Some time spent on the Buzz Server (thanks Buzz) with Dino Cattaneo's most excellent T-45C Goshawk for FSX using (the now defunct?) Topgun Simulations "Day Traps" Mission. Dino's T-45C is freeware and makes a terrific addition to one's stable. Outstanding plane to practice your carrier traps. http://indiafoxtecho...rch/label/T-45C http://www.microsoft...imulations.aspx

Hello Team Avsim!First of all congratulations with another RTW Race Victory. 39 minutes!! :( I thought it was close back in 2007 :(Might be jumping back into FS9 again :( Unless I somehow find renewed interest in World of Warcraft. Finally built myself a new desktop after the old one died just before last years race. At least it didn't die in the middle of the race, leaving you guys with an unreliable MP and Voice server.Haven't touched anything FS related since. Probably forgot a load of stuff, like all the tweaks and what addon should be above and below.Anyways....just saying "hi" to the old guys.JT

Third leg of the race leg of the race, Jock baton holder with myself as wingman. A miserable rainy afternoon soon turned into clear skies and a beautiful trip down from Guyana through Surname and French Guiana to the far north of Brazil. It was soon apparent that my Hornet was a lot faster than Jocks Tigercat and he soon disappeared from view. After a quick descent and 10 miles out from the airport the word came over the airvwaves that Jocks plane was down (computer crash) leaving me a little heart stopping moment as my leg suddenly becomes really important. But a nice smooth landing and quick changeover was satisfying. Only a little time lost due to my superior speed so n…

Hi everyone,It is 1500 UTC and the 2011 Kickoff Event, Operation Pina Colada, is now officially underway. If you like, you may set your Duenna to "2011 rtw operation pina colada" in order to track your flight. Please do NOT check the box "Baton-carrier or wingman?"In any case, each team must keep track of their many flights and textfile authentications on a separate thread on its own forum.Best of luck to all the teams and pilots in this year's race!GoMatt SmithIan DaleMike MacKuenReggie FieldsRob IbeyMake your first post as a reply to this thread and have fun !!!

Hi everyone,It is 1600 UTC and the 2011 Around-The-World Race is now officially underway. As per the provisions of the Special Rules, you may begin at Saint Maarten (TNCM) for your journey around the world and back. Please remember to setup your Duenna with a check mark on "Enable online flight tracking" and pick the proper event: "2011 rtw race official tracking"You also need to use the "Baton-carrier or wingman" check box if flying in that role.Congratulations to all the teams for the bonuses earned in the Kick-Off Event. We hope it was interesting and challenging to coordinate the flights.Best of luck to all the teams and pilots in this year's race!GoMatt SmithIan DaleM…

Minor updates and corrections to both the General Rules and 2011 Special Rules and their FAQs have now been posted. Pilots who were previously confused by particular points should recheck the rules for clarification. Substantive changes have not been made; we have simply updated the documents to be clearer and, where errors were noted, fixed the errors.Notices to Airmen for the 2011 RTW Race may be found here: http://www.fsrtwrace.com/2011RTWRNOTAMs.pdfFinally, team briefing committees have been issued passwords for the briefing sheet system and allowed to unlock one continent.Best of luck!
