FS2CREW: DEFAULT AND PMDG 737 (FS9)

  1. Started by aikichris,

Quick question......I have loaded FS2Crew default 737 to my PC, and think it is a great programme. Is it still possible to use the default 737 in its original form? When I load it directly, or load the flying lessons using the 737 I get all the FS2Crew sub pages coming up.I know that to use the FS2Crew programme the default 172 has to be initially loaded, shut down then the aircraft changed to 737 etc, but my question relates to the usage of the 737 as the original FS2004.I have FS2Crew lite for the Cessna 172, but provided that I don't activate it, can still use the 172 as before. Thanks for any advice!Cheers,

Hope someone can help.I just downloaded the 737 default FS2 Crew programme, and everything seems to be working well - but the inputed text which is in the pop up windows is really faint.By that I mean the values which you enter like the FL and v speeds etc - any suggestions?Cheers!

Dear sirs,I just bought your Fs2crew for above mentioned types. At first the different pages left a flickering black spot in my cockpit but now I do not even get so far. Everytime I try to load the 800 or 900 FS9 crahes after the well known polite appologies of MS.Could you please tell me what I've done wrong. By the by downloaded the program with the downloader as recomended.rgds,Pieter

I have assigned the correct keys for stair operation ie ctrl+F9/10 and the stairs work. But after starting FS2Crew and after the doors have been closed I cannot get the stairs to retract, so I am stuck with the stairs down. They work perfectly well prior to starting FS2Crew, am I missing something?Regards JohnT

Hi Everyone, just a quick question. I am reading the manual whilst fumbling alog.So far I can get most if down pat except when it comes to the Departure Briefing. Where does the "SID" get read from? If I do a departure from YSSY 34R, there's no briefing for it. The only briefing I can get anything for id 34L, so there is also nothing for 16R or 16L.Wayne

I have the PMDG -600, -700, -800, -900 and the PMDG747. I have no problem with FS2crew for the 747, My version of the -700 is 1.3. I downloaded, purchased and installed file FS2Crew_737_Pro_SA plus the one upgrade.I booted up the default Cessna shut it down but left the Avionics switch on as stated in the installation. I did not slew the Cessna.I then changed aircraft to the PMDG -700, no slewing, and all the pages appeared momentarially as stated in the installation. It added the icon to the instrument panel just above the PMDG icons. Problems:I click on the F icon and no FMC appears, nothing happens.I can shift+6 and the FMC pops up. I click on the O for the overhead an…

Bryan:Hi. I'm the proud owner of FS2Crew 767 and ATR Editions and love them. My question, however, has to do with the 737 Default/PMDG edition which I don't own.My little brother (he's not so little, actually) is still a relative newb to flightsimming: mostly flying "light" commercial jet packages instead of the more complex ones (i.e., PMDG, LDS, PSS, etc.) as well as the default aircraft. He really finds FS2Crew rather fascinating every time he sees me fly with it; however, he's also indicated it's a bit too complex for him at this stage. I told him there was an edition for the default 737, which he flies, so we took a look at the website pages on it, but really didn't …

Bryan,Being the idiot that I am i didn't realise that my FS2Crew was not fully up to date.I installed the service packs today and the CPAL buttons are now located just below the engine start ignition switch in the VC.However, only the 'C' and the 'P' button are functioning, there does not seem to be any clickspot for the 'A' and 'L' buttons. Any idea why this might be happening or how i can remedy it?many thanksAlan

Hi,I am currently an owner of the PMDG 737NG 600-700 package. While I have enjoyed flying the 600-700, I am considering purchasing FS2CREW PMDG to enhance the flight realism. With that, my understanding is that I should purchase the FS2Crew PMDG 'NON 800-900' version. However, there is a good posibility I will purchase PMDG 800-900 sometime in the near future. If I should purchase FS2Crew 'Non 800-900' now, would I still have a viable upgrade path to work with the 800-900?? I would hope that I wouldn't have to purchase --both-- versions of FS2Crew PMDG 737.Thanks for your help on this.orbmis

Hi Bryan,I read in the PMDG forum that PMDG is not going to update the 737 forFSX. They are going to redevelope the 737 as a new package for FSX.How is that going to affect FS2Crew. Not good news as we will have topurchase this new package if we update to FSX.

