I am looking to repaint a freeware aircraft that I downloaded. After looking through the tutorial listed on the lycos website, I am running into a problem. I am trying to load the .bmp's into PhotoShop and it is saying that the files isn't recognized. Is the aircraft's oroginal painter somehow locking the file so that noone can repaint it? If that is the case, how do I go about getting the outlines of the plane to start my repainting.Thanks,John

Are there any painter that would like to paint a NWA 744F pmdg plane? I know they use the 742F, but there's a 744F for Fedex and some other non existant paints. I would really like to see one. Thanks.

Hi, all.I'm writing a professional APA style paper for a class in college. I'm looking for some repaints in Companies Liveries with the Airline Tail logo still there. For Example. A 777 painted in the Home Depot Logo with Delta's Tail still there. Or a 737 Painted in Wal-Mart Logo with Southwest's Tail Colors. So I would like the Entire Aircraft painted in the Company representation with just the Airline's Tail. I really don't need the Repaint for I have no intentions on flying them. I would Just like the repaints done on a White Background preferably with the aircraft landing gear down in landing configuration. If there's Someone out there that can Help me it would Be GR…

I just downloaded the POSKY 747-400 RR paintkit, but when I had painted the fuseladge, I discovered that the engines did not have any kind of textures, I checked in the texture folder, and the texture was there, does anyone know what I can do to fix this?NEED HELP!:-boom

I am trying to find out how to convert the main airplane texture file (i.e. c208B_T) to the inverse texture file (i.e. c208B_t_spec). I have already figured out that the second file is just the inverse of the alpha of the first file.On my first repaint I just manually painted both files but it seems obvious to me that there is a way to only paint the first file, create an alpha of it, and then just inverse the alpha to create the second file. But how do I do this? Can anyone help?

I tried my first repaint in FSX and I have encountered one problem that I cannot seem to overcome. When my repaint is finished and I load the new repaint files into FSX, the windows are green. Any idea why this might be happening?I use Image tool to convert the original files to .bmp so I can work on them in Paint Shop Pro, then I save the files as either photoshop or .bmp files and use Imagetool to reconvert to DXT5 files.Everything comes out just fine except the windows - they are green - the same color that they are in the .bmp file. Help!!BTW, what is the _spec file? Thanks for any help.Mike

After years of using Paint Shop Pro, I finally broke down and started experiementing with a 30-day evaluation copy of Photoshop CS2. I like the ability to use the pressure-sensitive features of my Wacom tablet (which wasn't supported by PSP, at least through V8.1).Now that I'm faced with the possibility of long sessions, I ran across the following issue: I open texture files with DXTBmp 4.00 and have Photoshop set as the editor. I can send a bitmap to Photoshop and if I'm doing something quick, when I'm done I flatten the layers, "Save", go back to DXTBmp and "reload after edit". Works perfectly.However, if I try to "Save as" during a session in Photoshop to periodically …

I have been trying to find a thread for this problem. I try to download the rapints for aircraft and it does but how do i get them on the fsx

Downloaded a Midwest DC-9 from Simviation (hangs head in shame). It comes up on FS2000 OK, but unpainted. If I try to look at any of the bmp files in texture, they come up as "drawing failed"Downloaded DXTBMP, but I'm not sure what to do with it.Any suggestions would be appreciated.ThxDave (newbie)

Hi, I'm a newbie here... (and i'm not pretty good in english, so please, be cool with me...)I'd like to make a new paint for one of my plane (on fs9). I simply tested to change with photoshop the "*.bmp" of texture directory. than I choose the plane with her new texture and FS9 stops... i don't understand why. Could you explain that for me?
