I finally decided to paint a livery for my PMDG 744-400F. I have finished the initial artwork on the fuselage and want to see how it looks before completing the engines and vertical stabilizer.(I did remenber to reverse the images on the right side).Now I am to the cutting and arranging part. I applied the cutting template in a layer. I drew a selection box around the first color and then turned the cutting templete layer off. I did a copy merged to the clipboard and pasted it into my layout template. The zize od the area does not match the size of the area in the layout template. I got the POSKY 737-900ER paintkit, made em in Photoshop, saved em as 24bit BMPs, went into DXTBMP, unchecked MipMapping, savid it as Extended Bitmap, 32bit 888-8. Then when I load the plane up in the Flight Sim when FS immdeiately closes. What did I do wrong? Help much appreciated

Im just doing my first ever repaint following the tutorial from calclassic.com, the only differance being is Im using Photoshop pro as opposed to paintshop pro (because I havent got it) what Im trying to find out is how to to use a picture I already have as a Tailfin logo, can someone please tell me or point me in the direction of a tutorial of how to import such a picture as a T/Fin logo, thank you for any help you can offer me.

Baffled again. This time fooling around with a Lockheed Electra from Avsim. I've got the paint the way I want it, but would like some of the chrome bits to be a bit more reflective. I export the alpha channel from DXT to Photoshop. To remove any doubt that I'm really seeing what I think I'm seeing, I created a half black, half white alpha channel, re-imported it into DXT, and saved the whole thing as a DTX3 bitmap.When I view the new paint in FSRepaint it appears exactly as I would expect given the alpha channel. FS9, however, seems to ignore the alpha channel completely and use the texture colors exclusively.I've read various threads and seen the reflective vs. transpare…

Hi,How do you guy's alter the night lighting effect shown on the side of the A/C at night.I am using FS Re-paint with Photoshop 8.I can see the night textures in FS Re paint, and can import them in to PSP8, but thats where I am stuck, I wanted to alter some, but don't quite know how this is done.many thanks for any help.

Hi Gang.I'm just starting to get into the joys of painting aircraft, and while I am thoroughly enjoying it, I'm getting hung up on a few points.I have both the Wilco CRJ200, and Legacy business jets, and I like flying them so much that I decided to do a re paint for them.I downloaded the kits, and started to work on them. (I make back ups of all of course)but, the paint kits don't contain the engines and wings, so when you fire up FS9 it looks weird.So, I decided to just try and re-paint a downloaded scheme that I got from Avsim, and transform it in to my colours instead, but what a time I have had.I can't seem to paint round the windows very easily, the same for the door…

This is my first serious MSFS skin.It's based on a B&W (unfortunatly) photo from an old issue of AIR International that I have.It was part of an article about the Albatross. Seems that this is the scheme used by the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force on a couple of G-262s (equiv of the USN UF-2) from 1961-1976. The engine cowling was a bit different from this model.The colors are my best guess based on color photos of similarly painted aircraft. The Japanese Text is my best effort, though I bet it's jibberish if you can read the language...

Hello Guys, I was wondering if any of you know where i can get a repaint of Delta Airlines' current livery for the IFDG MD-11. I know there is already a repaint for the IFDG MD-11 in Delta's Widget livery but i cant find any downloads for their newest livery! Hi all,I'm trying to "spruce up" the default DC-3 Delta Airlines livery (just practice-learning), and I would like to know how to find the nose-top anti-glare area in front of the cockpit. I suppose it would be found on the rather cryptic-looking jumbled up texture file that Microsoft calls "Douglas_DC3_1_T.bmp"But where to find it on there? Is it a wrap-around texture or something like that?I have Donald Dervin's dc3ddlzc.zip, and its anti-glare area is brown. I want to paint that black.Can someone please lend a hand?Thanks!!4deucer

I fly for Mack Air Virtual, and i am attempting to create a Repaint for us..... it is JUST like a BAW Paint, accept we replace "British Airways" with "Mack Air".....Below, is the picture, i got a image of a BAW Aircraft on Airliners.net then i used the eye droper to get a color sample..... then i boxed the area where i want to place the paint, it worked out great, accept, i can seem to have all of the Lovely Level-D Fuselege Textures to show through, like the Antennas and, you know, the textures and weathered look to the fuselage, it was just a SOLID Box....
