Hi everryone I recently purchased Active Sky 2 and now i'd like to uninstall it, I was advised firstly by AFS-Design to start by installing the default textures but i'm not sure how to go about this process, please could anyone advise? Many Thanks Richard

Hi Guys (using FS9) Just 'playing' with this program at the moment - when I import the default C172 mdl file, make no changes, then export it again to save over the original file, the aircraft comes out all messed up in FS9. Is this something to do with the ' Set condition variables' box which appears before I import the mdl file? Can't find anything in the manual about this. Can anyone help please? Cheers Jont.

While looking at my main FS9 cfg file I saw in the folder where the FS9 cfg file is kept C/users/name/Appdata/Roaming/Mocrosoft/FS9 there is a folder named AIRCRAFT and it has a bunch of aircraft in there (some I don't even have anymore). If I click on the folders some are empty but others have a cfg file named "state". Does anyone know why this is there? I am guessing it is safe to delete the folders? What does the cfg file state for?

Ok so recently I have been reading the forums on a sim on brakes at work and I have to say I really enjoy the Congo but some just get way to serious first off I want to give u a lil info on my build your typical laptop acer v5 touch screen with windows 8 i5 with 4 gigs of ram no graphics card just intel4000 speed max I e seen is 2.6 ghz on CPU temperatures about 40 when idle when maxed out 60 now this is not what you would call your one laptop or computer to game for fs2009 but thing is I can run fs2004 on high with about 30-63 in fps normal no addons or anything. I went into the scenery/world/scenery and renamed the Trafficxxxxxx.blg to a bgh file. But my ATC still give them traffic but I don't see them I use RAdar Contact for my ATC this don't seem to be a RC issue what can I do to get rid of the default traffic so I don't hear them

I can not set the autothrotle of the Airbus Evolution Vol 1 Wilco. After takeoff I set the Ap1 and the airplane does not follow the speed programmed in the FMC (250 knots climb and 270 knots cruize). The autothrotle is on connected. I have searched on the internet and I did not found some solution. Can anyone help me? I have read the manual and I did not found an answer to this. My operating system is Windows 8.

Hi I am one of those who prefer to install custom designed AI traffic plans such as those from AIG or UTT. Over the years some models become obsolete - eg FSP and PAI which can be easily dealt with by deleting the old folders. My question is does anyone know of a utility which will allow me to modify the .cfg files of current aircraft to take out an entry for a particular livery without having to manually renumber all the entires in the file? Hello everyone, I've had this problem in the past, but at the time, I didn't know too much about this issue. Somehow, I managed back then, to get it resolved without reinstalling FS. Now troubles back, and I noticed that apparently, it only pops up while messing around with REX (I just wanted to change my clouds and sky textures). What I did in the past to get rid of this prob was to uninstall, and then reinstall FS9.1 update, that appeared to fix it. But now it doesn't fix it anymore which makes me think if that thing with FS9.1 was just a coincidence..maybe it was something else that actually fixed it..or not. Why does my FS2004 shut down randomly with no warnings, crash reports...etc. ? For example sometimes I was flying from Helsinki to Oulu and when I am about half way, the sim shutted down, no warnings, no reports, no Windows send reports and like that. I wonder that I have flown 6hrs flights with my sim, with no crash or even lagg, but sometimes on ground, sometimes on land, sometimes on cruise... and if I am just testing for example default b737, it shuts down. Help me!!!

Well, I bought TrackIR 4 on sale and got around to working with it today. The install went smooth and it worked immediately with FS 9. However, I noticed a few things right away that I'd like some of your thoughts on if you have TrackIR and use it in FS 9. 1. The normal small movements of the head cause the mouse clicks in VC mode to be somewhat difficult as the mouse finger has to chace the button or switch as it jiggles due to head movement. Sometimes it catches it, and sometimes not. 2. The normal slight movement of the head also cause some shimmering in my panels in VC. 3. Hi all. I'm useing CLS A330 external models merged with Wilco Airbus Vol 2 aircraft models. Does anybody know of a way to get PW engines, (which wilco don't do) to show with this merge combination by shuffling and playing with air files and cfg's perhaps. Any help would be much appreciated. I have bought Wilco Airbus Vol 1,2 and 737 For FS 2004. I also have E-jets V2 and Embraer 135/145 V2 but its made by Feelthere. I am not sure if its the same as Wilco. I have been disgusted by quality of the plane both inside and out. (Airbus and Boeing) Visuals are horrible, flight dynamics are even worse. They customer support is non-existent and I Feel like they are ripping people off. As an Example, their Wilco AIrbus Evolution series, what already must have been included into the basic version, they go out and release an expensive update. Also their new Falcon 7 news here on avsim main page, the comments have been negative and rightfully so, but they have been delete…

Finally bought the AlphaSim Hunter and am well impressed! I've been using Dave Garwood's FGA.9 for years along with repaints but the only fault I can find with AlphSim's product is that the ground-idle running speed is too high at 5000rpm, it should be 2500-2700rpm. Is there any way of adjusting this or is it tied in with the model.cfg and .mdl? I spent 10 years of my RAF career working on Hunters so I would like to get this right

After 2+ years I finally got my Captain Sim C-130 Pro re-installed on my Windows 7 computer. It installed fine, but in spot view (on the ground) the plane has no gear or props. Does anyone know how to fix this? I don't remember this problem when I had Windows XP.

My brother, a simmer, has poor eyesight, even with glasses. He flies the Baron 58 in FS9. I'd like to change the readout intensity in the Radio stack. I remember this being done in the Learjet 45, but don't recall where I saw the details. I won't mind changing as well the readout color ( red to yellow on dark background).; particularly for the ALTITUDE . Any ideas, references, tips or tricks well appreciated. --- We miss you, Opa !. If anybody owns PMDG MD-11 and MD-11F for FS 2004, when in autopilot mode or manual flight, does your yoke move left and right/ forward and backwards with jerky motion. It doesn't have that fluent feel like PMDG 747 for example of Level 767 or any other payware plane. Thanks

Hello all, I am trying to edit the [groundroll] section in the sound.cfg of an aircraft. There are quite a few parameters to alter, but so far I have only little understanding of their respective functions. Is there perhaps some guidance on how to edit them properly? My goal is to have a loud groundroll sound in the cockpit view. Many thanks!
