If you have not looked at the program - I recommend you download and examine Plan-G by Tim Arnot - http://www.taosoft.co.ukIt offers some very interesting options - works much like FS-Nav which is no longer available for new users - works with both FS2004 and FSX.Plan-G also can be run and flight plans created/ tweaked without starting up Flight Sim.

Hello all!I'm actually flying with Flightsim, but an idea occurred to me last night that I found intriguing. It's obviously too late to do anything now, but what if we were to float the idea of the RTW to the X-Plane folk once the race was over? That would give a year to find a solution that would allow them to do tracking, and then maybe in 2013 it would be not only which team would win, but which Sim as well. What do you think?

The fellows over at MRC Investigations have been at it again. We are making available a couple of documents that they have "found."Again, this appears to be a draft version of the RTWR 2012 rules, probably a nearly finished version given the numbering system. Also note that it appears to be missing some crucial information about the routing and the bonus airports. (Observe the ellipses "..." in the text.)You can retrieve the "found" documents attached to a post similar to this one--over at the SOH Multiplayer Forum here:http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/forumdisplay.php?6-Around-The-World-Race-Multiplayer-Events--Mike (for the Committee)

Hi , about 5 or 6 years ago my Brother Harvey ( Arrvoo ) told me about this little Race that he was joining , called the MS Round the World Race , and suggested I recruit . We both had lots of hours flying "offline" as a pleasant little hobby , occasionally together as a 2 man multiplayer , and he suggested that this race would be a great way to inject a "Buzz" into our little flying regime . He had just signed up for Avsim and suggested I do the same . Well TBH I had no idea what this race was about and only knew Avsim as a resource for some basic information about MS flight sim and some Freeware Aircraft . Although I had been flying around "virtually" since the very fir…

RTWR 2012 White List UpdateFebruary 8, 2012The deadline has passed and the Committee has considered new submissions for the White List of aircraft that will be eligible for the RTWR 2012. We also clarify the usage of an older FS9 model and a newer FS9 turboprop. We shall be happy to answer questions about what is now likely to be the finalized White List. Please let us know about issues as they come up. It is better to examine marginal matters now, before the race, than during the rush of events. The Wilco Avanti II (FS9- and FSX-native)Wilco Publishing Paywarehttp://www.wilcopub.com/catalog/product/view/id/5756/s/piaggio-p180-avanti-ii-promo-fsx-fs-2004/category/4/Two conf…

Hi all, consider the below as a brainstorm to get a more wider field of planes in the racehistorical races where not all about breakneck speed, but also about how much mail could be carried since mail and cargo was the reason for the excistense for aircraft operators.would it be nice to have this element been brought into the race, where as an amount of cargo gives the plane a bonus minutes?example how much cargo should be equal to minutesbreakneck speed fighter plane 200 miles at 10000 gives a travel time of 30 mincargo plane with 30 ton cargo gives travel time of 60 min difference = 30 min so each ton = 1 min per 200 milesif we repeat this for the mostpopular planes w…

In order to see the current progress clearly it is best to view in "Outline" mode . The following will ensure a nice clean forum to view :)1. Primary baton claimant replies to the main topic post . 2. Wingman claimant replies to the Primary baton post . 3. Primary baton releases by replying to their own Primary baton post . 4. Wingman releases by replying to their own Wingman post . The only exception is during a Wingman Baton Transfer . The Primary Baton holder releases baton to Wingman by replying to their Primary Baton post . The wingman releases the Baton by replying to the Primary baton post . Also remember to delete the "quote" before writing your post . Hopefully …

All,From time to time, some of the aircraft used in the race become unavailable to new race participants. This is normally due to the aircraft being discontinued by a developer (freeware or payware) and the model being withdrawn from distribution. Thus the aircraft no longer meets the historical requirement of "publicly available for download or purchase two weeks before the race starts".The Executive Committee has no desire to punish pilots who have legally downloaded or purchased aircraft for use in the race, but we must also maintain the ability for new pilots to compete on an equal footing. We cannot condone copyright violations of providing unlicensed copies of aircr…

The RTWR Executive Committee is willing to entertain proposals for additions to the 2012 White List. Time is short, however, so the number of proposals will have to be constrained. Further, proposals will have to be submitted by teams rather than individuals—with a limit of one or two per team. Given the time frame, only the most compelling submissions will have a good chance of acceptance. If you are interested, please read the description of proposal qualifications as well as of information gathering and testing procedures available here:http://www.mediafire...a5d95l3i6paak34We expect only a small number of proposals...at most. This message is posted at each of the three …