CPAL isn't working (800/900). I tried everything I could from service packs to reinstalls. Also everything from the FAQ. The CPAL Will not respond to clicks. I also tried opening the starting box "Config" through the Views. It worked alittle that way, but some buttons didn't respond to mouse clicks either. such as Before taxi options and Before Take etc didn't repond either etc etc. If their is another solution, fill me. if not, so be it.

Hi, new to this forum but not to FS9. Am very interested in purchasing FS2crew to add some more realism to PMDG 737 flying. I also like the look of FSpassenger - i realise these are 2 different programmes but i was wondering if the 2 are compatible for use on the same flight? Many thanks and hope to be an FS2crew owner by tomorrow,Jim

OK, that title is meant to attract the attention. Lets call it an attention grabing title. No offence intended to the Yanks for this post, so here goes. Is there anybody out there ready to create a new set of voice commands for the 737 series? Would FScrew be prepared to offer this as an update? I for one would purchase such an update, as i empathise that the time of a professional pilot is very valuable.Kind regards David

I just uninstalled FS2Crew for PMDG 700/800. Disappointed would be an understatement. After one impressive flight from SFO to LAX I thought it was great, it was a nice enhancement to realism for me. However, it turned out to be a touchy and bafflingly tempermental bit of software.1. You cannot simply load a saved flight with all the saved configurations and/or location. For those of you that like to fly to an airport, debark passengers, shutdown the aircraft and then save the configuration... don't bother. You can't restart saved flights. Every flight has to be created from scratch with the Cessna. If you don't, FS2Crew is likely to crash FS9.2. Even if you do run …

hi, OK, we know that arming the auto throtle will give us the departure anoucment and relevent checks. What happens when during the departure brief, the Captain selects No Auto Throtle? This means that we don`t press the A/T prior to our To The Line Checks? So what triggers the relevent checks that would usually take place, and of course if we dont let the cabin crew know that we are about to depart, then Health & Saftey are going to swarm over your virtual ####! Hope that made some sense, hey Brian! lolRegards David

Hi guys, has any one been able to resize the menus for FS-Crew, or even set them at the bottom of the screen? I know i can make smaller, and drag the windows, but i would much rather not have to. If its important, my resolution is set to 1280x1024CheersDavid

Hello,I currently own the FS2Crew for LDS 767 and PMDG 737NG. Must say, they are absolutely fantastic products. I won't even think of flying these complex aircraft without this add-on anymore! My question is: will the FS2Crew for the default 737-400 work with Feelthere's 737-300 PIC product? It states on your website that it will work with other freeware 737's, but has it been tested at all with the Feelthere product? Thank you,Marc

I just splurged and got FS2Crew for the PMDG 737 series. I've only done one flight and I can't express how much greater it is to fly this way. The only quirk I've found in my copy is that the CPAL buttons (noted in the FS2Crew Main Ops Manual on page 15) are not showing at all in my VC. Everything else works great. Since I do like to fly from the VC every once and a while, I'd love to have the CPAL buttons available. Thanks,JoshuaP.S. All PMDG updates and FS2Crew updates are installed.

Hey folks,I have a slight hitch with my FS2Crew, it has worked fine up til now, I did a flight a few days ago where I did not require a pushback (first time I have done a flight where I did not require a pushback). I followed all the checks and instead of a pushback I informed the ramp that the engine start was complete and that he was clear to disconnect..this flight went without a hitch...however, and here is my problem, all subsequent flights I have undertaken where I have required a pushback I'm not given one, I have the pushback distance set and the turn angle set also but the guy on the ramp just keeps telling me to inform him when the engines are started, thus not …

I installed FS2Crew and a couple things seem odd.1. When I start ALL of the FS2Crew screens are open. Is there a way to start with only the first screen?2. After I've gone through the "walk around acceptance" checklist (I call it that because I don't know what else to call it, I'm a virgin at this)... I get to the engine start check list and the copilot tells me that we've NOT done the "walk around" checklist. We've already done it, but I've got to do it again before the copilot seems satisfied. Is he anal about checklists or am I missing something simple? Thanks,Joel
