Hi all! is there a setting in the aircraft cfg that can be altered to increase the reverse thrust?

In a few months I will be getting a new computer (in August or September) and while I do not want to abandon FS9 there are some planes, helicopters, and scenery that are FSX only that I would like to use. So can FS9 and FSX be on the same hard drive and work right? PS: Sorry if this question is in the wrong forum. I did not know where to ask it.

Hi After many years running fs9 on my pc, slow loading times and crashes have led me to think I need to reinstall. Start from a clean slate. Only problem is this- it's going to be a very long process. I have hundreds of scenery and aircraft addons- freeware and payware. I know one is supposed to uninstall the addons first, and then the base structure. Can I save time by saving aside at least the addon scenery folder, and then just build up the scenery library from scratch? I'm just looking for a way to streamline the reinstall, so it won't take a month. Any tips? Just a sample of my addons: PMDG 737 Level D 767 Flight1 ATR 500 and Pilatus 12…

Was wondering what flight planning programs are being used by the FS9 community. I have FS Build, but would like to see what others are using and how well they like it. What would really be great, is if there is something that would work on the ipad. Thanks for your input.

Just a heads-up. Christian Delblond's rather nice freeware scenery of this Caribbean Islands Hewanorra Intl airport (TLPL) is released today in AVSIM's library.

I have been flying both the Alphasim and Area 51 C-5 aircraft. Both are really lacking in the documentation of flight performance parameters. Right now I'm specifically looking for information on optimal altitudes for maintaining normal cruise at different aircraft weights? However, any and all performance data would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Hi there, I am kinda desperate, because I managed to read through a PDF manual also I watched a few tutorial vids for wilco embraer 190 but I cant take off properly with this plane from Glasgow Int. Properly means that I can take off but it means that it take me nearly whole lenght of the runway and I can manage to pull nearly at the end of the runway, which I find very strange because I experienced a real flight from Glasgow (EGPF) to Southampton with Flybe Embraer 190 and I would say that a plane took off like in the middle of the runway. My take off "set-up" flaps(2), nose pitch 4.9 up, throttle TO/GA.. So if anyone has any ideas what kind of mistake have I done or if …

Does anyone know how to fix the Virtual Cockpit upper right hand side missing panel bitmap part? It also has the compass Dial showing in the upper right side from the missing panel not being there. I am thinking that it has been made into the MDL and I can not fix it. Part of the upper right side panel is showing it;s gauge on the lower console middle table. Looks like a UV location problem. panel lights do not function correctly. Turn on the nav lights ans all of the cabin lights come on and can not shut them off. CD4 player cause hard frame rate hit, Cowl flaps cause a ghost landing gear to come down and they will not retract unless you adjust the cowl flap…

Hey ho... already tried a merge between Posky B767-400 and Level-D and it worked well except one thing: no strobe lights are working. Not a big thing but of course it's not real. In the B762 it's working. So I wanted to know if someone knows how to merge the Level-D panel with the SkySpirit B767-400 Thanks. PS: I know a PSS B777 panel would be more real but I'm more familar with B767 and also I'm more trusting the LDS panel then the PSS

Hey guys, I got this add on last night and I'm very happy with it. User interface is very easy and straight forward to use. You get your choice of 15 different colors for water and you can pick a separate color for rivers. You also get a good selection of water animation. The package is not only water, a set of sky color textures is included along with aircraft reflection and sun. I've been using Zinertek Ultimate Water. Hi, For the past few weeks/months I've had strange blurry behavior in FS2004. It is almost like only a radius around my aircraft is clear and then it gets blurry past that radius. I have tired every fs9.cfg tweak and nothing works. Below is a video that really demonstrates what my issue is. In my Windows 7 Sound Options, there are a couple of options: I can choose either 16bit or 24 bit audio and CD quality and DVD quality audio. Which one should I choose. I expremenited with 16 bit CD quality vs 16 bit DVD quality, and i might be mistaken but it seems like when I select 16 bit CD Quality, the Flight sim runs smoother.

Hi everyone, I attempted to reinstall FS9 but when I want to select an aircraft (the default Cessna for example), the box is black, there is no aircraft. I've got this problem only when I fly in the full-screen mode, in the windowed screen mode, I can see my aircraft in the box. I tried to reset my graphic cards presets (no AA and no AF) but the problem is still here. I've got a GeForce GTX 660 with the lastest drivers and I'm running Windows 8 Pro 64bits. I've got FSX and I can see the aircraft in the box, even in the full-screen mode ... Any idea ? Thank you.

Ok so I had this trouble even in my Win7 and its still happening... so after I startup and cycle views and reach the 2d cockpit it cuts in to halves or something like that I have a Win8 64bit currently.... please help me.... appreciate it! :mellow: ^_^ -_- :(

Over the last few days I have found that downloaded weather for FS9 is always the same! For example, at KBOS the winds are always 005 @11; for KSFO the winds are always 244 @20; for LIML the winds are always 340 @7. These conditions always differ from real world conditions at these airports. FYI I use FS9 default weather and with FSX I use REX weather. Could anyone please help me to fix this problem? Hello folks, Recently I've been having this issue where in spot view my AC textures are shifting around, it comes and goes occasionally, usually shortly leading to a CTD, but not always. This doesn't happen in the VC though. Any Ideas??

My CH Eclipse Yoke with yoke mounted rudder paddles has become unable to taxi in a straight line anymore. The plane suddenly veers left or right like a drunk. If I uncheck the auto-rudder box this problem disappears but I have no floor mounted rudder paddles to steer with and my Parkinson fingers can't do all the finger work required to control the landing rollout of a jet airliner. I have also opened up the yoke and found the potentiometer for the rudder paddles. Should I try spraying electronic cleaner into it or could that be a no-no? JGSJW Further thought .
