Hey there, my name is Darrell Hyde. I have done many repaints on avsim for fs2004. Me and a friend of mine have just started a new forum which will be part of a company called Project 7 Sim, it is a site that builds Airbus and Lockheed paintkits and repaints them to world wide colours. We are in the process of putting a website together where our downloads can be found. I am a complete moron apparently. I have read a LOT of tutorials...but then I read where color replacement wont work in bmp's!What I am trying to do is repaint NWA A319,332,333 and 744's into Delta 07 colors. I really want to do this myself, but I am at the point of just asking someone to repaint them...someone please help!

Seems I'm a little late to the party with the HTAI Cessna single-engine prop kit for FS2004 as it's been out quite a while and their forums aren't taking new registrations, but I'm working on AI flight plans for the bush airlines out here in the Lower Kuskokwim Delta of south west Alaska and have moved on to aircraft repaints.I've completed a couple of repaints for the Cessna 208B Grand Caravan (will try posting them later as they're on my other computer), but can't for the life of me find the Cessna 206 or 207 paint kits. The HTAI website says all the paint kits are available in the file libraries here, but I've spent hours looking for them here and on other sites across…

Hello,I'm fairly new to the whole painting 'thing' and have become stuck whilst using paintkits. Most paintkits contain a file which has the whole fuselage seciton on display to make painting easier. So how do you split these into smaller sections to use on the aircraft? E.G Project Airbus paintkit has a file called A320_fuse_full.psd however the fuselage textures are A320_fuse_1, A320_fuse_2 and A320_fuse_3.How do i go about splitting A320_fuse_full to A320_fuse_1, A320_fuse_2 and A320_fuse_3?I think i've gone and confused myself now!Hope someone can help,Matt.

Is there such a FS9 utility/program named, FSPaint?Not, RePaint....but FSPaint.I am aware (even though I am a newbie to flight sim painting) that there is such a utility/program called, "Re-Paint", (Abacus). I have downloaded a .zip file which is supposed to contain a Cessna C208b in Penair livery (FS2004). When I extract the .zip there are three .bmp texture files in a folder called C208b. The readme says that I need paintkit_cessna_c208b.zip. What for? I am confused!

Hi allFirst of all i will say im sorry for posting this question youve probably all answered millions of times but it has been really annoying me and i am losing my patience.For the last two days i have been trying to find out how on earth i repaint my aerosoft twin otter.i currently only have microsoft paint but a new program is on the way soon.how can i paint my twin otter with floats with a fedex livery. I was wondering if it's possible to paint an aircraft with the paint program. Is this possible?

Im reapinting in cs3 for fsx, i save the file as a 32 bit bmp, then I run imagetool and create mipmaps so it will work in fsx, but the textures always show up blurry, what am I doing wrong?

I have engine texture in .psd format.I viewed it with iRfanview then saved as bmp, then used DXTbmp to make it 32bit bmp testure .... Looked real good in DXTBMP but real bad in FS9.I reloaded the the 32bit file back into DXTBMP .. looks good.Will other programs like Paint Shop read in .psd file format?Do not know if I lost the quality in the conversion or maybe MSFS9?

I used mspaint to cut and paste a RR (rolls Royce) logo (24bit) onto an engine. Looked good.Used DXTbmp to save it as extended DXT3 file and also as 32 bit file of the engine and logo. Both looked ok when viewed with DXTBmp.I had a DXT3 and 32 bit aircraft to test my textures on.But, when I viewed the engine in MSFS9 the engine looked ok but the logo looks "blurry".See Attached JPGsI feel I am close to getting it right ... but not there yet.Maybe I missed clicking an option in DXTBmp .. do not know?

I found some Brazilian registered Cessna 550 AI planes that I would like to add to my FS9 AI world, but the planes have this silver look to them (the silver look goes away when you turn off the aircraft refeltions). Is there any way to fix this using MS Paint? (I am not a painter and do not have any other paint programs)

If you are interested in repainting default aircraft, think twice before purchasing this product. Although it claims to be able to do it, it can't.It will not allow you to repaint default FSX aircraft if you have installed SP2.

And I cant open any of the bmp's unless MSPaint will open them as well. The attachment is what I get...I hope the 800x600 limit allows or it to be seen...Never thought that resolution would become a hindrance!

Hey,I use FSR V2 to view the progress as I paint. Since loading FSX accerelation it would seem that FS Repaint does not show some of the aircraft anymore.Does anyone know how to fix this ?ORcan anyone tell me how to get FSX to refresh and changed texture without haveing to shut down and restart it everytime ?Thanks :)

When I expanded my Dell XPS system to 4 gigs of RAM, I hoped I would be able to work with very large texture maps for ground texturing. I have PSP 6 and I see no improvement in the image size I can work with. PSP just drops you if your texture size is too big. Anyone have a comment or a fix? Thanks in advance.

I need help with a RR (Rolls Royce) aircraft engine repaint.If I use tha attached JPG (copy of the .bmp) in a Level-D "RR" Model aircraft. I do not know how to attach the two actual bmp's for your review.When I view the aircraft (spot view at airport) I see the left engine with the RR logo on the inboard and outboard sides of the Left engine.The right engine has no RR logo on it at all, inboard or outboard side.What I think I need to get the engine repaint fixed is:Get the engine image in the lower left of this bmp rotated clockwise and pasted into the the upper right corner of the bmp.Get the image in the upper right corner rotated counterclockwise 180 degrees and moved…

Hi allDont know if I ghave posted this in the right place but thought it looked write. I have just downloaded the American Airlines 777-2000 repaint from The Fruit Stand. Everything is OK and the texture shows fine but it is a little transparrent so you can see through it. Does anybody know what causes this or what the problem could be. Dont have this on any of my other re paints so think I might need to change to another paint. Any help gratefully received.Thanks
