FS2CREW: DEFAULT AND PMDG 737 (FS9)

  1. Bonjour Sebastien,Interesting issue with the French keyboard. Why a French keyboard doesn't like you holding down the shift and control key at the same time and then pressing 6 or 7 is very strange. At any rate,First, backup your PMDG keyboard .ini file.Second, I've never added keypresses directly via the .ini file, so this is uncharted waters for me.Here's are the relevant sections from my .ini file:MCP Increase Speed Fast=1,81,47MCP Decrease Speed Fast=1,87,48Autobrakes Increase Pos=6,54,99Autobrakes Decrease Pos=6,55,100Try them and let me know if they work ok. The FO should set the Autobrake to RTO during his Receiving A/C flow.Let me know if he does that.A bientot,B…

Hi Tony, you didn't read the manual carefully enough. You REALLY have to start the flightsimulator with the Cessna, then stop the engine, turn of the battery, pull out the mixture but turn on the avionics master! I tried it also with the method you used and got the same result... ;-).

Hi James, think you have to push the TO/GA button as you are PF during a precision approach. When performing a monitored approach where the FO is the PF he will initiate the go around and push the TO/GA button himself when passing the DH and you don't take control.

Hi Jose, you should have read another post below. You didn't read the manual carefully enough. I tried it also with the method you used and got the same result...:-) .

Hello Bob,I'll do my best to answer your questions:1. It's hard to explain without showing you, but the FO's mouse clicks are done on "mini" copies of the various panels used. So if you put the Overhead on a second monitor it should cause no problems as the FO does not essentially click the main Overhead panel. The mini-panel, however, will pop up on your main monitor in the bottom right hand corner. Make sense?Note however that FS2Crew will not work with WideFS.2. The Mini-Panels can in theory be resized and the FO clicks will still work, but you won't need to do that. They're already as small as I can make them. Any smaller and you run the risk of the FO missing mo…

I Ron,could you please state the exact kind of error that occurs? Does FS shut down without any error report or is there a certain module or gauge which causes the CTD and which is shown by a flightsimulator error report?

From my understanding, it is a lot of weight, balance, and range issues as well...I was originally under the impression that it would work with just the 600/700 as well. But I got a nice little embarassment when I was accepted on to the beta test team and didn't have the 800/900 upgrade ;)

Hello Steve,Start over from what point?Just to be on the safe side and to ensure everything resets properly, if you want to re-start, I suggest loading the Cessna again, shutting it down as per the manual, then re-loading the PMDG again. That way you can be 100 percent certain that everything will reset properly and be ok.Cheers, Bryan

Hello VOR,You can't use FDC and FS2Crew together at the same time. The results would be very bizarre to say the least.FS2Crew comes with all the checklists (audio and paper) necessary to fly the NG properly. This version of FS2Crew was specifically built just for the 737NG, and as such it models 737NG procedures very well. You won't be dissapointed.A LOT of people have purchased FS2Crew. I'm quite frankly amazed by the numbers. It really blew me away. I'm getting a lot of positive feedback from a lot of them. All the best,Bryan

Hello Henrik,That is truly bizarre. Sounds like you got a corrupt download somehow.Did you download directly off the Flight1 Server? (Direct download).Or did you use the Flight1 Resumable Downloader?I suggest you use the Resumable Downloader. It'll check to see if your download somehow got corrupt in the download process.-Bryan

Hello Randy:Thank you for the kind words!Just consider yourself lucky I didn't make the FO a Co-Captain. That would have really drove you nuts as then he'd argue about everything you're doing.Getting the PNF/PM to tune the radios is something I've been thinking about. It's a very complex thing to code properly though. The PNF/PM will ident the navaids during his Approach flow (you'll hear the morse code).Bryan

  21. Hello Eric,This is straight from the Flight1 Website:"Question: I still do the above, but nothing happens or I get an error.Answer: Make sure no virus scanners or disk utilities are running. These utilities can interfere with creation of the new exe file. If you want to scan the file before installing the software, you can select No when asked if you want to automatically run the software after the extraction process. Then you can manually scan the extracted file in the C:[Company Here] folder using your virus scanner."I suggest downloading again before trying that. Did you do a Direct Download or use the Resumable Download Tool?Try the Resumable Download tool. Make sur…

Hello Bruce,Thank you for your interest in the product.1. Dual Monitor problems: It seems that a workaround has been devised. See the pinned thread on top. It involves switching to full screen mode before loading the PMDG.I'm not satisified with that however so I'm still running trouble-shooting tests to determine the true source of the problem. In all your years with two monitors, have you ever experienced a problem like this?2. Frame rate issues: It's a true mystery, A LOT of people have purchased FS2Crew. I'm quitely frankly pleasantly shocked by the positive response. Only a few people have reported frame rate problems. My personal feeling right now is that they a…

Hi Jonathan, just to make it clear, you really started the PMDG as explained in the manuals after you prepared the Cessna and NOT via a self created Cold and Dark situation, right? If yes, you maybe missed to install the service update 1.1 for the PMDG 737-800/900 from http://www.precisionmanuals.com/html/downloads.htm . This would explain your problems with the electrical panel as it happened to another user.

Hi,Thanks, glad you like it!You need to add new PMDG keyboard assignments for the Autobrake. The assignments are listed in the "Keyboard Assignments" manual and in the "Main Ops" manuals. Shortcuts to these manuals can be found in:Start Menu/Program Files/FS2Crew section.Start Menu = the button in the bottom left corner of your Desktop window.Don't forget to add the PMDG Keyboard Assignments for the MCP Increase/Descrease Speed functions, too.Cheers,Bryan

Hello Jeroen,Thank you for the kind words.1. Smoking Sign... You could shut it off during the Termination checklist if you want.2. Taxi lights: The only time the FO will flip them on is during his After Landing flow.3. Wing and Nav lights: You control them. You should turn on the Nav lights when you're powering the AC with the APU. The FO is still out doing his walkaround at this point.4. Strobe Lights: FO does controls them.5. You're right about the spoilers: I came across some funny things with them. I'll see what I can do about that.6. Cabin announcement. They can't be heard directly from the cockpit. However, what I may do is give you the option to "listen in" on…
