Hey all,After a year of struggles and setbacks, I've finally managed to find a way on how to paint the PMDG 747 and F models respectively.Although with the success that has brought with it, there's still some minor changes that needs to be done. Can you find them?If so, what do I have to do to correct them?I'll go over the .psd's now and see if I can change the door color. To everyone, have a splendid weekend,Cheers!

I have downloaded some new aircrafts, but none of the textures show up. The models work all fine, but the textures won't show up. It's the same both on the outside of the aircraft and inside the cockpit. The 2D-panels work like they should.Does anyone know what to do? I'am running Vista and have Accelration installed.

Hi all,I have done a few repaints in FSX (Accel) and have no problem there - but one thing that frustrates me is that sometimes the Aircraft Reload function doesn't always seem to work, requiring time consuming restarts to FSX.Does anyone know why this occurs or does everyone just put up with it?! I'm trying to finish up my first repaint for the POSKY 757-200WL but I'm having problems with how it looks at night. I've tried a bunch of different lightmaps from various repaints but the windows never seem to line up. So I was wondering if there are any tutorials out there that teach you how to create your own lightmaps for repaints, are there any?Andy

Maybe you are wondering why a Painting FAQ's has been created weeks ago and there is still nothing to see.The explanation is simple , I cannot yet access this part of the forum and post there.I hope the management will take action , but due to the big disaster , it will probably take some time.More important things have to be taken care of first naturally.Leen de Jager

Hi AllI was wondering if there was an owner/painter out there who has the Aerosoft beaver, (2004 version), who could paint the modern cockpit panel black for me as it's currently silver. I flew in a beaver from Rose Bay Sydney Australia when I was on honeymoon. It had modern instruments but they were set in a black panel and this is where my request is coming from. I think this would take moments for a talented painter, but sadly, I have no painting skills. Sincere thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.Best regards.Malcolm (Rooster) Hancock

(I tried this post once and it went to never-never land because of something I did wrong, so there may be a duplicate somewhere.)I have seen many conflicting posts on this subject elsewhere, but the answers either don't work or the files referred to are not in the locations specified and I can't find them. Can PSP 8.0 be used with the DDS files in FSX for FSX repaints? If so how do I get there?I am only interested in using PSP. I do only minor repaints (Serial Numbers/ fuselage Lettering etc) and even those infrequently, so the price of PhotoShop puts that program out of the cost-effective range for me. Also I have used the various versions of PSP for years and am at lea…

Hi!I have searched and searched for a long period of time, but still I cant find a good paint kit for theDHC-2 Beaver from Aerosoft. I know it is possible to use the paint kit on this Aerosoft pageThe BeaverX product pagebut I dont know how to modify it. The lines and bolts have no own layer, so all the paint isoverwriting the textures.So.... I am looking for a paint kit which easily can be used to create new variations, where all paint are in layers.Best regards,Tom A Hansen

Hello, fellow simmers and repainters,I'm currently working on a new livery for the Wilco/Feelthere Legacy and after completing much of the work I've encountered one specific problem: I can't find the texture file (or part of a texture file) for these two parts of the model: the nacelle pylon (I hope that's the correct english translation for it - the part where the engine is fixed to the fuselage) and this little antenna in front of the fin(I've attached a screenshot, where I've marked the parts in question....) I tried every texture file (especially the ext_1, ext_2 files and the textures for the wings and for the engine nacelle), but I can't find the skin for these two…

Hey Gents,I'm toying around with creating a new livery for a Caribbean based cargo hauling B1900. Below is a pic I made using the Ameriflight livery as a base layer (ignore the engine stripes, I didn't take the time to remove them for this exercise). So this is just a "quick and dirty" scheme to get an idea of what direction the final livery should go. Opinions?

Hello Gents,I've been working with repainting for some time now (using Paint Shop Pro) but I've never really figured out how to get the original details from a texture to show through a new layer. For instance, say you have a blank fuselage texture that has all the panel lines and rivets. If I place a new layer above it, in which the new paint covers the details, how do I get the details to show through without diluting the color of the new paint? Many thanks. :(
