Here's the panel.cfg file for the Wings of Power II P51D (Snooks).Make sure the following gauge file is in the main gauges folder:Beech_Baron.cabIt may already be there otherwise you'll find it in the Baron 58's panel folder.Let me know if this works for you (I may have the wrong file). Also, you'll have to rename the file and change the file type from txt to cfg - the forum software wouldn't let me upload a .cfg file.Good luck. :(

Hi guys,Being a Brit I'd like to have a British aircraft or two in my hangar for the race, as long as they are competitive, and I am contemplating getting the DH Hornet for FS9. I know at least a couple of you guys out there have it, I was wondering if I could get a few opinions / comments. The specs on the real aircraft suggest it should be up there with the P-51H and Do-335 for speed; does the FS model achieve these kinds of speeds? And how does it do for range? What is the VC like? I do most flying with TrackIR so that's quite important to me.I'd also welcome any comments about its general non-race flyability; I have always been a big fan of the Mosquito so I would pr…

Folks, I have created a flight plan into the Frank Church - River of No Return Wilderness in central Idaho based on the Orbx CRM scenery. Good for getting those rusty bush pilot skills back into A1 condition. Bry... this post is "aimed" particularly at you, but may be useful to anyone else desiring to "fix" the sound level of the A2A P-51D / H Flaps (so the sound is not so irritatingly grinding on one's nerves).Go to the [FLAPS] section of the appropriate plane's sound.cfg file. You will see this:[FLAPS]filename = Wop_p51_flapsflags = 0viewpoint = 1minimum_volume = 9200maximum_volume = 9200initial_volume = 9200Just replace min/max/init with this:minimum_volume = 8200 //9200maximum_volume = 8200 //9200initial_volume = 8200 //92008200 is the level I found to work for me... the //9200 won't be read but shows what the original value was. This eliminates having to edit the f…

Hey All, I'm wondering if we should work on some forum maintenance.. I see that the main forum has Sonar5 and Jeff as moderators and the private room has Jeff and Bry. Is Sonar5 coming back or should we have him removed? Also, I think we should get a list of everyone on the RTW race forum group who has access to the private room so we can remove former team members who are no longer with us. Thoughts/opinions?

Hi All, FlightSim.com is "hosting" The Bendix Trophy Race.Very simply, "Fly from Van Nuys, California ( KVNY ) to Cleveland, Ohio ( KCLE ) as fast as you can, using any surplus WWII US military aircraft, ie planes that were in use during WWII by US forces and sold as surplus, or in a P-80 Shooting Star". Your choice of routing... legs...Here's a chance to brush off those cobwebs... good RTWR practice. I don't believe the P-51 "H" model is allowed.Direct Distance is approx. 1775nm. I flew last nite as one leg with the P-51D and completed in less than 5hrs.Race Info: http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?238249-Bendix-Trophy-Dash!!!!

I thaught I'd give this a post as it is very well hidden in the new forums settings.. - Click on the "down arrow" just to the right of your account name ( upper right corner )- Select "My Settings"- Select the "Forums" tab- On the dropdown, "Topic Display Mode" select "Outline"You are now in the tree mode where as a baton holder you can reply the successful landing underneath the take-off post. The wingman can reply inside the baton holder's take off post. Nice and clean.Roman
