I am trying to do repaints using DXTBmp + Photoshop. I am opening with DXT and transferring to editor (photoshop), doing my job and then saving out; reloading altered image and then saving from DXT. I am trying to get Logos for emblems etc. When I open a separate file (JPG/BMP) then copy/paste within photoshop everything is fine and I get a nice clear, sharp image. I then save out and reload with DXT (reload edited image) and again picture is fine and clear. But when I load in FSX it comes out as blurry and undefined!As an example only say I want to use a picture of Shania Twain.Can anyone advise what I am doing wrong?

I've been making a repaint of a PSS A330 with Avianca colors, using Photoshop. I had it very advanced, so I saved the file. ok i painted an overland 773er. I used the paintkit and it looks like one long fuselage with the tail attached, but in the texture folder the fuselage is split into sections. How do I get it into the split format?Thnx Ed

So I Was Up Late last night doing this repaint using FS Repaint! I Save it and this morning go into Flight sim and its not there the livery that i made a vaiation si there. It isnt. Any Sugjestions?Please Help.

Hi everbidey,I downloaded the POSKY CRJ-200 recently (crj200asa.zip), and as I was messing around with the tail textures to replace the "Skywest" logo with the old color "Delta" logo (solid dark blue tail background with white Delta font), I noticed that on the right side of the tail, the "Delta" font comes out backwards (or mirrored). Is there a correction for this? Is this the "Microsoft" problem I've read about in the past where the textures for both sides of tail are "shared?"Thanks for any constructive suggestions.4Deucer

hi all,hopefully somebody here will be able to help, and i'd sure be grateful for a little right now.I have a repaint that I'm working on, however the entire paint kit is over 4 files of only 1024x1024 each, all as their standard 32-bit BMP files from FS9. One of the files contains both sides of the fuselage and other miscellaneous wing/antenna items, but after scaling up to 2048x2048 to paint the detail work, and back down to 1024x1024 to fit the original file dimensions, all the detail goes to fuzz.I've read that its possible to edit the aircraft.mdl file to tell FS9 where to 'look' for the correct textures. So taking this on board, is it at all possible to edit the .md…

I'm painting a livery on the CLS DC10 public paintkit and want to see the livery I'm painting in FSX. If I want to see my paint job in FSX do I need to use a particular texture conversion utility to convert the paintkit to FSX texture files or do I just copy the public paintkit to the aircraft's texture folder?

I'm new to repainting, and am curious what the correct font to use in PSP for doing the blocky, yet rounded registrations most commonly used on US GA aircraft, especially those of the 1970-1980s.I searched another site and found Amarillo, which looks similar to most planes I've seen, but not quite right.I've attached a picture to illustrate what I'm talking about - any help would be appreciated.Thanks!

i would really like to start doing repaints on FS2004 and saw this program from abacus . does anyone knows if it is worth the 29$ for an absolute begginer ? does it make the whole process easier , from starting the repaint to installing it in FS2004 ?or should i just try with paint shop pro ( or another picture editor ) ?
