I have created a backup forum for Avsim to use during the race in the event that these forums are down or are behaving erratically as they have been recently. Can all members of the Avsim team make sure they pay it a visit and get registered so they have an account ready just in case its needed. The address is http://www.avsimrtwr.freeforums.org/Please take a look around and let me know if you think any of the settings need adjusting or you think something needs adding. It doesn't work quite the same as these ones, but i think it will certainly be ok for our needs.I can add extra forums if needed, including a backup home for the other teams if they need it.Gary can you st…

The RTWR Executive Committee today announces the 2010 Flight Simulator Around-The-World Race. It is our pleasure to invite the same teams that made last year's race our most competitive ever to join us again in 2010; pilots who competed with the now-defunct FS-MP.com will be competing from their new home at iFlyOnline.com. Any interested pilots should visit the discussion forums of the team of their choice for information on joining and guidance on preparation for the race. Team members and others may contact the Executive Committee via the Contact page on www.fsrtwrace.com with any questions. See you in February!-----------------------------------------------------------…

In an effort to improve the 2010 RTWR, we are soliciting feedback on the rules via our forum. A poll has been posted asking whether pilots prefer simple rules or variety in the race. Please visit http://www.fsrtwrace.com/forum.htm to share your thoughts and preferences. Thanks!Matt

I will be out of town this weekend, but we need to start having some practices with real time baton transfers. I will be putting together a flight list for on your own practices and post some bridge and corridor legs from years past.I had an inquiry from an old FS-MP flyer from last year and asked that he post in the forum here. I guess they are no more.

I have been busy in the real world, which has kept me away from the sim. Just over 2 months until we defend the championship.

A Trio of new Eaglesoft FSX Citation X's (V2.0) tonite on the Buzz Server (thanks Harvey & Bry for the "Dual Given"). No Duenna to post Buzz but... I had intended on doing the "practice flight" out of Little Rock, Arkansas to Van Nuys, CA but decided to divert to Indianapolis. (images on Photobucket)

I stayed up way too late so I could get started early on the recreation of the London to Melbourne MacRobertson race over at Sim-Outhouse.Flying Milton Shupe's Spartan via ADF Navigation. Navigation was not too bad on the first leg through the middle of Europe. It gets much more challenging later on. There is also a GA Category if anyone wants to take that on.
