Based on last years routing requirements we continue on down into South America. We have to land at an airport in Paraguay and we have to get 2 airports below 40 Degrees South Latitude. After the initial legs I am choosing to make shorter legs for practice purposes. Makes it easier to move the baton if you don't have time to fly a full leg.As always, feel free to modify this as needed. It is just practice. Does anyone know how to view posts in "threaded mode" because I find the available "post" views for a Topic rather confusing and I cant see the routes when Baton post is posted :( I liked the linear view for a quick update of current progress and it is difficult to see who is replying to the main post and who replies to an individual post :)

I have devised a practice Route to try the route the race committee says would have won had any team attempted it last year. The route will head south down through Central America and TEGUCIGALPA - MHTG then on to Paraguay. These are full race legs from last year. Since this is practice, feel free to shorten the leg if you need/want to fly a shorter leg. Fly with real world weather, download winds aloft, and in real time just as you would in the race and make your baton posts here.My FS Host and Team Speak are up. PM me for details.KBFI - KLSCKSLC - KORWKORW - KBROKBRO - MMCEMMCE - MHTG

I read over on Sim-Outhouse that they were looking to start the race on Sunday the 15th. I think starting the race on a Sunday would really be unfair to those who are unable to take time off of work to race.Does anyone else have any thoughts or opinions on this?

FYIRob has constructed an excellent "mountain flying" challenge. Go to the SOH multiplayer forum and look for "Dr. House meets Smokey the Bear".http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/forumdisplay.php?f=6Best,Mike

Just a heads-up. Reggie is setting up a short General Aviation event that mimics the annual "Air Race Classic". This is not quite an all-out-speed race but more a matter of flight planning and precision flying. Tentatively set for mid-July.http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/forumdisplay.php?f=6Looks like Tom and Craig are already on to this. Others may be interested as well.Might be fun.Mike

Still not a bad effort. Just get a little better on not crashing next year and it is ours. That hour penalty for going over hurts now.
