There's a problem when i do an ils landing. The plane catches the localizer correctly but when the glidescope is alive the plane goes beneath the glidescope and lands short of the runway. I put the panel of the wilco airbus to a project opensky airbus a330, did the same thing! but when i put another panel on the project opensky it lands perfectly! Is there a fix for this???

Hello, I have been using FSX for just over a couple of months which I am pretty happy with on my low end system and while having a sort through I found my copy of FS9 complete will 4 VFR scenery dvds for the UK still in their wrappers plus World Airports 2 which I used to use on my previous pc. I also have noticed that there are fs9 versions of the two UK2000 airports I have purchased ( Luton and Gatwick) Can I install this onto my pc in addition to FSX? as I am hoping that it would run pretty well and if so are there any pitfalls that i need to be aware of? After setting up a number of flights and screenshots in FSX in preparation for comparing FTX Global with Ground Environment X, I really missed the lightning fast FS9 load times. I spent 99% of my FSX time looking at the load screen; B O R I N G. :Waiting:

That is, doha_photoreal.zip... This is one of those odd cases where one scenery seems to create real oddities half-way across the world. If you have installed this scenery, go to the Bristol Channel in the UK, just a few miles north-west of Filton EGTG. Do you have double suspension bridges there? By trial and error I traced the problem to file Bridges01.bgl in the Doha buildings folder. If you decompile this to an xml file, you can see that there are lots of bridges included thousands of miles from Doha. There is also a very large file called bridges.bgl which contains the models for the bridges. I guess that without bridges01.bgl, which specifies their placement…

When I open LWMViewer (V2) I get a plain lime green window. And I can't get past that stage!! I have entered the paths of the bglcomp etc. files and there is a tick in each box. The path to FS9 is correctly given. When I try to create the FS9 database ("this may take some time"..), nothing happens. I have left it for 30 minutes more than once, but since the process shows zero CPU activity in Task manager, I think I can assume nothing is happening. When I connect to FS9 and choose 'Follow', again, no change, just the yellow/green blank window. I have reinstalled the programme. Same result. Any ideas anyone why this is a dead duck on my PC? Ok, I'm at a bit of a loss at this but determined to try and solve it..... Flew Trans-Atlantic yesterday to recreate the flight that one of my work team members was on when she flew From London to Newark, New Jersey then on to Cleveland, Ohio in the USA. The long haul sector was flown using the Boeing 757-200 on United Airlines. The second sector on to Cleveland was a Boeing 737-900 winglet version jet on the same airline (757 was PSS Pro from JustFlight and the 737-900 Winglet was the IFly 737-900, all flown in FS9). The flight was flown entirely online on VATSIM (Squawkbox) and with ActiveSky Evolution for weather. In order to prepare for this and recreate…

I have been reading avsim forums for many years and this is my first post. I just want to say thank you for the wonderfull helicopter gauge BladeSlapSND from Stephan Siebertz! This is a really nice gauge.

Does anyone know the reason (and fix) for the high level clouds to be cut off like in this view? Is it within the program? Or is it more like a DXT1 vs DXT3 file issue? I pretty much ignore it; but if it's fixable, I'd like to do it.

Hello, I recently updated my LatinVFR KMIA scenery to version to version2. Here's my dilemna: I spent countless hours tweaking my parking in the original version to make it as realistic as possible (gate sizes, airline and cargo assignments, etc) based on parking info obtained from various sources on the web (mainly the official MIA website). The folks at LatinVFR have made a brand new afcad for version2; however, I'm still using my original afcad from version 1 with no immediately apparent issues. I would like to use the new afcad, though, (just in case I'm missing out on a potential performance increase) but I don't want to go through the headache of spending countle…

Hi I've recently experienced the following problem and I've never had it before, The problem has occurred at: Amsterdam Alicante Malaga Common to all three? Transavia. Also the fact that just 25 mins ago I was taxiing to the active 13 at LEMG whilst a Transavia 737-700 was on final approach, the sound went the image stayed then - ''FS2004 has encountered an error and needs to close'' has anyone else noticed this problem? The texture I believe to be at fault is available here in the library: b738w_transavia.zip It displays like this in my sim and the problem only occurs during sunrise/sunset and night.

Have tried this in FS9 with no 3rd. party addons - seems to be in the default, so I guess everyone has the same thing? Anyone got a fix (unlikely, I know!)??? This is en route to SVMI, which is nice to fly to and has some good addon scenery, so it is slightly annoying to see this every time... I guess I could get out my installation of Ground2K4, but that's always a last resort! Martin

I have a couple of issues that I have never fixed permanently and wonder what the solution is. The only way I can get the complete LA skyline is to install and activate QLRP4UT. All I have without it is a few generic bldgs here and there. However, if I activate QLRP4UT, I get the missing LA skyscrapers, but I also get double bridges at Portland, OR with FZ's KPDX scenery. I am sure most of you resolved these issues long ago (or maybe you never had them) but if anyone can recall how is the best way to resolve this, I would really appreciate it.

I've been using the default "partly cloudy" texture set for the longest time without creating any new ones. I recently created a set for "clear skies" and really like the textures. It works well even in cloudy situations. I like the more vibrant look of it. My question is.. If I create another "partly cloudy" set, what difference will I see compared to the default "partly cloudy"?

I have the Latin VFR scenery for San Diego (KSAN), but before that I used the Fly Tampa version. When I had the Fly Tampa version I had a approach file that came with the official Alpha India Group AFCAD for the scenery. Can I still use that approach file even though I do not have the Fly Tampa scenery anymore? Will it cause problems with the Latin VFR scenery?

I purchased this last week and just installed it. I haven't flown yet. So far I've only loaded a plane at KMIA to make sure it's working. I opened up the manual first to see what's in there and came across this.... There are a few issues regarding compatibility with Ultimate Terrain USA you need to be aware of. Ultimate Terrain, when activated, will remove a lot of autogen from our scenery. To see the full autogen you need to deactivate “Ultimate Terrain – USA” area from you FS Scenery Library. This will however remove 3D street lights as well. I do have Ultimate Terrain USA installed and I found "Ultimate Terrain USA" in the Scenery Library. I'm not sure what…

I've tried them both together but get wierd 'leakage' of BSS through the FSDT airport. Is there a fix for it that is known at all?

Does the Flex temperature feature in the FMS work in the CRJ700-900 for fs9 ? Seems to make no difference. If it does, please advise on how to use it. Thanks Trevor

Hello I just bought a new system and put all the FS9 stuff in a external hd drive. Now, I am running FS9 from the external hd. The only issue is that I can't use a program that I used to manage my scenery library called SceneryConfigEditor, since this program crashes when I try to acess the drive "E:\". Anybody could suggest another FS9 freeware program to help to manage the library scenery? Thank you!
