When i am flying in fsx, fsx closes down to the desktop and it is paused and althogh it can be unpaused it becmoes annoying as i cannot leave my computer doing long haul and it does it a few times and then locks up i run dsx in compatabilty mode for windows xp service pack 2 in windows 10 my computer specs: GeForce GT 610,AMD A10-7700k Radeon R7, 10 Computer Cores 4c+6G,8.00 GB RAM(7.94 usable)

While most of my aircraft (default, payware and freeware) work splendidly in FSX Steam Edition, I have experienced FSX CTDs whenever I try to load a freeware aircraft that includes the file "GPWS_Sound.gau". When I get rid of the file, the aircraft works great. I have discovered however that it's not enough to remove this file from the panel folder of the freeware aircraft in question. The lines referring to it in the aircraft's panel configuration file also have to be deleted. Otherwise there will still be a crash. Hey guys, I have already posted in the P3D forum but thought I may also be able to get some help here. I recently purchased, downloaded and installed P3D v3 Academic, without any noticeable errors or issues. I went to run it for the first time, and the splash screen appears for a few minutes. But then it suddenly crashes to desktop and a 'fatal error occurred'. 24 hours ago all was fine, but suddenly every flight I (try to) make ends with a CTD. The CTD comes before I push back, as I am preparing the aircraft for departure. This is at different airports with different planes... I wonder if the reports from Event Viewer, below, give any clues? Running P3Dv3 on a fairly high end PC (6700, 16gb memory and x2 980Ti cards) and have started getting some OOM errors since I installed a few adds - including 737NGX, orbx (global, vector, a few different airports), MT6, Active Sky Next - I typically get the errors not on every flight but occasionally usually at busy airports flying the 737 - have never had them before so just wondering if there is any way to minimise them? (note I do have many of my settings maxed out but frames are usually ok typically 20-50fps depending on the situation - also running it on a 4k monitor) Any help appreciated.....

I dont know where to post this as Im not sure if its hardware related. Yesterday I applied new thermal paste and cleaned the PC . Directly after that I started getting crashes eg FSX,firefox, Running vector tool CTD So I restored fsx -se from 3 different back ups and all 3 are crashing which makes me believe its a hardware problem so I tested the RAM sticks separately and Im getting the same crashes on both Ram sticks however memtest shows them both okay. I tested my 2 SSD's with crystal and they are good I dont have a clue whats going on..

I have had FSX:SE for awhile now after wanting to try a different platform from X-Plane.. I bought and installed FSX:SE, and messed around in it for a few days. I ended buying the Embraer E-jets addon and messed around in that. Then one day I wanted to play FSX when I got this error: "Failed to start game (unknown error)." I have uninstalled and reinstalled the sim numerous times without any luck. If you know how to fix this issue, please let me know! Thanks, Ben

Since 3.2 RemoteFlightServer, which connects with FSUIPC and sends data to the RemoteFlight app running instruments on my iPad, has been crashing. Sometimes it coincides with a full crash of P3D, but most often not. Sometimes it goes hours without a problem, and sometimes it's more persistent. Below are the event details. Hello, I have had a number of issue since moving over to 3.2, yesterday was an OOM error which i think was caused by having to many airport add-ons enable while coming into land at London Luton (accidentally had EGLL, EGKK, EGLC, EGSS enabled). Retried the same flight today taking off from Nice and within 5 minutes of gear up, P3d hanged. Now I have been reading up and managed to install AppCrashViewer. I really am not sure what I am looking at. Would someone be kind enough to have a look through the report and point me in the right direction? Hello everyone, I have been having trouble with my p3d all of a sudden it just started closing randomly. I click on it running it as admin and the splash screen appears for a while before closing. When I say closing I mean it doesnt show up as not responding and there isnt anything in the log, please help.

The problem I have is when FSX starts you get that first screen. Then the second screen starts this is when the problem happens. As it starts it disappears and FSX does not start. Any idea what is going on? Ken

I was operating a flight recently, when FSX decided to CTD. Ever since, I have not been able to startup FSX normally. The loading screen appears, I get a few errors about missing scenery (what I always have), and then I get a prompt telling me that FSX has stopped working. I have tried the following things: - Reinstalling FSX in its entirety (also as an admin) - Deleting the logbook - Altering API.dll - Deleting all my addons (including aircraft, land textures and addon airports) - Verifying the intergrity cache - I have looked at my Scenery.cfg: only the default scenery is in there..... A couple of weeks ago I uninstalled my Horizon Gen X Scottish scenery from my c: drive and reinstalled on my second drive to free up space on the C: FSX started crashing every time I loaded a flight even if it wasn't in Scotland. I uninstalled all of my Horizon, UK2000 and Earth Simulations photo scenery, but FSX still crashed when loading a flight. Hi there! I don´t know if this is the correct subforum, but somehow I think some feature of my Win7 Home Premium 64bit is deleting files. Or is my SSD dying? I´ve never had something like this before. I have an all SSD setup, the first SSD contains Windows and FSX, the second one P3D. I noticed 2 weeks ago, that some gadgets of my Logitech G19 LCD display were gone. I noticed it, but didn´t care too much, so I haven´t investigated any further. IT took me three month to upgrading my pc to HIGH END with GPU Titanx CPU i7-5960X and installed P3d v3.2 with out any problem. Finally I said to my self I have everything, now I can fly with PMDG 77X . Wow how was I wrong . First flight: I loaded P3D 3.2 with 2.8 GB available VAS. When 777X was ready to leave gate my VAS reduced to 600MB. At cruise I got OOM. Second flight t reduced the settings ,I got another OOM Third flight: I selected small air port with less scenery, it didn't make any difference OOM Forth Flight : chanced to PMDG 737 OOM. fifth flight: MJC800Q400 : OOM

I load a2a piper and was going to fly a VFR flight. I use this weather engine http://www.plane-pics.de/fsxwx/home.htm. I always connect it and it work fine. But today it says FSUIPC connection falied. I tried to re-install FSUIPC but now p3d crash on startup. Never have this problem before. Same FSUIPC work yesterday but not know it don't. And when I disable FSUIPC in the .dll file p3d work agian. But I need FSUIPC to get the weather engine work. Any idea how to fix it

After flying close to 7hrs with the 737NGX and latest P3D V3.2 i got that crash came AFTER i closed down ASN, ezdok, quite scoop (vatsim) and Vpilot. I have my traffic x disabled in scenery library so it can't be ai traffic? I only use it for model matching in vpilot. Anyone got an idea why i got this crash after shutting down those apps?

I had a BSOD in the middle of descent on a 45 minute flight, I wasn't tabbing in and out of the sim or anything at all. Just watching the aircraft descend and BAM. BSOD. Specs in Sig, PMDG Ngx, ASN, UT2, REX (textures only), FSDT and Flightbeam, EzDok. Note this is not a regular crash, I have seen the IRQL before but its random and only about 2 times or so a month, maybe 3 if I am on the sim a lot.
