Hi everyone,I have the Overland Airbus package and also got the repaint kits downloaded at the overland homepage (one download for A319, A320, A321).Now - i am trying to repaint the A319. However i dont have the tail - paintfile "a319tail_t.bmp" in the paintkit. I can find the "a320tail_t.bmp" file. Strange enough - this file comes not as a layered version (as the fuselage files come). Same with the engine (CFM only) and wing files - plain bitmap. The provided "a320tail_t.bmp" file does not seem to work. Although it seems to have the same content, renaming it and copying it into my set of paint files does not work. Good news for FSRepaint users. The version of this program currently posted on the Abacus web site works with Vista. Now, the version number (2) is the same as it's been for quite some time. However, it is not the same program - it is a newer version.In addition, this new version also supports one more level in a directory structure. In other words, you can now use fsxsimobjectsairplanes(next directory level). The developer is working on a new version that will support a structure where the user can place *.bmp files in other places besides the airplaces folder.If all that is not clear here is an example. First - I aologize if this is a really stupid question. I'm really really new at this. I've been doing my first repaint. I've been using FS Repaint V2 and alternating between the built-in texture editor and Paint Shop Pro 7. Everything was going along fine and the A/C looked good in FS Repaint. The when I tried to fly it in FSX - the fuselage looked fine but the wings and tail were transparent. Obviously I've screwed up the 2 wings.bmp files, but I don't know how or how to fix it - if I can.Could anyone give me help or at least a clue? Thanks

I'm looking for a painter that can help...I've been trying to get someone to paint the Aerosim L-1011 in the colors of Hawaiian Air when they operated the aircraft. I have all the paint kits needed and am even willing to pay for the scheme I just need the painter. Is there anyone out there that can help or someone that might be able to point me in a direction of someone who can help me? I haven't even had much luck finding commercial repainting sites. Hey guys, I am in the process of creating/modifying a British Airways repaint, and i am looking to create the tail number as close as possible to the real font, which can be seen closeup in the attachment or via the web link (see below). I have searched everywhere for the font (see attached/linked image), and cannot find it, or one similar, it seems to be fairly unusual... I would appreciate it if someone could tell me where to find a font that resembles it very closely, or indeed is the same. Hi everyone,Using Photoshop to create a paint someone requested. After flattening the image I sharpen the textures and save as .TGA then I open in BMPdxt and flip image and alpha and save as a .DDS DXT5. I guess I can create mip-maps in DXTbmp but would rather use DDS Converter v2.1 as I always have. There are 2 issues I am concerned with. First problem is that DDS Converter tool crashes when I select the DDS textures I created but it does not crash when I use the tool to mip-map and convert the PMDG created textures to DXT5. Before you ask why I will say that is my preference when it comes to using AC textures in FSX. Maybe I am not saving the file in lower case I am …

Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the paintkit for the Dreamwings Q400? I am doing a custom paint for an old friend and cannot find a paintkit for the model anywhere. There probably was a paintkit available on Dreamwings website but IMS they shut that down some time ago.Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am having a problem with the Wilco A319 where I am trying to place 3 lines (10 pixels each) near the rear door curving up to the tail and the lines become jagged as they curve upwards. I am not particularly convinced that it is the actual .bmp file rather it may be the file related to the programming and where the applied colors & lines, doors, windows etc are supposed to go, like say perhaps the .air or .mdl file, I am not sure which one.For curiosity sake I would like to know which file it is that is responsible for placing colors, objects etc. onto the aircraft.Thanks.

I would like to paint the BAW tail logo using photoshop (I am fairly new to this program) and was wondering if someone knows how to create the highlights.I will try the "light" filter and see if that works. Any suggestions would be appreciated, either a link to the logo or even a tutorial would be helpful.Thanks,

I am still messing with FS9. For some reason, when I try topaint a plane, i lose the texure and all goes grey. I use DXT and save the image as a DXT3. I have even tried some add-on planes where there is no alpha channel. I even wetso far as to open a file with PSP7, do nothing to it and save it. WHen I do this, I can see the paint. If I open the file, make a small change to it and save it, I see nothing but grey.Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I've looked for days and have yet to come up with anything for this great model.I still fly it in FS9 and would like to repaint.Any help is appreciated.KJ

Hi,I just started my hand at repainting. I'm trying to start with the MAAM DC-3 cargo version.I have the paint kit with the various templates.Here is what I'm doing, but it's not working.I take the base texture of the cargo DC-3. Copy it and rename it to my new version (texture.XX for example). I add the entry in the config file by copying the existing entry, and modifying it for the the new version.As a test I open FS9 to see if it's loaded and it loads perfectly. So now I go back and gett the paint kitbare textures to copy over into my new texture file by renaming the bare texture to match and overrite the existing texture in my new texture file. Hi all,I have been on AVSIM and downloaded a FSP AI aircraft with Jet2.com textures by a Thomas Eisenbach. Please ... bare with me and read on ... Yet this guy must be a complete retard because his night textures show a US Airways livery on top of a jet2.com livery (see screenshot below). Does anyone know what font McDonnell Douglas used on aircraft such as the DC-9/DC-10, etc.? It almost looks like a square blocky gothic font, but I haven't had much luck in finding it.
