sounds (not borrowed from a default cessna...) and not bothered too much about a VC if the 2d panel is good enough. I have searched the internet for links but they are all 5 year old broken links!

I've downloaded some UK landclass and some addon scenery and cannot get them to install, when i open fs2004 and go to the add scenery directory i navigate to the folder the .bgl files are in and they do not display, the folder just shows as empty. Any help please!

Hello all, only a few words about John Stinstrom's Scenery "Erding Airbase ETSE": I installed it yesterday on FS2004 and it works very well, also with the "LandscapeGermanyLandclass/-Mesh/-Rivers". It's really made great. I'm living in Erding and so I know the region very well. Also I compared the scenery with the Googlemaps Satellitepictures and "wow"! The "Fliegerclub Erding", founded in 1967, has since 1990 the Building 511 in Erding Airbase as "Base". I often see them flying, cause we are living in the approach corridor. Sometimes, mostly on Saturdays, some Panavia Tornados are approching here and it's impressing to see them landing and taking off. There …

Calling all desk-top pilots, please help! When I start FS9 I get the following error message: "Scenery.cfg File Error. C:/Documents and Settings\Kim\My Documents\Flight Sim Downloads\EKRN\Scenery in Area 171 not found" Error messages like this I can usually correct but here is why I am so confused: I had made no changes to the Flight Sim prior to this error message appearing. I keep nothing in my Downloads folder, once scenery and aircraft have been installed in the Flight Sim on the D Drive the downloads folder is emptied. EKRN refered to in the error message is the airport code for Ronne, Denmark; however, Area 171 in the scenery.cfg file is held by Porto Alegre i…

I was fine and able to ignore this the first few times, but just ran into it again. Anybody have this problem? What happens is sometimes in the ocean, not too far from the coast, I would see a thin straight line of "ground texture" that extend about 2 miles across. I know the first time I encountered this was on a fresh install. Pretty weird and very rare. Normally I'd ignore it but the reason I brought it up is I found one on one of my favorite routes which is a short flight from Madrid to Ibiza using Aerosoft scenery for both airports. Hi I am having problems with my FS freezing. I recently upgraded my OS from XP PRO to Win 7. when I am about an hour or so into my flight the system freezes, when I go into task manager it takes for ever but it shows that my CPU is running at 100%. I us my FS, REX, PMDG 737-800 and my VA ACARS programs. I never had problems with XP. is this a Win 7 issue? Steve

I've tried: -ctrl+E -brought up the panel and click the eng start switches -brought up the throttles into view and the mixture levers are moving ok for start when ctrl+E. -Engines just turnover/ chug. -Tried create a new flt on active runway and the engines will stallout and not restart. -Uninstalled and re-installed the Aerostar; no-go. - Used the FSD DataTest.exe and it found nothing wrong. -Selected different aircraft, including other FSD aircraft I own and they all start fine. So I figure I'm just not "engine start qualified" on the Aerostar. Any tips you folks can give appreciated. I'm unable to ask at their(FSD) forums;can't find the link anymore at their site …

Greetings to the old timers who remember me. Also, it’s nice to meet those with whom I haven’t interacted before. For the information of those who’ve come since I left, I believe I have 5,000+ posts as xxmikexx. As an earlier incarnation, mikeymcc, I had an additional 6,000+ as I recall. (Translation: I’ve been around the FS block several times since starting out here as a lurker in 1998.) The title says it all. It doesn't really bother me that much because I fly airliners, but it would be nice to have water that doesn't pulsate. I have REX and currently using Zinertech water. Both of them have this issue. I'm thinking about trying out FS Water from Flight1's website. Anybody have this one?

I've been using CS Legendary 707 for many years now with no problems. About a week ago, I discovered that the b707.tcas.gau file was no longer working and that it no longer existed in the FS gauge folder. The file had been quarantined by BitDefender 2013. The virus listed was "Gen:Variant. Symmi.17092" Is this a false positive or has a virus suddenly come "alive" in this file? Cheers Trevor

Have any of you changed the light color using the UT texture configuration tool? I have all the UT products for FS9 installed. In the texture configuration tool, I have changed pavement brightness, traffic density and enabled enhanced urban night textures with no problem. I tried changing the lights from "High Pressure Sodium" to "Mercury Vapour" and I don't see any difference in the sim. With night lighting enabled, all types of lights are shown. Yellow, orange and red are what I see on major roads, highways and smaller roads and there are the green lights in residential areas and smaller roads. I thought most, or all of the lights should be glowing a greenish/blue…
