In December I bought the GTX970 graphics card from msi. Ever since I bought it after a while my monitor would go black and then come back with a message saying display driver has stopped responding and successfully recovered causing my fsx to black screen then crash. I have downloaded all the correct and up to date drivers for the graphics card from the Nvidia website. It keeps happening, please help!

Desperately need some help on this one. I usually keep my FSX SP2 installation as neat and tidy as I can (fewest tweaks required to remain stable and look good), and I've been pulling my hair out the last week. I was a fan of SweetFX previously and am trying to use it in my install of FSX SP2 with DX10 (Steve's Fixer). I've had DX10 working very stable along with Using ReShade 1.1.0/SweetFX 2.0.7 using the d3d9.dll module. Very balanced settings so I rarely come within 1 GB of 4 GB of VAS usage (except maybe right on landing rollout) and hold 24-30 FPS in almost all scenarios. Strange CTD Problem recently. Have been using P3D 3.1 for a while without any problem, hardware`s strong, everything running well and smooth on win8.1 64bit. Yet from a certain moment on, whenever I try to change anything in settings something strange happens. Going into settings, change something, exit via either ok or cancel button, and P3D Stops Working. Going into settings, touch nothing, exit via OK button: Stop Working. I have been mightly impressed with p3d v3 and 3.1 thus far. I have been running both since the launch of v3 and not had any issues at all, simming has been about flying not tweaking, which has been great. Unfortunately very recently OOM's have started appearing. Now I thought this may have been because I was starting to push things too far, but I haven't made any significant changes in my scenery or graphics settings recently. Anyway I decide to monitor my vram usage and for some reason the errors are happening when I still haave 400-500mb in vas left. I have Windows 10. It started when FSX wouldn't start because it needed Direct X. I downloaded an electronic flight bag , with that problem I un-installed it. I downloaded an A2A Updater which in the download was the Direct X. So, after that , I no longer got a Direct X pop up. Now I'm getting a fatal error message with FSX shutting down. In compatibility mode I , have administrator rights. I put my FSX disc. in to repair ( used 2 of the discs. ) I have the Acceleration , but it did not ask for the third disc. That didn't work. I downloaded a uiAutomationCore dll , but that didn't work either. Any ideas of what can be tried next ? Thank you

It doesn't crash just minimizes! after clicking the icon on the task bar around 10 times FSX opens up in paused mode and when un-paused the flight continues from where it left off with no problems. It seems like something is overriding FSX causing it to minimize but I cannot find out why. Im running windows 10 and have checked what programs are running and if I require any updates which I don't. After a 4 hour flight i switched on the dome light and it crashed straight to the desktop with no Prepar3D has stopped working. No report in the event viewer or the appcrash! Not sure why this has happened? Bad install of the 737 NGX ?

Hello Fellow simmers Just got a question. I have installed Aerosoft German Landmark x however when I go to programme the GPS eg I click the D with the arrow through it then when I click the gps knob to enter a destination I get a Fatal error. Does anyone know how to fix this problem. Ive un-installed the scenery now and no fatal error when I touch the gps. It looks a great addon but no good if I cant fly with it. I dont have German VFR airfields. If anyone has had this problem and solved it , I would appreciate how it was fixed.

problem: Majestic aircraft "only" external view of aircraft appeared as skeleton...I was advised by Majestic support to erase everything from the "shader" and "shader10" folders, which I did... Then after rebooting fsx, the window where the aircraft appear was solid black...I could see the various aircraft so I chose the Majestic Q400...The screen was totally black, but I could hear the engines running... I did a repair with FSX deluxe 2 disks...When I attempted to access fsx, I received a fatal error and fsx closed...] Anyone know how to correct this problem...I am not a computer geek, but can follow instructions... Hello everyone, So, about 1 week ago, I installed SweetFX. Didn't work correctly, so I uninstalled it. As soon as I uninstalled, FSX began crashing, saying that "SortWindows61.dll" was the issue. I reinstalled, kept happening. Reinstalled again, now it doesn't crash, but it hangs on the splash screen. Since this is a fresh install, it needs to generate the config, but when it hangs (always), it never fully creates it. It only generates about 3 lines. In Task Manager, when it hangs, FSX is shown as taking up 0% CPU, 25-60MB of memory, and 0% disk. Currently reinstalling as I post this. Any help appreciated! Hello back. W10Pro, FSX-SE Everything was working fine but now something have triggered issues. First of all Ezdok stopped working properly. Ezdok starts with FSX but cameras won't change and no dynamics effect (posted this issues in Ezdok forum as well). Second - Virtual CDU does not work anymore. Unfortunately I haven't been able to complete a long flight in prepar3d V3 because a couple of hours in, sometimes even sooner, the game just freezes. Freezes so bad I can't cont+alt+del to get to the task manager, can't do anything to close the program. I literally have to do a hard reboot of my PC. On short flights it's ok, as long as I'm present the whole time and looking around and what not. I'm almost always using my PMDG 777, and have ASN and Rex 4+soft clouds. Any ideas on what causes this?
