So I'm probably posting this in the wrong spot and will probably get chastized for it, but I am wondering if anyone downloaded the POSKY Alaska 737-800 colors with the lei around the tail done by Pusan1? I think it has been deleted off avsim. I installed it but the plane loads with the engine textures but no fuse or tail textures? Could it be a problem with me running it on 2004? Its the same problem i have with the delta 767-400s (POSKY), there was something with the textures they used and they wont load. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!Andrew

Does anybody know of a paint kit for the default FS2004 Cessna Grand Caravan? I am trying to do a favor for my nephew and would prefer to start with nice, blank, hopefully layered textures. I can do it myself, I just would prefer not to spend the time to break it up into layers if I do not have to. Thanks in advance,Bill

Im confident with the painting of an aircraft using the paint kits, but I would like to enhance my repaints to make them look more realistic by adding dirt or shading, Im currently repainting an IFDG Airbus A320 but the paint kit for it is "Clean". are there any paint kits for this aircraft that include shading or dirt etc, or are there any good tutorials on how to add these effects, i have a couple of tutorials inc the cal classic one but they dont seem to explain how to add these effects from scratch only how to do it using the alpha channels, which unfortunately dont appear to be on any of the paints I have for this "Bird"any help would appreciated

Hi Folks, I am not yet up to speed here. I am repainting using DXTMBP and PSP9. The textures are DXT3 16million colours. Here's the problem. I make an edit and save it back to the texture folder. However when I reload it back into PSP9 using DXTBMP again for further work I see that my nice crisp lines have now bled blocks of colour and things don't look so good. The bleed through shows up in the sim.Is there a way to keep things nice and sharp without bleeding? Regards...Ken

I am trying to convert an older plane for FSX that has the MDL set for transparent surfaces and I have been trying to convert it to reflective surfaces. I have used MDLC and the plane is reflective now, but ALL the surfaces are reflective, even textures in the alpha layer that aren't suppose to be. The spinning prop is now a solid surface instead of semi-transparent. So I am guessing MDLC changes everything in the MDL file to reflective? Is there another way to do this or anyway to fix the prop or modify the MDL so the prop displays correctly?

Hi Folks. I am doing some simple repaints of the Gmax Academy C-17 Globemaster111. I am using DXTBMP and PSP9. I have made my repaint to the fuselage and wings but the tailfin logo shows up as a smudge. The original fin texture looks different from the rest of the textures. It appears to be a matt grey finish.I have tried copying and pasting a selection from the fuselage and cloning one side of the fin with it but the logo still is smudged and the other original side of the fin now shows the original artwork to be smudged also now. I have also tried simply using the texture from the supplied paintkit and then overwriting the original texture but that does not work either.…

Hey everyone, hope you can help me here too - I'm having a small problem getting "transparent" windows. I've been able to "fix" an older plane to get windows to show transparently, but I am having a problem with the main windshield to get to show properly. I tried doing everything that I can, and I just get the picture that they used for it to not be transparent. Tried 32 bit, DXT3, and even mip maps, no luck. I can't remember for the life of me what I did to get the windows to work. I'm trying to update this for the community to be able to use, so any help is greatly appreciated. I've decided to try my hand at aircraft repaints. I have no problem making a bezier curve but I can't figure out how to taper the lines at the end. I've included a couple pics to illustrate what I'm trying to do. This isn't the repaint I'm actually doing, but just an example.
