There was a texture pack available for the Pavel Hvatkin Il-18 aircraft that seems to have gone missing. Does anyone have that texture pack around, by any chance? B)

Hello, as the topic says, where is that aircaft name recognized by the ATC, I cant find it in the aircraft.cfg, for examply ATC calls an AI ATR 42, Aerospatiale 42, I use an ISDT ATR and it calls me Experimental 42, how can I change that ?

It's been a while since I started a topic on this forum so let me summarize what has happened recently. After buying a graphics card because of autogen no spawning in the distance and an overall bad look on FS9 (Yes, I did all the CFG tweaks and added GEX REX GEPro all that) and did not see any improvements. So, I switched to FSX. I like the looks and all and frames are decent (10-40FPS), I miss FS9 and the fact that I am not worried about FPS and if theyre there, because I know they are. FSX seemed a little too sluggish for me. After a fresh install of FS9 I did notice better frames from when I just added the card, but still, autogen doesnt spawn until within about a mil…

The title of the topic says it all. To be specific, I have two major airports that I use frequently where this is rather annoying i.e. LSGG (Geneva) and LSZH (Zurich) with a 40% AI traffic I cannot use ATC since Ground and Tower send non stop messages to AI traffic. Hence my question: Can we change those frequencies somewhere within FS9 so as to have two separate frequencies one for Ground and one for Tower as it should be? I have not seen this problem at any important airports and I have been unable to locate a file where this can be done.. Thank you.

My computer locked up this afternoon and had to reboot. No this comes up.. I am logged in as admin. I ran spybot and win32.downloader.gen showed up and removed.. still same. Will restore to earlier date help. Thanks what a PITA Here is a pic of the Error.. oh an new screen came up when i tried to shut down that I have never seen before, a grey box with a dropdown box asking id I want to shut down, restart, or hold on( or something like that) Thanks

Hi, I posted in the PMDG forum and will try here. I just did a clean install of Windows 7 64bit. Installed FS2004 and PMDG 747. My overhead panel buttons and switches flicker on and off one section of the panel at a time. All other panels are fine. I use a EVGA GTX 460 SC 1GB card. Have the latest drivers.

Has anyone experienced this problem with weird grey boxes popping up everywhere you fly to? I had recently just started experiencing this weird phenomenon. I installed Nvidia 314.22 latest driver. Could that be the problem or is it something corrupted? It only happens once you take off and when you land (on the ground) those grey boxes disappear I have FS 9.1. It happens with any plane.

For some reason my FS9 start crashing with the NTDLL.Dll error. I rebuilt the fs9.cfg, replced the fs9.exe, fsuipc dll. From searching the net info says reinstalling windows solve the problem, but nothing else is having problem except fs9. When I run FSX I don't get the fault, so I'm wondering if it's just fs9 related. Hi. I have FS9 on a separate computer from FSX and was wondering if there is a specifc setup guide (tips and tricks for best performance) for FS9? I had loaded FS9 a few years ago, but as I remember I never did really tweak it any. Thanks, Jeff Smith

Having an issue with ground at TJSJ, I dont believe its the scenery itself and more of a flatten issue around the airport, ground is all gray, any help is appreciated.

Hey guys, I've noticed people saying to put this value between 1 and 4. Mine is/was 232 before i made changes to my fs9.cfg file. So why is mine so drastically different and how can I change it? Thanks

Hi, Do I need to add the 4gb patch to FS2004 running in Windows7 with 8gb of ram? Getting reading to do a fresh install of FS2004 on my computer.

Anybody know if FSBuild or one of the other FS external flight planner tools will create flight plans that can be used in the PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies for FS9? Im late to this party, but am starting to dig into the details hard....RTFM big time. Eric

Hi, I seem to be having troubles with my AI aircraft textures not loading unless i am very close to them either on the ground or whilest the AI aircraft are on approach. I have increased the texture loading in cfg file to TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=800 But the ai aircraft textures are still blank in the distance. I have 4G of ram and Nevedia 450 GTS Card. Running W7 64 Bit. I get around 35 FPS so a good frame rate. Just annoying to see grey textureless aircraft sitting at an airport ! Any ideas ? Regards Simon

I posted this in the PMDG 747-400 forum however no replies so I am posting it here. Just started using a monitor that operates at 2560X1440. After setting the monitor up I noticed that the overhead panel of the PMDG 747-400 is distorted. By that I mean it appears there are images from several panels including night panels displayed. This does not occur in the FSX version of the aircraft. Does anyone have any ideas on how to correct this (or if it can be corrected). Thanks.

Hello all, Just a quickie (so to speak) I have noticed a programme called 3D cockpit effects (FSPS) for FSX (dammit) It looks to be absolutely wonderful and if you are running FSX I would seriously recommend that you at least look at it. It is payware but not expensive. It may well also be a similar programme to EZIDOCK too. Does anyone know of a similar programme for FS2004? I have tried Active Camera (Anticyclone) but this apparently only works on one monitor (I am using 7) and only in VC mode..I have 3 screens (main view is projector and is cockpit view) and two 32inch monitors for side views ((VC mode)) Please note that the FSPS 3D cockpit effects m…

Hello, I am trying to find a suitable scenery for UUDD Domedovo Moscow for FS9. I found a scenery on the Russian Version of AVsim but the altitude levels are all over the place and the aircraft sink into the runways and aprons. I think there is a fix for this but as the read me is in Russian im a bit lost. I therefore looked at payware and came across a website called ifGfly which has a very good UUDD scenery, but it seems you cannot buy anymore. Anybody know a fix for the freeware or where i can purchase the payware scenery. Regards Simon

I was just wondering (and already did some research on the web) if there is a good free/payware scenery of Boeing Field and/or Paine Field. I know a few years back there was a scenery developer (I forgot the name) that was working on a very nice looking version of Boeing Field but it was never been released. Thanks! Guy

Hi everyone, I just restarted up my old PC this evening for a chance to re-live the FS9 days I unwittingly ended last year as I got hold of a Mac. The setup I had was immense, with countless AI, tons of scenery, night-time textures and little mods here and there to make it the coolest, most unique program I ever owned. It was working perfectly as I left it last year, but starting it up this evening has caused a huge disappointment. Every time it starts up, there's a message that says 'Initialization failure [insert aircraft name]', it goes to a black screen as if it's passing onto the initial menu, and then a failure message comes up with the dreaded 'MSF…

Hi I recenly got FS9, I have mostly used FSX, is there something in FS9 like Freeze Altitude in FSX?You could assign a button to it, and when you press it the alitude would not change at all.Please Reply ASAP

Do you change the appearance in the fs9.cfg file? which one do you change to make smaller? Is there an entry to make them brighter? Thanks
