I'm a first time repainter, and I'm trying to paint the winglets for the Jet2 757 G-LSAB for the PSS 757.I've created the textures (by modifying the original), but the winglets aren't displaying properly when using fs9.After making the bitmap, I converted it to 32bit extended format with DXT BMP.I'v attached screenshots of the textures, and what actually displays. The Jet2.com logo is supposed to be on the outside of the winglet - which it is in the screenshot. But the inside of the winglet is supposed to be blank with just red, but the texture appears to be wrapping around the text to the inside. Any idea what that is, and how I fix it?

Hello all,I just had a quick question about modifying an existing repaint. There is an existing repaint available for download that I would like to modify to create a "hybrid" livery. The aircraft I want to paint changed airline owners and had an interim paint scheme with the colors of one airline and the logos of another. However, the file I would like to edit contains an invalid email address, so I no longer have a way to contact the original author to ask permission to use his work as a "base" line for my repaint.I could probably just upload my finished texture and no one would know, but I'm hoping to do the "right thing" in this case. Hi,Im fairly new to repainting, and i've been working on a BA livery for the 747X. Im alsmot done, the only problem I have is the PMDG 747 is way too shiny for my liking.Can anyone explain to me how to tone down the reflections?Regards,Rik

Hello all !I want to do some repaint jobs using FS Repaint. I have no problem with the ones from Microsoft, Eaglesoft and Wilco. But for some reason, aircrafts from Carenado (C172N) and Aerosoft are not loading in FS Repaint. Do I miss something? :( Thanks for any clues.

just a simple question...the paint program that comes with windows ..IF i have a paint kit can i use it with windows paint or do i really have to bye a program to make it work..and if it wont..what would you recommend for someone who NEVER tried painting before...

Hello!I'm completely new to repainting, and am only taking to it now that I've bought FsPassengersX and want a livery for my airline. After a (very) brief look through these forums to see what programs would help me avoid opening FSX every time I wanted to check on the paint's progress, I downloaded the demo for FS Repaint, and found that it doesn't much like Wilco's E-Jets:The texture shows up fine in the sim, of course. Is there a solution for this?If it helps, I'm using Vista+SP1 and FSX+Acceleration.Thanks.

im sort of new at this and im wondering what thw paint manager does and where can i get it.does this program automatically puts files where they belong, also i did some searching and i see where they have a FSX version and im looking for the FS9 version.as i said im attempting to paint the level d.thanks............Robert

Hi all,Yesterday and today (update) I have uploaded the new Swimsuit livery (featuring Bar Refaeli) of Southwest for AI Aardvark B737-300 winglet. In fact I was bad informed. It seems that it is a B737-700 winglet, which resembles very well the former. The basic Southwest repaint was done by Jim Martin.So here is the right baby, which will be uploaded soon.EnjoyRob

hi alli have downloaded a few planes. followed the read me to install them. but when o open them in fsx the dont have any coulor. after searching to find out why. i find the new aircraft textures are bit maps but all the origional are in DDS format is this why they dont work. is so how do i fix this

Hello there. I was wondering if anyone could tackle the following - in the WI08 TACA International flight plan there is a requirement for Airbus A321 aircraft - TACA. I couldn't find this aircraft (in EvolveAI or DJC models) - its a plain TACA A321 - no birds and such.Could someone please paint this aircraft and upload it to AVSIM? Note: I believe all three is these aircraft have the same livery so only one needs to be painted.The reg numbers of these Taca Peru aircraft are N564TA, N566TA, and NN568TA. I think these aircraft have IAE engines.Thanks so much.Frank

Is there any way to use photoshop elements 7 as the editor for FS Repaint? I have it set as the editor and it opens when I try to edit but it won't load anything becuase photoshop doesnt support DDS files. If there is no way to do this I am gonna have to say FS Repaint is absolutely worthless.

Hi all,My latest repaint: Wataniya Airways Airbus A320 for Project Airbus. Wataniya Airways is a new company based in Kuwait started its first flights at the end of last month with two A320s.My repaint is nearly finished. It was hard work (I think the aircraft skin designers want to make our life a misery).Moreover there are only a few pictures available and none with a high resolution.Here is a pic of my work. Hi everyone, I am new here also in repainting.I tried to repaint aircraft but it was a hard work for me, anyway I am keep trying and still learning.So if there is anyone who likes to repaint and can help me it will be a great for me.My request is "Bulgaria Air" for PMDG 737-700 without winglets for FS2004.The specific thing is that Bulgaria Air does not have 737-700, only 737-300/500 of Boeing family.The pictures can be found in Airliners.net.
