Hi, Just built a new system and keep getting Fatal Error CTDs with the faulting module being shown as igdumdim32.dll. Simple specs are : i7-4770k on an ASUS Z87-A board 16Gb ram of 1600MHz (memtests OK) No graphics card - using the onboard Intel HD4600 Windows 7 64 Ultimate Using latest ASUS drivers Runs fine on opening with 1920*1080 and most settings to the right (Autogen at Medium to low) with 20fps locked. (even with Orbx PNW installed) HIGHMEMFIX=1 mod has been applied. Tried uiautiomationcore.dll but makes no difference. Basically what happens is if I keep selecting the menu to change aircraft or graphics setting it eventually crashes when …

Hallo, nach einer Neu-Installation des FSX (WIN 7 x64) kann ich nicht mehr starten, lediglich der Default Trike fliegt wenn ich "FLY NOW" klicke. Bei allen anderen, auch Default-Flieger, wird das Bild ganz blass und dann kommen die Meldungen: "A fatal error occured..." und danach: " Der FSX wird neu gestartet". Kein weiterer Hinweis auf Fehlerquelle oder so. Und genau das war der Grund, warum ich den FSX neu aufgesetzt habe. Auf einer leeren, vorher formatierten Partition, mit eigenem WIN 7 x64. This may or may not be related to Windows 8.1 (x64 pro), though i didnt have this happen prior to doing the inplace upgrade to 8.1.. The particular case that replicates this is that if i'm sitting on the runway in NYC at KJFK (the addon for Manhattan X is active).. i'm running under DirectX 10.. If I hit reset flight.. midway it will crash fsx.. So far i've tried it without compatibility mode.. with win 7 compat. mode.. with win xp sp3 mode.. in all cases i dont run fsx.exe as administrator (uac on).. Hello. Today I bought the Active Sky 2012 addon for FSX. Excellent payware and Im really happy with it. BUT.. My last 3 flights after departure, I get a FATAL ERROR. And it closes after 3 seconds. Then I look at the Active Sky and it says FSX Connection not established, and then FSX restarts. That means that Active Sky restarts FSX because connection is not established.. What is this? I try to run Active as admin and try to refresh but nothing helps. Thanks in advance -Chris

Hello, I have been having this problem for almost this whole week and can not get rid of it. I've searched until the 10th page of Google, tried everything everyone has recommended on this issue and can still not fix it. I've tried already to reinstall my FSX, update my DirectX, update my graphics drivers, do a memory test (which came out with nothing), and I still can not get it to work. I installed the sweetfx thingy and ever since I did every time I click on a menu I get CTD.It happens if/when I try to pull up the fsx map to look up some ils freqs. I have to run and cannot test further but please confirm! Fully uninstall the current driver with the Catalyst Install Manager. Complete uninstall. Reboot then install this one. http://support.amd.com/en-us/download http://www2.ati.com/drivers/beta/amd_catalyst_13.11_betav8.exe I did 2 whole flights and changed planes within the sim several times and ended flights all normal. Here's a report generated by "WhatIsHang", 10 minutes into a flight from PANC to KSEA. I had AS2012, FSinn, Vatsim, Ultimate Terrain X running, and was using the PMDG 777, as I usually do. I was using an average of 2.5 gigs of the available VAS limit of 4 gigs, and had VC frame rates of 50fps. The CPU and GPU were both running no higher than 50% on average and there was no CPU temp problem. Recently, I completed an 11+ hour flight from KDEN to RJAA using all the same parameters and programs, with no freezes at all. I have the UI Automation core, and highmemfix installed. When I'm through flying I shut down FSX and then FSRealWX. I always get the message that FSRealWX is not responding and I then shut it down using the Task Manager. Not a big deal really, but it bothers me. Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it? Thanks for any forthcoming help.

Hello, I ve been having problems with some of the DDIs in the F18. Sometimes when I press the SQL button or the ACL button FSX crashes to desktop. Any way to remedy this? Is this a known problem? Thanks

I am hoping that someone will be able to assist me. I am a long time FSX user. Having said that, I am not a computer wizard. I just like to sit and play the sim. Recently my computer crashed, so I had one built that would run the sim. I had them use the old windows 7 operating system as I heard compatibility issues with window 8. They used the old hard drives from my old computer ( I had 3). I use one drive solely for my FSX. When I installed FSX I had a lot of trouble activating it, but eventually it worked. Now here is my issue. When I open the sim, the screen with all the available aircraft shows up. Some of the default planes will not load when I choose it.…

Hi, Recently, when I've tried to launch FSX, I get a fatal error message(BEX module unknown). I've tried doing a repair using the FSX DVD but it doesn't give me a repair option, it simply says removing files, copying new files, asks for disk 2 then part way through disk 2 I get an error message saying can't install smart installer. I checked my file structure and smart installer is already there. Is there any way I can copy certain folders(Sim Objects, Modules, Gauges, Add-On Scenery, Scenery)so when I uninstall, I won't have to reinstall all my add-on aircraft, add-on airports, add-on scenery etc. Refer to my system specs/info. I recently installed the Catalyst 13.9 drivers. As with everyone else, I get a crash to desktop when trying to start Free Flight mode using DirectX 9. Instead of rolling back to 13.4, I simply enabled DirectX 10 Preview. Now, FSX loads, and I can fly around as before. Using menus doesn't break it, at least so far. DirectX 10 might not be as efficient as DirectX 9, but it's a lot easier than rolling back to 13.4, and doesn't put other games (or the computer in general) at risk. So I am curious: why are people recommending a rollback to 13.4? Why not simply switch to DirectX 10, at least until we get a Catalyst version that works? Are some people having …

Hi Im having this annoying CTD hopefully someone can help me. After an hour in flight FSX freezes and I cant do anything. If I do Ctrl+Alt+Del then FSX quits and displays the Fatal error message. I didn't know which forum was appropriate since this is a CTD and a Multiplayer VATSIM issue. I will let the Moderators decide. Here's the problem. I am now ready to fly on VatSIM. So I installed FSINN and FSCOPILOT per the instructions on how to get up and running successfully on a Windows 7 system. There are two problems now. 1) If I try to load any flightplan, and it asks if I want the plane to be moved to the new location... if I click YES I get an instant Fatal Error CTD. Hello, up until yesterday FSX had been running rather well, when I fired up FSX today for a KMCO- KEGE route I had a black screen where the aircraft usually spins, when I went to start the flight it would start loading somewhere around 90% and freeze at 100%, from there FSX goes unresponsive to all commands and has to be closed through task manager, this problem has persisted through several FSX restarts, a re-install of SP1 and SP2 and an FSX repair cycle.
